So addicting ! I love their fried pies. Came here on vacation with my dad. Now every time we come through we stop here for a few. I purchase several vanilla and cherry and snack on them for a few days. Delicious, made with what taste like love. Sweet, balanced flavor, this dessert is like nothing I've ever had. Delicious. Taking some home with me next time all the way back to Brazil if they last that long. read more

I live in Texas and stop here twice a year. Once on the way to OKC and once on the way back. Cherry is the best flavor IMO. One small criticism: I think the pies have gotten slightly smaller or they have less filling inside of them. There's excess dough at the closed edge. It used to be you could take one bite and get right into the filling. Now the first bite is all dough, and you have to take a second bite before you can even get into the filling. Also, the men's bathroom always seems to stink. But that could be due to old plumbing. read more

Have you ever been somewhere and immediately known you found a hidden gem? This is definitely one of those places. Don't be fooled by the exterior. It looks like a gas station (since it is one) but it is so much more! Go inside and prepare to be transported back to Grandma's kitchen. So many fried pies to choose from! Sweet, savory, all delicious! Don't worry if there is a line. You will get your pie. It will be fresh. It will be worth the wait! If you are there at the right time, you can watch the team preparing batches of deliciousness. The crust is that perfect combination of crunchy and flakey. The fillings are flavorful and abundant. The workers are happy to help you decide on your ideal flavor. Don't be afraid to ask what is most popular or their favorite. It was one of the best stops on our two week long road trip and we tell everyone going through this tiny Oklahoma town to stop in. We have added several repeat customers to their business through our ravings! Don't miss out! It is our understanding that this location is actually better than the others so plan a trip and enjoy a lazy day at the nearby park and enjoy these wonderful fried pies read more

Honestly, these pies are the best thing I've ever tasted. Always a must when visiting family out here! It's so homey and welcoming and I buy a dozen every time. My go to is the chocolate cream pie and the cherry. They're just so mouth watering! It's a small placed tucked away perfect for a rest before you get back on the road. Arbuckle Fried Pies is an Oklahoma institution and a staple! I remember going to Falls Creek youth camp as a kid and stopping by Arbuckle's for a special treat, but haven't had a reason to be back in this area of Oklahoma for about a decade now. But recently, I was out here for two different conferences in back-to-back weeks and man, did I make up for lost time! I ended up getting nine different flavors over the course of those two weeks and I enjoyed every second of it! From the first deep inhale when you smell the delicious dough of the pie from the warm bag they just handed you, to the first bite of that same soft, delicious dough, to the very middle bite just oozing with filling, every part of the Arbuckle Fried Pies experience is so special! My only regret is that I probably won't be able to be back for at least another year! However, that makes it all the more special when I finally get the chance to stop by! Until next time! 5/5 read more

These hand pies are delicious! We've been twice now on our way home from OU to Houston. It will always be a pit stop on our drives home. Last month, I tried the peanut butter chocolate and it was absolutely to die for! We head back to OU for parents' weekend next week and I can't wait to get another one...or two! read more

Savory fried pies..? Who knew..? I was in the area on a Jeep off-roading trip, and this was on the way to the meet-up stop, so I decided to stop in and try them out... yeah, wise choice! I've had fried pies from all around OK and TX, and these were pretty good. Not sure if I'm a fan of the savory pies, though. I tried the egg, bacon and cheese... the eggs develop a strange texture in the re-warming process which I think is the only thing I didn't like about the pie. The crust was warm and flaky, delicious, but the egg threw me off. I also tried the Polish sausage and potato which, again, crust was so good but the sausage ended up a bit dry. The potatoes were good. Wish they could be customized with cheese or mushrooms, but understand they're pre-made and then rewarmed. As for the Apricot, forget about it... I was all over that pie and dreaming of some vanilla ice cream to add some additional sweet to that amazing flavor. Had to make do with my chocolate milk. Definitely a family run, friendly staff, delicious place to stop when you're in the area. read more

We decided to stop by here on the way to Dallas to try some fried pies. I've always driven by this place but never stopped and I'm so glad I did today. We decided to try the blueberry and chocolate peanut better cream pies. I got the Burberry. It was. A hard choice of which pie to try, as they all look fantastic. The crust was so good and the filling ratio was perfect. My boyfriend got the chocolate peanut butter cream fried pie and thought it was good, but had a large amount of filling. He ate it all though. Granted we did feel pretty full and heavy after eating them, but it was an enjoyable experience for us! The crust was flakey and not too oily. The service was prompt and the worker told me the top flavors people were buying. Blueberry was not on her list, but I tried that one anyways. The inside was clean and there are many tables to chose from read more

The atmosphere is charming kind of like a cozy campsite vibe inside. The bathrooms were fairly clean, nothing remarkable but decent enough. As for the fried pies, I don't have much to compare them to since I haven't tried many elsewhere. They were okay, not amazing, but not bad either. I personally didn't enjoy the crust and ended up leaving it on all of the pies. Since they're fried, they're definitely rich and very filling. Service was good overall. Our savory pies took about 10 minutes to come out, while the sweet ones seemed to be premade and ready to go. read more

The fried pies, both sweet and savory, are AMAZING! The coconut cream is dream worthy! The chicken and vegetables had so much flavor and wow. It was a tad busy but they are quick and efficient on getting things out quickly. Loved the souvenir cups too! Prices are fair and the eat in area was clean. The only issue was the lady taking our order was super rude. She snapped at my daughter because she tried to take her pie when she sat it down on the counter. I did not appreciate her tone and for no reason really. Had it not been for her it would have been a perfect stop. read more

Went hiking nearby and stopped in here with some friends. Grabbed about 4 pies total and went back to our Airbnb. These were amazing! When passing through, we always stop for some fried pies! They are tasty. Worth your time.

This roadside attraction is a must, a quintessential food stop on any road trip that takes you down I-35 between OKC and Dallas. About 38% of the way from Oklahoma City to Dallas, or 62% of the way from Dallas to Oklahoma City, Arbuckle's is rightfully iconic. The building is conveniently 346 feet from the interstate, they have gas pumps, and there is a massive interior space to eat their famous fried pies. So, here I was road tripping through Oklahoma, a state known for their fried pies (largely because of this place), and I knew I had to stop off. This is truly the ultimate fried pie! It's a far cry from those crappy baked apple pie McDonald's offers, the polar opposite in fact! The delicately fried pie dough is perfectly and lightly crispy, giving way to deliciously flavorful fillings! The lemon is my favorite, but the blackberry is exceptionally good as well! read more

Fried pie redemption! everywhere else we've tried fried pies they're soggy, and cold and don't live up to the hype so I made my husband stop one more time on a long road trip and lo and behold. This is the place to get them hot crispy on the outside soft and the inside just perfect! read more

I love their fried pies. My wife and I stopped in while we were in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful. We tried a couple of the breakfast pies, I had sausage, egg and cheese and my wife had the bacon egg and cheese. We also had to get a couple of fruit pies as well. I haven't been disappointed with anything I've tried. Definitely worth checking out if you like fried pies. read more

Looking for a quick lunch on our way to Natchitoches, we stopped at Arbuckle Fried Pies just off of I-35 near Davis, OK. We both ordered chicken and vegetable pies. Savory pies are made to order, which takes around 8 minutes. They come out piping hot and require a few minutes before you can comfortably enjoy the pies. You order at the counter and select the table of your choice. There is ample seating. The venue is very casual and dinner ware is disposable. The chicken and vegetable pies were very tasty. The flavor is very much like that of chicken pot pie. We were both happy with our choice and enjoyed lunch. It was quick, easy, and good. read more

Heaven on earth, with pies a plenty. Savory pies and fruit pies and cream pies, oh my what a dangerous place that you have to go here. Oklahoma does pies on a whole new hand held level. Apricot is my favorite and no lie I can eat two without hesitation. Then I have some other flavors, you can't go wrong for later, then for breakfast next day. Always best in the parking lot. LOVE LOVE LOVE PIES from here. read more

I was doing a quick weekend trip from Dallas to OKC and stumbled upon this place to check out thanks to Yelp! We tried to order a savory pie but learned it would take 30 minutes to cook and prepare so we opted for a lemon pie and strawberry pie to go on our way to OKC. I thought the lemon filling was going to be high viscocity but it was actually watery. It was a bit difficult to eat it while driving, but it was still good. I just wish the sweetness was cut back a bit. I ended up saving the strawberry pie for the next day and in my opinion it was way better than the lemon pie in taste and texture. Overall a great place to just top and grab some fried pies. read more

Tasty! Simple and delicious but not fancy. These fried pies are so wonderful - both fruit and savory are always so good!! We've been faithful customers forever- since the original gas station location in Ardmore. Favorites are the coconut cream, pineapple and cherry, but we've never had anything that's not tasty. Be prepared to wait in line to place your order, but it doesn't take long. These dedicated people are efficient and will help you decide on how many you need to bring home! Always stop by if your traveling. They have meal ones along with of course dessert pies. We get several to bring home. I like to put sugar on top with butter and heat up! So good. Pineapple and cherry my fav. Husband gets sugar free but not me, I just go for it. Good place to take break from driving. Or we stop for dessert after eating at Smoken Joe's or Bullys by the Lake. They have tables you can sit at. Fountain drinks and restrooms. You also can buy frozen pies. Ladies are always busy making pies, so you know they are fresh. read more

Large seating area with extra space upstairs. Not enough parking spaces but we were there at lunch time so they were busy. We waited for a space someone was backing out of. Nothing frilly about this restaurant but the pies were really good. I had the sausage egg and cheese savory pie. It was piping hot!! I had to cut it in chunks so it would cool enough to eat. I liked it a lot. The cheese was melted and it was all mixed in the sausage and egg. Every bite had all 3 ingredients in it. My husband enjoyed his pizza pie. He said it was like a large fresh pizza roll. There is a 10 to 15 minute wait for savory pies. That's why they are so fresh. They make them after you order them. I also had the sweet cherry pie. It was just like a regular cherry pie. It was kinda messy. I used lots of napkins. My husband had the nsa (no sugar added) Blackberry pie. He loved it. We are already planning our next trip and deciding what we will try then. Very cool and unique restaurant. read more

We ordered 5 pies, cherry, apple, peach, lemon and chocolate. You can't hold the pies, they fall apart. I always thought fried pies should have a crusty sort of dough, these don't. Very heavy dough with oil. Fillings seem like they're processed not homemade. Probably won't stop again. We ended up throwing half away. Make sure you get a fork because you definitely can't hold them and take bites. read more

Great place that does just what they say. Old school staff and experience. You order the counter certain ones. You'll have to wait for but some are pre-prepared. Great fried pies. Just too good! A great place to stop!! My family and I were in Oklahoma for about 1.5 months, we are from California and have nothing like this. I drove here from Ada, Oklahoma to check it out and it was so exciting haha. I ordered a good variety of their pies and they all were so good! Blackberry. Surprisingly my favorite, I'm not a huge blackberry person. But it was my favorite, I really wish I could have more :( haha !! Cherry, lemon mmm, apple so good! I'm not sure if they are always served hot but I ended up going twice and the second time around the pies I ordered were all served hott! So if you like your pie warm try and see if you can get a hott one Also tried the tex mex, chicken and vegetable, a breakfast pie and Broccoli cheddar they are were so good and such a nice meal to have if you're having a craving for different flavors. I wish they had these in southern California, there would be a line out the door!! I hope we go back to Oklahoma again because I want to buy a bunch of frozen ones (they sell them frozen too) so I can bring back for more of my family to try. read more
