He was a pleasure to talk with and had a lot of great recommendations for other activities at Downwind Sails as well as other Myrtle Beach locations. We decided to parasail on day two. Not to mention, you get a free banana boat ride to and from the Parasail boat. Will definitely be back for more.

We arrived at around 1:45pm hoping to be able to book for a 2pm slot and thankfully, they were super accommodating. Once we signed our waivers, we paid the parasailing fee ($98pp after tax) and the additional photo fee which was $30. After we dropped off all of our belongings at the Reservation Area, we were directed to the beach to grab our life vests. With it being Mid June, the sand was very hot but once we got to the water, we were fine. What we were unaware of was the banana boat that we had to take to get to the parasailing boat. It was definitely a pleasant surprise but a fun experience nonetheless. Once we arrived to the parasailing boat, the guys were extremely helpful and informative. They hooked us up to the harnesses and gave us a quick rundown of the rules. Parasailing was, by far, one of the most breathtaking and invigorating experiences I've ever had! I absolutely loved it and it was quite peaceful. Unfortunately, my friend did get queasy after a while so we had to cut our ride a bit short but the guys were very nice and made sure to give my friend some water until the other couple finished their ride. The rides lasted maybe 8-10 mins. If you're planning to visit Myrtle Beach or even live in the area, definitely check out Downwind Sails Watersports. There are height and weight restrictions so definitely check out their site for all the details but the staff were wonderful and the parasailing was amazing!

The staff proved to be considerate, professional, and cordial even in the face of some customers who did not extend the same courtesy. One of the scheduled parties was running late. The staff called the party several times to give them grace and the opportunity to make the tour. That was above and beyond expectations and quite courteous, especially considering the policy outlined in the booking verification email. That party was able to participate because of that kindness. Once the tour got going, my spouse and I fell a bit behind. Yet, one staff member waited and led the way without complaint. She checked in with us and also recognized quickly when we later lost a hat (we were able to retrieve it, fortunately). She circled back to get us. At one point, a customer got stuck in some trees. The two staff members coordinated with one another to help the stuck individual and still attend to the rest of the group. The staff also had to contend with folks repeatedly ignoring safety protocol, yet kept their cool in the face of these circumstances. Our trip was great in spite of the hiccups caused by other parties, and the staff get full credit for making this tour as awesome as it was! Thank you for a memorable, fun, and unique experience! I highly recommend this tour and company!

We came on a day when we thought the weather at the beach was going to be less than ideal - lucky for us, the Zipline tours operate rain or shine. We ended up having great weather for it too! It was super easy to book. Once we got there, they got us kitted out, then we went through a quick (yet thorough) instruction on how to safely zipline. It was a group of 5 of us plus our guides. The tour took about 2 - 2.5 hours, and you get to go on 10 different ziplines. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Especially if the weather is going to be less than ideal and you need some way to kill time. Our tour guides, Chase, Miles, and Zach, were great! Thanks y'all!

The representative I spoke with told me they were running an end-of-season special for $79 per person. I specifically understood that price to apply throughout the day, regardless of the time we selected. On August 25, I called back ready to lock in our seats. The representative initially acknowledged the $79 per-person price and then asked what time I wanted. When I said around 12 or 1 PM, she suddenly told me the afternoon price was $89 per person. So I switched and asked for a morning time instead. Somehow, that was $89 per person too. That was enough for me to walk away from the reservation. When a customer calls one day, receives a specific advertised/special price, and calls back the very next day ready to book, the pricing shouldn't suddenly change depending on which representative answers the phone. Whether this was poor communication between employees or misleading pricing, it left a very bad impression. Be careful, confirm the total price before giving any payment information, and get the quoted price in writing if possible. I won't be booking with them. Good luck.

We saw ospreys, gators, lots of cool trees, old rice fields, gators, and gators. Check out the map that Mike N posted to see where the tour went. It would definitely be dependent on where the tide is because water levels change drastically back there. This was a really cool tour and I'm really glad that we got the chance to do it!

The boat isn't very big but there is a middle BAR area where you can put ice and drinks with 8-10 "stools" surrounding it. Apparently you can "paddle" the boat yourself but our group was more interested in drinking. There is also a seating area the front of the boat where up to four people can sit. Captain John was FANTASTIC! He caught our vibe really quick and turned on some fun lights and DJ'd our party all the way from the docks, to the sound, all the way to the ocean (where we promptly turned around to come back!)
