Everything was very clean with prepackaged sanitizes tools! They have curtains between the pedi chairs if you want a little privacy. 12 pedi massage chairs and about the same in the front for manicures. I went today for a dip manicure and had the most amazing experience! My technician Jimmy was very nice, and well experienced. I was visiting from Colorado on vacation and my nails were needing some much needed love. Jimmy removed my current nail dip and then put new dip on. I was so pleased with the outcome!! I left a good review a while back when i assume they were under better management. My experience from LAST WEEK: The girl who did my mani pedi literally pulled and cut all the skin off a fresh blister on my toe with cuticle cutters and then Doused it in acetone. Then laughed at me when I said "hey that really hurts can you please rinse that off?" and pretended she didn't understand what I was saying Also, for my manicure I opted for dip powder manicure. It chipped within the second day I had gotten it done and since I was on holiday with my kids I did not have time to go back and have it fixed. The top coat is completely worn off also? Used the cuticle clippers on my cuticles and cut too much off and made me bleed didn't even clean it up before applying the acrylic so there was blood all in the acrylic then he cut my same thumb open AGAIN by filing too hard on the side of it. I'm a local, and have yet to find a DECENT nail salon. I thought Grand Dunes would be different, but NO. My finger was cut, the process was painful, and incorrect substance was applied. Not to mention, I had to return 3 times in less than a week. I had acrylic with gel on top (my usual ). Gel didn't dry, continued to rip off. When I returned for the fix, the incorrect color was applied. My nails looked like a toddler had a field day, painting. Save your money, don't go. However, nice staff. read more

I wish I didn't have to leave stars. I visit Myrtle Beach every year and wish I had read read the reviews. The woman that did my nails was unfriendly and disinterested in what she was doing and to whom. I was tired after driving 8 1/2 hours and kept falling asleep. She would tap my foot I smiled said I'm sorry and she didn't respond. She put an arcila nail on a toe I had to have my nail removed. I felt bad and gave her a $20 tip she grabbed it not looking at me and walked away. But that evening my "nail" fell off the same evening. I got a standard pedi & mani and paid 105.00! My friends and I came here to get pedicures and off the bat were being pressured about getting gel instead of a regular nail polish. The space was lovely and I liked my results of my pedicure but I didn't really enjoy the fact that we were pressuring something we really didn't want. They cut my finger, didn't have anything the correct length, my pinky is throbbing in pain, and they didn't do the correct shape I asked for. Live local to the salon so decided to give it a try. Let's say I will not go back. I brought my husband and child in to get pedicures. The whole time they kept trying to up sell us on a $70 pedicure. If I wanted to get that I would have asked for it. We did decide to upgrade from more then a regular pedicure after being pressured into it. They DIDNT even do the pedicures we asked for!!! They just did the regular one on my husband when he wanted the one with wax and hot stones. I also asked for that pedicure and they only did the wax!! I picked a color from the color selection on the wall. They told me I couldn't do that color because the polish was old.... My thought was why is it on your shelf then? They handed me color swatches to pick from and tried to convince me that I needed gel. The color I picked they happened to not have regular polish for it...but only had gel. This was a $15 up charge. I said I wIll just pick another color. My pedicure lasted about 25 mins tops. No message... My child kept saying the water was to hot for him to put his feet in and they would not adjust the temperature for him... Will not go back. If you are visiting or live here I suggest going somewhere else to save yourself being uncomfortable the whole time and no getting what you are paying for. read more

This place is an absolute joke. I went here because while on vacation my toenail broke and I just decided to get another pedicure altogether and get one for my boyfriend as well for the first time. Big mistake. I figured okay, reviews aside, it's close to where we are and how bad can it be? We are in the tourist zone, the have higher places, it should be fine... Wrong. Ok. I called 45 minutes ahead to make sure they had room for 3 pedicures they said yes. We get there exactly 45 mins later and after a short wait we are seated. I already did not like the look of the place, very dated, with ancient nail polishes on display, which should be the first sign to go, but I gave them a chance. These people charged $30 for a male pedicure and it looked like nothing was done to his feet and it literally was over within 10 minutes. They charged me $45 for my "lemon" pedicure that was absolute trash and another $5 to fix my nail. They didn't properly file my nails, buff them, nor shape them. These people do not even know how to polish! At bare minimum my nails should not look like a 5 year old painted them. If they do, they should get cleaned up with remover and an angle brush. Nope. Not here. They slap polish on your feet and send you on your way. I spent $80 here to look like a fool walking around and sadly gave my man a bad experience and wasted money. I have been so use to decent updated nail salons for years, that I forgot rinky dink places like this with zero skill were still in business wasting customers time and money. I really should have not paid. But I was in a rush and didn't feel like dealing with the fake "can't understand. Not speaking English when there's an issue" B.S. so I pressed on. Do not go here. They are trash. Big mistake. You know it's bad when everyone around is evaluating there nails and having to ask "can you fix this, or this is crooked, or can to cut this here." After 18 months of complaining about local nail salons, I found a gem! As with most things that are enjoyable - I stumbled into this nail salon. I had been shopping at the local Fresh Market- unlike a true Southern Woman- I hit the grocery in what I have on- and definitely without Make-up. The staff was busy but kept their good pace not rushing others. I have now been 4 times and find the skill level to be excellent. Even after asking them to pay more attention to certain area - they smiled and did nice work. worst pedicure ever. It was super rushed - done in 30min. I can paint my nails better than this woman could. She massaged my legs but then when she applied the hot towels she started hitting my legs. she and her coworkers carried on a conversation in her native language most of the time in the chair. Not relaxing at all. I was with a friend so I didn't wan't hold her up but this polish will be coming off soon and redone properly. A friend had recommended this place but I certainly won't. I've waited 25+ minutes every time I've come.. pedicures are sub par.. and last about 10-15 minutes.. no massage.. just garbage.. I wanted to like this place.. acrylics are decent but my god what a rip off when it comes to price. They prefer to rip off nails that have lifted and charge you for a nail fix rather than take the time to correct and prep for a full instead.. I just can't anymore. **PLEASE READ** workers in this facility reuse gloves and do not sterilize equipment at all. Male doing my nails cut my cuticles very roughly during pedicure which causes me to bleed. He washed the gloves off in the same tub as my feet were soaking in and put them back in the glove box. Not only were the gloves on me used bloody, but the entire box. I watched as workers used same clippers on patron after patron and put them back in the drawers when they were done and just to pull them out again for next person. When manicure was being done, there were holes in the gloves and visible blood on them from someone else. He just turned them inside out and reused them and again put them on the floor when he was done. I watched him put them back on for next person. I am a nurse and this is a way to catch a blood bourne disease such as Hepatitis and HIV. So..do not go here. read more

She did an okay job on my manicure for Fourth of July. She told me she would be charging me an extra $5 for another 3rd color which they only used for one nail!! Also, she never told me before hand their was a $5 take off fee. I wish they could have communicated better. They charged me $46 for only a manicure and I left a $2 tip bc I was uncomfortable not tipping.I also said I wanted a basic pedicure but left without one bc the communication was so bad and she did not understand. Another lady didn't come in at all bc they had told her they had time then went back in their word. We're from Denver and the nail salons are better back home. Her paint job was good but the water was cold and I had to ask for the lotion. I would go else where!! read more
