Scarlett Landscape & Design isn't a company--we've decided they're family…read more We met Jeremy Scarlett in 2021 when he turned our blank Santa Barbara backyard into a living postcard: a beautiful string light lined fire-pit, next to a picturesque outdoor dining experience and completed with 4 raised garden beds, and plant selection to great that the neighbors asked for the blueprint. Two years later, a quick front of the house refresh became a master class in precision--same crew, same pride, zero corners cut. Fast-forward to 2025: a different contractor just punched a pool-shaped hole through our paradise. One call to Jeremy and the Scarlett crew showed up like superheroes in sun hats. They surveyed the pool demo and made sure that our paradise will return to its former glory, if not, even better. What sets Scarlett apart? One crew owns your job from demo to final bloom. They know our Frenchie, Madeline by name name, and which succulents sulk in afternoon sun. They treat our soil like it's their own inheritance. Jeremy himself still walks every jobsite, pencil behind ear, asking, "Will this make you smile in five years?" The answer is always yes. If you're tired of landscapers who vanish after the invoice, hire Scarlett. They don't just install beauty--they protect it, perfect it, and hand you the hose with a grin. Five stars aren't enough. We're already saving for the next excuse to call them back. -- David, Alexandra & Madeline The Frenchie, Santa Barbara, CA

Scarlett's Landscaping did a great job on my back patio. Living in a condo, I have a small patio…read morearea that lacked privacy, functionality and character. It had an ugly view of a retaining wall, drainage gutter, and parking lot. It also had a beautiful tree that was leaning and had a fence awkwardly placed around its trunk. When heavy rains, felled this tree and ripped out the fence, it was time to finally address this disastrous area. I met with owner Jeremy and landscape designer Jason to help reimagine my patio. They addressed my concerns and wishlist and came up with a great design. The work crew, led by Ray, was outstanding. Every one of the guys on the crew, Javier,Chris, Dewey, Juan, Andy, Frank and Rolando were professional, courteous and respectful to us, my neighbors, and mindful of the HOA rules. Their work ethic and work product were outstanding. The old cracked concrete was replaced with beautiful pavers and upgraded drainage. A Hoff Solitions privacy screen with class a fire rated Timber-Tech planks was placed in front of the concrete block retaining wall and is fully removable if needed. I have more functional seating with a garden wall that allows for some plantings and doubles as extra seating. My Zen boulder fountain was set in ground with accent lighting. A covered pergola was added to define a nice outdoor seating area. A beautiful and functional barbecue surround was built to create a built-in look for my barbecue cart and the surround also provides privacy from the parking area.Landscaping and irrigation were also added along my fence. Because of the increased functionality of the space, it feels larger. My back patio is so much more enjoyable and charming now and I couldn't be any happier with the final outcome. These pictures really do not do justice to this beautiful space. Scarlett's Landscaping may not be the least expensive, but they provided great communication, work ethic, workmanship, management of details such as all permits and inspections, follow-up post completion, and most of all, peace of mind that my project was in the right hands. I had a great experience working with them and I highly recommend them. Here are some before and after pictures.

The final result elevated the entire area and brought our vision to life. His crew was hardworking, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. We really had no firm ideas of our own regarding how to develop the backyard, but Brandon came out and gave us some really fantastic design options. After consulting with other businesses, we decided to go with Dream Green Landscape. After we explain to Brandon exactly how we would like to use the backyard, he came up with a perfect configuration that combined pebble, concrete, and succulent plants. Brandon sent us all of the potential plants we could use, but we ultimately trusted his creative vision and allowed him full reign to pick whatever he thought would look best. Brandon has an impressive crew that came out and did the work alongside Brandon. They laid irrigation, put in the plants, the ground cover, and the concrete. The final product is amazing. We love our backyard, and with Brandon's efforts, it has been transformed into a wonderful serene environment that we enjoy spending time in. Brandon warranties all plants for 6 months, and when a few plants didn't look particularly healthy, he came out and replaced all four of them no questions asked. I've hired plenty of contractors in my day, but the real test of customer service is how well they treat you after you've parted with your money. Brandon was just as responsive and customer service oriented in replacing these plants as he was in getting our business in the first place. Several of my neighbors who are considering similar projects have viewed and loved the work Brandon did in our backyard. They are currently working with Brandon on their own projects. We've been so pleased we're considering now removing the grass in our front yard and having Brandon put together a design to replace our front grass with drought resistant landscaping. I can't recommend this company enough. Brandon is a true pro and a credit to his craft.

Working with Joseph was seamless--he was extremely organized and communicative throughout the whole process. He's the whole reason we chose Regal instead of the other quotes we got and he really came through on everything we wanted while also giving us his valuable opinion. It was a decent-sized scope: we pulled out a row of old overgrown bougainvillea (stumps, roots and all), demolished a concrete slab by the garage, added a new flagstone pathway and patio, decomposed granite replaced an entire lawn, mulch and decorative pebble in the front yard, a long podocarpus privacy hedge, full drip irrigation conversion with smart timers, and landscape lighting in the front and back. They even installed our new fire pit for us. Joseph walked the property with us, gave real opinions about what would and wouldn't work instead of just saying yes to everything, and stayed reachable by text the whole way through. His invoice was also the most detailed quote we got, which gave us a lot of confidence that the details would be handled when we got through When we changed our minds on a couple of details mid-project, he handled it easily. The crew was punctual, careful around the existing trees and hardscape, and swept up at the end of every day. Fair price, clean work, and genuinely good people to deal with.
