The Best Coffee Shop Around--Hands Down!…read more We've been coming to Nervous Dog for years, and it's still our absolute favorite coffee shop in the area. There's a reason it was voted Best Coffee in the Beacon Journal's Best of the Best--they truly know what they're doing when it comes to coffee. The quality is unmatched. Whether it's a latte, cold brew, or just a perfectly brewed cup of coffee, every drink is made with care. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality beans, and everything always tastes smooth and rich--never burnt or bitter. Beyond the coffee, the atmosphere is what keeps us coming back. It's warm, inviting, and just the perfect spot to relax, get some work done, or catch up with friends. The baristas are friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Nervous Dog isn't just a coffee shop--it's a staple in the community. We love that they support local businesses and give back to the area. There's something special about a place that not only serves great coffee but also makes you feel like part of the family. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. This is, without a doubt, the best coffee shop around!

I got the iced black and white latte and asked them to add a pump of pumpkin for a little extra flavor. It was okay, but nothing too special. I also tried the iced caramel macchiato, which was pretty good! The bagels were delicious, too. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. My only complaint is that the place could use some dusting, especially around the tables and the areas underneath them where people sit and eat. Overall, a nice spot for coffee and breakfast. I'd be open to coming back and trying something else on the menu!

We were in the Highland Park area during the Akron Marathon, so we decided to take a walk down the sidewalk and we came across Angel Falls Coffee Shop. So we decided to stop in the shop to get a coffee pick me up. I am a huge fan of small mom & pop coffee shops because in my opinion they are more personable with their customers and always have the best atmosphere. One of the first things I noticed was the cute & cozy decor, they had seating, a small bookshelf with books to read while you drank your coffee, and the shop had a lot of cool pictures/memorabilia on the walls. They also offer homemade sandwiches which you can have heated, cookies/pastries, and you can also buy coffee and tea to take home with you. Now for the coffee we tried I had the Spooky Kooky Ice coffee which was a cookie dough flavored, it was good but I couldn't taste the cookie flavor. My wife had the Great Pumpkin, but her coffee didn't taste like it had any sugar in it and it wasn't very good. Lastly my daughter had the Fireside Chat which was coffee and butter rum, hers was the only one that tasted like what was the flavor. I also wanted to say that the owner whose name was Jim was really friendly, funny, and gave top notch customer service. So if you find yourself driving through the Highland Park area of Akron and you need a coffee pick me that will not put a hurting on your wallet, take a stroll into The Angel Falls Coffee Company.

Service was super friendly too! We both got blueberry lemon scones and they were so good...you could see the lemon zest on them and they weren't too sweet at all. Not too sweet and spiced just right...I will absolutely be back for that and to try more menu items. We were even there a few minutes after they closed without realizing and didn't feel rushed at all. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you, Coco Cafe!
