Went in for a full set and pedicure, Thr guy who did my full set did not do them like I asked so I told them to take them off. My pedicure was ok other than the polish is not covering my full toes. So when I went to leave and settle my bill they tried to make me pay for the removal of the full set. I refused and told them I would pay for the pedicure only. The manager was a jerk and demanded I pay the full bill or he would call the police. Needless to say I will never be returning to this salon and if you don't want to be charged for bad service you would too. read more

If the option was to give no stars I would. I went here on Thursday or Friday for a dip on my nails and a pedicure on my feet. The nail tech on my feet filed my toenails extremely too thin one of my toenails have chipped and the polish although was not gel lasted for a day!!! The polish that was used on my toes especially the top coat was very cheap the quality was horrible with the choice of polish they use then everything is air dry for your feet polish to dry!!! I'm so upset I went to them first and last time trying them out! My nails are extremely thin as well and the polish lacks luster it looks dull. My nails and my toes look like something I could have done at my house myself!!! Never going there again!!! read more

Second time at this nail salon and I like my nails but the technician that did my daughters nails tried to rip them off instead of soaking and filing them; as a result she tore a chunk of my daughters natural nail off and ripped the remainder of her nail in half. I'm extremely unhappy about that. She then put my daughters hands in the soaking solution and went and started providing service to another customer. Then the new technician that started on my daughters nails after they soaked off came to me stating her service will be $70...$70. In my head I'm thinking, "do you not see the dismantling that happened to her thumb nail"? I'm not usually an emotional reviewer but this hurts my heart. My desire was to give my technician a 4 star review but I won't put her identity anywhere on this locations review. I advise anyone considering this location to be very assertive about what their expectations are. read more

Grand Nail Bar - The technician tried to tear my daughters acrylic nail off - Nail Salons Near Me - DeSoto, Texas

Kevin, the nail technician at Grand Nail Bar in De Soto, is the most aggressive nail tech I've ever encountered. He will ruin your fingernail beds. Make you bleed and then charge you full price when he's done! He literally cut my skin open in with the fingernail file and then in the same spot he cut it deeper with the same file.... He doesn't handle your nail beds carefully, so it's extremely painful as he's filing... If you try to pull away, or tell him it hurts he smacks your hand and turns it into a joke. On a scale from one to 10, the pain was so intense that I started shaking and sweating. I should have gotten up and walked away, but I needed them complete. I thought for sure this guy is gonna give me a discount for slicing my fingers open but he didn't. Funny enough, right before I got my nails done, I witnessed another female getting her nails done from Kevin . She looked at Kevin and said, 'Hey, I'm a woman. Why do you have to be so aggressive?' This man is not gentle at all, beware. Another last thing, the owner is so shady, not giving the full tips to the nail techs, which I witnessed myself. I'm not sure why he's pocketing half of their tips; it's not cool at all. He's also rude and he randomly overcharges for nail designs, which is ridiculous. One week gets one price and then the next week gets another price for the same design.

Honestly I'm upset with my self because I kept coming here strictly for the connivence, and hoping I'll get someone different that can give me different experience , I have the worst experience almost everytime I come , they are always rushing your service , rushing you to pick a color , they don't like when you come in with creative ideas , their staff attitudes is the worst mainly the older women have attitudes , I've gotten fungus multiple times , the quality of service is ridiculous, my mom came a different time and got fungus , I'm sure they be talking sht in their own language . I can tell based off body language , scenarios, and timing . how are you going to pressure someone to buy the next expensive service after I said no 3x , finally gave in so she can shut up and start my service then she continue to provide horrible service ! so no I didn't tip ! she already got what she wanted from me , she also left the clear top coat off my gel polish , this place need a reality check or need to be inspected , and just because you see 2 black women working in there don't mean anything ! read more

update The manager and I spoke regarding my service. He apologized and redid my nails as I requested. He did a good job love the design!

POOR SERVICE. I've tried this place too many times each time expecting a better outcome but NO the same outcome each time. The price doesn't match the quality of the service. Just don't go here for service, take your money elsewhere. read more

I come back the next day & the manager was too busy getting her nails done to even fix mine like she said she would. The same guy re did them & he messed them up again & was being so rough. He cut me. Afew days later my nails started to lift and my shellac peeled off. This place was the worst place I've ever been to. Went for the first time because I saw a post about a black nail tech I wanted to support. Kryssy! She sounded apprehensive when I called at the lady minute appt but she still took me. She charged me over $30 for a fill and 30 for design! And I only got 2 designs! The same night, polish was coming off my nails. I called to see if could come back on Monday at 12 or 12:30 she agreed. Get there and she's not there. I texted her and she tells me she has an appt and forgot! I'm like ok but I have an appt too. These people don't know what I'm talking about me she's telling me someone is suppose to fix my nail. Another black lady comes to fix it and she has an attitude! Don't say one word while I'm getting my nails fixed! Didn't say hi or anything when she sat down. Her name is Chelle. Will never be back! read more

Grand Nail Bar - My polish come off the next day. - Nail Salons Near Me - DeSoto, Texas

I stopped by this place the day before leaving fomy trip to Mexico. I walked in was greeted. I told the lady the service I wanted she proceeded to clean up and then when her boss came in began fussing that she was going to get to me. (Obviously there was an issue there) I finally get seated in pedi chair. I was getting full set and pedi. Put my in and almost needed new feet. The water was boiling hot. Offered me a drink. I asked for water. They were out. Asked me a 1000 Times did I want a margarita... It's 10 o'clock, I don't drink, and I haven't even had breakfast. Fast forward to rude lady that did my mani. Barked orders at me like I worked there. Snatched things, talked to a friend. And my nails design fell off the next day. 4 of my nails fell off the next week. Pedicure: The lady was inattentive. Had a whole 15 min cell phone conversation. They had to fix one of my toenails, my big toe lost a battle to bed post. So she put the overlay to fix it. It looks awful. I ask for it to be shaped she said it's good. Sent "Ken" over and he filled it twice and said " you like" . I said No Ken I do not like, but I have been here for 3 hours. Don't worry about it. ( I was the first customer in there. Terrible service. Will never go there again. Picture is what's left after two weeks and the design imprint with no design because it fell off on day 2 when I was sitting in a car in California. read more

Regular nail tech out of town that I have went to for years. So stopped in this spa for refill. Happen to be where I meet my tech at years ago. they gave me De'chelle as nail tech for 5 min she tells me that refill isn't what I'm asking for. She was only going to "fill" the bottom part? is this new? then pulling on my hand and putting her hand on her hips! Im a licensed Aesthetician in Texas so I'm in the beauty business. The nastiest and worst attitude I've ever had. So nasty I didnt let her polish. Yes I paid and gave a tip why because she did refill and I know that she only gets a % of the charge. Tip-if you don't want to do a client tell your boss don't take it out on the customer. De'chelle maybe a good nail tech but pulling and mishandling customers is BAD BUSINESS! read more

The only reason I can't give them one star is because the guy that did my nails was kind. Did he do a good job? No. My nails are uneven lengths and densities. He didn't polish them good at all. He burned my finger with the nail board and the drill. My pedicure was rushed and my feet don't feel smooth at all. I had so much hope in this place after first going a few years ago and loving my experience, but something has changed and I would not recommend. read more

NEVER EVER GO TO THIS NAIL SHOP!!! If I could 0 stars I would!!!! I spent 55$ to get a fungus on my nail within 7 days!!! As seen in the picture the pink "ombré" nails were the first set I got which were HIDEOUS. I came back and took them off the same day and got a new set. The picture seen with the fungus is what I left with! Still HIDEOUS. The last picture is today after getting them taken off!! Nails were partially taken off with piss poor effort. Discount Prices, Discount Service!!!! The service here is so bad, that I am sitting in here writing it. Apparently, M-W they offer 20% off. First glance, this place looks nice and upscale. I take a seat at the pedicure chair and it smells like sewer. I tell the lady and she acknowledges the smell but proceeds to work. After saying it again she moves me. I start receiving my pedi and towards the end I realized she put nothing in the water. No sea salt, scrub or whatever they use. So I mention it and she throws enough in there to turn the color blue. Bout 3 min later she rinses my feet off and she's done. All the while, this angry man is jerking my nails trying to get me to upgrade to gel. I keep telling him no thx. So while sitting there I see everyone has drinks. So I ask the guy for wine. He comes back with the check and ask if I wanted him to go in my purse to get my card. I tell him, what I want him to do is get me some wine. Needless to say, I never received it. They overall did a great job, so I did tip. But I am not happy with the customer service. I don't think I'll ever be back. read more

Worst 200 spent!!! I took my daughter here for her first time and she wanted short and a bright gel color. They literally look like a block and i can see through the color!! Gave Nail tech a picture of how I wanted my nails. She left part of my nail bed showing on most of my nails. Not sure if she was in training or nervous but I tried communicating that it wasn't correct. She stared at me with a look of confusion about what I was saying. She finished and I paid in an effort not to cause a scene. I got to my car and decided to "I shouldn't accept dissatisfaction especially after paying $102.00" I returned and spoke to the manager who said, "You should have said something before leaving out" I explained that I had but she didn't seem to understand. He said they could fix it but I'd have to pay and the repaired nails possibly would not match the others. Either way, I was disappointed and displeased and he made it clear that customer satisfaction was not his priority. He was there for the money and nothing else. read more

If you're ready to spend an hour waiting only to have nail technicians rush your pedi/mani this is the place. I paid more for their nail packages and got shorted. Even when I complained they still wanted me to pay full price. Enough is enough I will not be coming back to this shit show. If I could give them no star I would! I went there a week and a half ago and my nails are falling apart! The guy who did my nails did a rush job, he was done so fast, it made my head spin. At first I appreciated the quickness but he was piss poor. He rushed me picking a color...this was my first time going to the salon since covid started and I was overwhelmed with the colors, I wanted each one. Lol...I told him I had a toddler at home so my nails could be super long, he insisted that they would get shorter as he filed them down. They are so long right now and I got charged extra for a length I didn't even ask for. This place used to be awesome when they first open, and now they have gone completely to shit.
