Dinner was also excellent while enjoying such a lovely view of Positano to accompany the excellent food and service. The common areas of the hotel are inviting and spacious and the pool area is wonderful with a bar and bar menu perfect for lunch while taking in the view. There are several other inviting restaurants and shops close by as well that we enjoyed during our week long stay. The hotel staff was very helpful and informed when we contacted them prior to coming with our COVID concerns. We were somewhat reluctant to resume travel during this time - but the staff made us feel very comfortable with reasonable precautions. We are so glad we decided to travel to the Poseidon!

Of note, in Italy, cocktails are just basic mixed drinks but they were still well made and tasted delicious so that's what matters. They also had an extensive cocktail list which was nice as most of the Amalfi Coast doesn't have an extensive cocktail list. The view here is gorgeous. It is a really nice romantic place or also just a place to watch the sky change colors as the sun goes down. It's a phenomenal view.

The immaculate cleanliness of the room and coupled with the architecture is just enough not too much and each time we leave the property we are super happy just to return again to kick off our shoes and relax inside our quarters. I drove in down a long pathway and was able to park in close proximity to the entrance. The security guard notified the front desk so they greeted my outside. The porter took my bags inside. I had arrived before check-in time so I had some time to explore the property before seeing my room. The garden area outside is very nice! I was told that the hotel would be closing for winter in a few days time and that is was slow. Since they did not have high occupancy, they upgraded me for free from a garden view to an ocean view. After 30 minutes or so the room was ready and I was escorted to see the room. It was quite impressive as there was the room itself but had a "sitting room" next it is so it was basically a suite. There was a door to the balcony that had a table for two and an ocean view. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and a Panettone loaf. The room was nice an had everything except for a coffee maker. There was no hot water pitcher either. The bathroom had a toilet where the seat was not aligned to the toilet which is scary for a man as a pinched ball sack would not be good. This property is right next to Piazza Tasso which is the main square and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a bar onsite as well as a Michelin starred restaurant called Terrazza Bosquet. The restaurant was good and the staff were amazing, front desk, concierge, bell staff and restaurant staff. Customer Service is a big priority here. A few small tweaks needed but was a five star experience!

We were able to call 24 hours ahead and get a spot the next night but when we arrived there were people trying to walk in without a reservation and there wasn't room that night.

How fitting it was when I got to stay here for a few days during my cousin's writer's workshop back…read morein March. I love how they continue to support writers. This was the workshop's 15th year. John Steinbeck once stayed here and wrote, "Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone." It really is a breathtaking, magical city that I was fortunate to visit. What makes it even more amazing is that it is owned by the Sersale family from Naples who have opened up their summer vacation home and turned it into a lovely hotel in 1951. They had purchased the adjacent building next door to expand. This hotel was also once a US Army rest resort. It is still a family operated hotel with some staff. Antonio, the co-owner and general manager was at the writer's workshop dinner, and his wife Carla does the gardening throughout and designs for the Emporio Sirenuse boutique store across the street. Famous celebrities like Reese Witherspoon and Kylie Jenner have also stayed here. The rooms are a good size. We had a marble bathroom with huge bathtub and a small patio seating that had wooden lattice windows that opened to the pool/terrace overlooking the beach. I'm shocked about a Dyson hair dryer in its own box. The turn down service was so great. They laid out my sleep clothes, a small towel on the floor near the bed, slippers, a Baci chocolate (my fave), bottled water, turned down the lights and put music on the TV, and gave a card with the weather report for the next day. It was helpful! Positano was chilly and sometimes rainy mid March. Antonio, not the co-owner though same first name, was at the front and greeted us when we transferred from our AirBNB. He was the sweetest and helpful when I inquired about a tour to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. Even when I left before the writer's workshop ended, he said I should stay. I really wished I could! I had already taken 3 days post spring break from work since I had been to Germany and was headed to London before going home. The spa was open to the writers and their +1s. After hiking Mt. Vesuvius, I got to sit and relax my muscles in the sauna, ice room, and did 2 dips in the cold plunge pool. The snacks and tea were great. I loved that there was a shower with Aveda products. The gym was also on the same floor. La Sponda restaurant at the hotel terrace area is a Michelin star. They're usually open for dinner, but they were closed because it was still considered winter and not open until the end of March or beginning April during peak season. We were fortunate to enjoy a cocktail hour prior to dinner at La Sponda specifically for the writer's workshop. They also served a buffet breakfast plus a la carte entrees for 2 days. I missed one day since I had my tour of Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius in Naples and left early am before breakfast. I did take advantage the second day! Btw, you can also order in room service. I loved everything at Le Sirenuse from all the plants and flowers to the detailed decor, epic views, delicious food and friendly staff. This was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget.

Everything was a fairytail and wouldnt have been possible without Anna. First, the hotel itself. We had several rooms booked by several guests and every single room has an amazing view. Some rooms were more upgraded then others and the prices reflected it - though all prices were beyond reasonable. Trust me even the rooms that werent upgraded were clean & guests enjoyed the discounted price. All rooms were larger than typical European rooms. More comparable to the size of hotel rooms in the US. The rooms are clean and depending on the room, balconies large and are amazing places to sit and enjoy the morning coffee. The staff was amazing. Like every single person at the hotel went above and beyond on anytging and everything we needed. Angelica helped us with so many things from getting my dress steamed to ferry and bus schedules. This truely made the trip an enjoyable experience. Maiori itself is the perfect place on the Amalfi Coast to stay. Its close enough to all the towns to adventure to, has the largest beach and just seemed to have more authentic restaurants, stores and places where Italians actually lived. I cant wait to go back!

We stayed at the residence and had NO access to the pool. NO room service. NO cleaning service. We also had to pay for toilet paper and fresh sheets (crazy concept). This hotel is all around CHEAP and has awful service. Their website says everything amenity wise is included but thats a HUGE LIE or poor translation. Lastly, rooms were uncomfortable and sheets were itchy. Wish I could give it 0 stars. We checked out 5 days early and booked it as fast as we could to a different hotel. 0 reimbursement, but we could not care less.
