Went hiking nearby and stopped in here with some friends. Grabbed about 4 pies total and went back to our Airbnb. These were amazing! It was really nostalgic and took me back to being a kid when my momma would make hand pies. Stopped in the next day and grabbed some frozen ones to take back to Texas! Love these pies! Savory fried pies..? Who knew..? I was in the area on a Jeep off-roading trip, and this was on the way to the meet-up stop, so I decided to stop in and try them out... yeah, wise choice! I've had fried pies from all around OK and TX, and these were pretty good. Not sure if I'm a fan of the savory pies, though. I tried the egg, bacon and cheese... the eggs develop a strange texture in the re-warming process which I think is the only thing I didn't like about the pie. The crust was warm and flaky, delicious, but the egg threw me off. I also tried the Polish sausage and potato which, again, crust was so good but the sausage ended up a bit dry. The potatoes were good. Wish they could be customized with cheese or mushrooms, but understand they're pre-made and then rewarmed. As for the Apricot, forget about it... I was all over that pie and dreaming of some vanilla ice cream to add some additional sweet to that amazing flavor. Had to make do with my chocolate milk. Definitely a family run, friendly staff, delicious place to stop when you're in the area. read more

We are from San Antonio and was driving through town wanted a fried pie so we dropped this place that my wife recommended. The people are friendly the pies are fabulous they have great flavor they have sugar free fruit they have meats a great variety to choose from. We decided to stop by here on the way to Dallas to try some fried pies. I've always driven by this place but never stopped and I'm so glad I did today. We decided to try the blueberry and chocolate peanut better cream pies. I got the Burberry. It was. A hard choice of which pie to try, as they all look fantastic. The crust was so good and the filling ratio was perfect. My boyfriend got the chocolate peanut butter cream fried pie and thought it was good, but had a large amount of filling. He ate it all though. Granted we did feel pretty full and heavy after eating them, but it was an enjoyable experience for us! The crust was flakey and not too oily. The atmosphere is charming kind of like a cozy campsite vibe inside. The bathrooms were fairly clean, nothing remarkable but decent enough. As for the fried pies, I don't have much to compare them to since I haven't tried many elsewhere. They were okay, not amazing, but not bad either. I personally didn't enjoy the crust and ended up leaving it on all of the pies. Since they're fried, they're definitely rich and very filling. Service was good overall. It was a tad busy but they are quick and efficient on getting things out quickly. Loved the souvenir cups too! Prices are fair and the eat in area was clean. The only issue was the lady taking our order was super rude. She snapped at my daughter because she tried to take her pie when she sat it down on the counter. Savory pies are made to order, which takes around 8 minutes. They come out piping hot and require a few minutes before you can comfortably enjoy the pies. We tried to order a savory pie but learned it would take 30 minutes to cook and prepare so we opted for a lemon pie and strawberry pie to go on our way to OKC. I thought the lemon filling was going to be high viscocity but it was actually watery. It was a bit difficult to eat it while driving, but it was still good. I just wish the sweetness was cut back a bit. I ended up saving the strawberry pie for the next day and in my opinion it was way better than the lemon pie in taste and texture. Guess I was expecting fried pies like Grandma made. Fried in a skillet (with lard). It was my mistake not understanding it was deep fried in vegetable oil. The ingredients was good, but my son & I just couldn't eat the outside. While trying to eat them they fell apart, soggy. Bought 5 pies but ended up throwing three away. Local raccoons at the campground loved them, vegetable oil & all. Don't want you to see my review as negative, because many people love this place (per reviews). I just don't want you to misunderstand fried in skillet vs deep fried. Just too good! A great place to stop!! My family and I were in Oklahoma for about 1.5 months, we are from California and have nothing like this. I drove here from Ada, Oklahoma to check it out and it was so exciting haha. I ordered a good variety of their pies and they all were so good! Blackberry. Surprisingly my favorite, I'm not a huge blackberry person. But it was my favorite, I really wish I could have more :( haha !! Cherry, lemon mmm, apple so good! I'm not sure if they are always served hot but I ended up going twice and the second time around the pies I ordered were all served hott! So if you like your pie warm try and see if you can get a hott one Also tried the tex mex, chicken and vegetable, a breakfast pie and Broccoli cheddar they are were so good and such a nice meal to have if you're having a craving for different flavors. I have been coming to this hole in the wall spot for many years!! This has always been a to go spot on the way back to Texas from Oklahoma, whether it was with friends or with family. This place was built from the ground up with love and hard work from the previous owner. She worked hard to root this business by selling pies from the back of her car to selling it in an actual establishment. It is not the most clean place you will go to, but it's expected for a spot that many people stop at. Now for the pies, man you will not regret anything here. They have a variety of different flavor pies from apple, apricot, vanilla, coconut, to chocolate, and etc. My favorite has always been the pecan pie and the coconut! They have another flavors such as chicken and broccoli and others, but I was never too much of a fan of those.
