I cannot express how much we loved the cake & specialty dinosaur cookies for my grandson's 2nd birthday. I emailed what we wanted and we immediately received a phone call to confirm. When I picked them up the day of the party it was easy. The gentleman who waited on me was so nice and help carry them to my car. My sister and I hosted a baby shower over the past weekend and placed an order for a custom two-tiered cake, which was matched beautifully to the invitation. The flavors were good, but the cake as a whole would be over the top with whipped icing instead of buttercream. There were 10 people in attendance and over half was left, so this would definitely feed at least 20-30 people. Curbside delivery and super-friendly service at pickup, where we also grabbed a package of Pecan Bars, which is one of my sister's favorite treats. They're like a thin pecan pie, but not as gooey. In March I ordered a cake and a dozen cupcakes. They were so nice and patient with us while we picked. Even let us taste a cupcake. The day we picked up we called and asked to add one more dozen cupcakes and they said absolutely and had them ready. I called last night at 5:30 and spoke with a sweet young man who ensured me even though they were closed he would help me with my cupcake craving. I walked in the door around 5:40ish, they were so wonderful and had the cupcakes ready to go. I highly recommend this place. Very disappointed with a carrot cake we purchased from Moms. We've purchased many other cakes in the past that were all excellent but this carrot cake didn't taste like anything and lacked flavor. Very bland. The icing was supposed to be cream cheese but tasted more like buttercream. This cake was $30 for a 9" round and we wish we spent that money more wisely elsewhere. Horrible customer service. I had 2 coupons for buy 6 get 6 free. I wanted to use both coupons, even if it was on 2 different transactions and they refused. They said I could come all the way back tomorrow morning to use the second coupon. Not very customer friendly when they were going to take it anyway. I asked them to make an exception and they would not work with me at all. I ended up not buying anything from there and will not be back. This place makes by far the best cake I've EVER eaten. We moved down here just over three years ago and for our daughters first birthday we ordered her cake from here. We have ordered here every year since. Our family comes from all over and they all tell us they won't come unless we have our cakes from these people. On customer service alone, five stars!!!!!! I ordered a dozen cupcakes to be delivered to my son who is working in Whitesboro for the summer. Marjorie was fantastic to work with. I'm on the West Coast, so she was kind enough to look up his work address (to see if she could deliver there). She then called me back to confirm that she could and took my order. The following day, she personally delivered them (25 miles away!) and even called me after she dropped them off! How great is that?! I ordered a variety of cupcakes. My son raved about the cherry coca cola flavor! I wish I was able to taste them all myself. This is my very FIRST review that I've ever been compelled to write. Moms bakery has been all I've heard about birthday cakes since I got to Sherman. The truth is more like you'd be better off slathering some Betty Crocker icing on some Jiffy cornbread mix & calling it a birthday cake. Any cake mix you buy at the grocery is better than Mom's. Their cupcakes are good. $9 for six cupcakes. I bought some today and liked how the cupcakes tasted but you have to be careful on their packaging. They are recycling their cupcake trays. I addressed it to the one who served me and said that it was just from the cupcakes that she put on it. When I got home and opened it, it was so obvious that the tray was used. It has spots of dried water all over it and old red icing on the sides. For $1.50 per cupcake, they could have consider being clean and used a new cupcake container. read more
