I accidentally locked myself out of the safe. We called the front desk, but they stated that they wouldn't be available until 9 the following morning. Unfortunately our tour bus was to leave before then. About an hour later, our travel guide calls. Apparently the front desk told her that they would help me by 6 in the morning. I know I heard 9, but I just went along with it - I just wanted the safe open. That morning, I go to the front desk for help. A staff person comes up to the room and looks at the safe. He tells me to wait 10-14 minutes. 20-30 minutes go by and I go back to the front desk. I see the same staff person, but he's busy doing something else. My sister asks if he can help, but he points to the front desk. Mind you, our bus is getting ready to leave. The front desk tells me that they will send someone. Another 15 minutes go by and I think a manager with a key unlocks the safe. Hallelujah! Don't use the safes to be safe! Be persistent as the Romans were!

The staff were wonderful with helpful suggestions from the front desk to the amazing breakfast buffet staff that always gave us a very warm "buongiorno" when we came in. After a few days the server didn't need to ask anymore he just brought me a cappuccino when I sat down. That is probably the biggest breakfast buffets I have ever seen. The two pictures don't fully capture it all. I really liked this hotel and would be back if I am ever in Rome again.

Having stayed in a 4 Seasons I would say the service we received at the RT was on par. They also had a breakfast buffet for $25 or 20 euros that was excellent eggs, bacon pastries, fresh fruit, and so much more. I love getting freshly made Americanos or expresses on demand. The room was comfortable with refrigerator, kureg style cfee maker, ironing board and iron, safe etc all toiletries were provided. The bed was firm and the pillows soft. The breakfast is a little confusing, as you can pay in advance for the buffet, or pay the day of, or you can order off the menu. It wasnt all clear at first how that worked. The whole hotel is really nice and clean, very well decorated, and I also enjoyed the nice covered patio for the smokers.

Colosseum is literally a 10-15 min walk. We only had to take the metro to the Vatican because it's further away. Also a 5 min drive in taxi to the train station. From there you can go to the airport or pretty much anywhere else! This hotel was great. Comfortable, nice people and an awesome breakfast to get you ready for the morning. Oh... And Internet worked just fine too! The only very minor issue was some people outside singing Italian songs (like karaoke maybe?) into the night... Maybe up until 11pm-midnight. We weren't bothered by it because we were up a little late (jet lag). But I can see how that may bother some. Anyway! Would come back to this same hotel if I were going back to Rome!

Hotel was located in what seemed to be a mostly residential area so it was very quiet. It was just a short walk from the Roma S. It is obvious upon arrival that whomever owns it has taken great care and consideration into updating and modernizing the entire place with beautiful decor (something I looked for when booking a hotel in Rome, which is hard to find at under 100€/night). Our room was beautiful and spacious, as was our bathroom. Breakfast was included on the 4th floor terrace (terrace is open until 9:30pm for guests to lounge), which had assorted meats, cheeses, pastries, yogurts, fruit, and a wonderful Nespresso machine. If you're looking to spend some time at the Vatican, this is the perfect place to stay. Yes, it's convenient to the station, but then you're in one of the seedier areas of Rome and far enough from the tourist areas that you pretty much have to take the metro or a taxi. On the other hand, the hotel is quite nice, especially the public areas like the lobby, sitting room, restaurant, and rooftop garden. Then somewhere in between are the rooms, if you can find yours because the guest floors are like a rat maze. Mine was very small, hardly enough room to lay the suitcase down and still be able to walk around. As with most Italian hotels, the thermostat is for show so I had to have the window open all night to keep the room cool. The bathroom was a decent size, though from what I gather, none of them have actual locks on them. The cleaning people did a terrific job of straightening up and organizing my stuff. And, notably, the hotel was fairly noisy, which I suspect is from a combination of thin walls and a younger clientele. On the bright side, if it weren't for the doors slamming early in the morning, I would've overslept after mis-setting my alarm and been seriously late.
