A great boutique hotel in the perfect central location. Literally across the street from the beach, shopping, restaurants, the bus stop and the ferry dock. That said, it was surprisingly quiet in the rooms. We never were bothered by noise.
The rooms are what you would expect in a European hotel. Smallish, but perfectly functional and comfortable. Water pressure was great, rooms were bright, and many had balconies (we had two rooms, both with balconies). The staff was very friendly and helpful, and when they couldn't answer a question (ie: about the bus schedule) they referred us to the shop next door who sold bus tickets and had the schedule.
The only odd thing to us was we had to turn in our keys when leaving the hotel. They said it was the way they kept track of who was in and out of the building for security reasons. It is an older hotel with no computerized key system so I guess that makes sense. It was never a problem, and in some ways it was nice not to have to keep track of a key!
All in all, I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amalfi. read more
