I wholeheartedly wish that there was a North 40 outfitters store in my native Southern California…read more But as my younger brother says whenever we visit, this place could not exist like this in SoCal. It's sort of like if Lowe's, Home Depot, Bass Pro, Tractor Supply, your favorite fly fishing shop we're all rolled into one store, with only the best parts manifested in the aisles. And that's to say nothing of the saddlery, garden center, farm supply, and livestock sections, to name a few. The service here from every member of the staff borders on annoying, but in the most positive way... Everyone on the floor, asks you if you need assistance, but they don't pester you. One of them I've ever connected with is knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to not only make the sale, but make you happy about it. On a recent trip, my son popped a hole in his waders-- not a great thing when you're standing waste deep in 30° alkaline water. The gentleman and the fly shop went out of his way to help us find a pair that fit him, and honored the clearance sale price to get him a $400 pair of waiters for under 70 bucks. More recently, the same kid a year older needed a pair of gloves to endure an unseasonable cold spell that had hit the area. One of the nice gals on the floor, explained that they were switching over to spring, but went out of her way to help him find an inexpensive pair of gloves to keep on fishing. Incredible selection, nothing locked up behind security glass like we have in Los Angeles County, and did I mention the cute little baby chicks of every variety? They don't travel on the airplane very well, but if I had a piece of land up there, I'd have chickens all over it because of this place. Hands-down, this is the best outfitter store I've ever visited, and that's saying something. We visit Mac once a year for Fishing, and no trip is complete without at least a few stops at North 40. We may not be frequent visitors, but we're customers for life.

They had fresh tropical fruits, cold drinks, kayaks, and other outdoor recreation items that aren't available at my local Super Walmart in Seattle. Some of the larger items would be a little difficult to haul home, but it was great to see such a wide variety of products geared toward the lake lifestyle. Most Walmart stores carry many of the same everyday items, but this location offers some unique products that make it stand out. If you're visiting Lake Chelan and need supplies, sporting goods, snacks, or just want to browse, this Walmart is definitely worth a stop. You'll likely find exactly what you need--and maybe a few things you didn't know you wanted.

There are foods and products that cater to Hispanic tastes in more isles now. The staff is mixed, some are friendly, some are rude. The pharmacy is still great and the store is clean, but now I have to shop in two stores when I used to be able to find everything I needed here. I was also told that I had "opted out of reviews." online... I never did that, what's up Walmart?

I was never a fan of 'dollar stores' until we moved here and started going to the Dollar Tree in…read moreOmak. The employees are AMAZING. I mean, here is this little dollar store, but it's always busy, and yet the employees always ask you how you are, if they can help you find anything, what you've been up to lately if they know you- many will call customers by name if they frequent it- it's the employees which make this store SHINE! They carry a wide assortment of 'everything you need' for a buck each- and the quality is about what you'd expect. We go often because many things are cheaper there than elsewhere, but of the exact same brand, size, and quality. In fact, I buy chips/snacks there because I get the same big-name-brand, but in a size somewhere between 'snack' and 'feed an army'. I don't want either- the smaller bag is worth more than a dollar, and it's nice to get the same brands I like everyday. Some of the better buys are the things you use daily- plastic wrap, leftover food containers, fuzzy socks, writing paper, and all sorts of this-and-that. I have only rarely been disappointed by a product, and they accept a return any time that an item fails to perform as it should- and really, it hasn't happened on more than a couple items- mostly things I might have expected should cost more than a buck. ;) I just have to give this Dollar Tree a shout-out, because they work HARD in that store, and they are the friendliest folks! If you just tell them what you need- they can find something that will help- or tell you where you can get it!

But the one thing that I hate is that there is no Pokémon cards no more and it is not that they are out of stock it is because they have technically deleted them from the store and that makes me upset because Pokémon cards are amazingly the best thing ever!!
