Located in the center of Winthrop, Sheri's Sweet Shoppe has sweets for the liking. On a sunny day,…read morewe came here for some ice cream, which they have plenty of, in addition to other food items and a full coffee menu. Sheri's Sweet Shoppe features their own housemade ice cream, which I recommend you trying, in addition to other ice cream flavors that are store purchased. It's nice that they indicate which of the ice cream flavors is housemade, including the scoop that I got, which was Methow Mudslide, a coffee ice cream with Oreo. It was solid. We also got a kid's scoop of vanilla bean for our dog. You can taste the flavors before purchase. There's plenty of seating where the shoppe is located on the outdoor patio, and it's dog-friendly. Staff were friendly even with how busy the spot was. Every town must have ice cream, so it's good to know that Winthrop has a spot just for that.

I always stop here when I go on my annual camping/vacations to Eastern Washington for some fudge…read more It has reopened now after their renovations. It's mostly the same inside besides new carpet and paint, except they added a new chocolatier case filled with all kinds of chocolates and truffles and things. Sorta like what you'd see at like a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The fudge is good and they sell a lot of homemade goods made locally from around the State like jams, hot sauces, and things. The only thing is some items are pretty pricey! Some small jars of jams were like $13-$15 a jar, and I mean SMALL! Also their candy shop for the kids downstairs is basically a scam. They sell gas station/grocery store candy for like triple the price you'd buy it at an other store. I'd avoid that area all together unless you want to pay $6 for a candy bar you could get at a gas station for $2.

It was a really hot day outside, so having a nice cold cup of ice cream and some candy really hit the spot. It was really slow in here compared to the ice cream shop across the street that had a line going out the door, so coming here was a relief. And the ice cream was really good!
