I ordered the Cantonese Special Chow Mein (crispy noodles) and the portion was so generous. It was full of bok choy, barbecue pork, chicken, and shrimp. I still couldn't believe the amount of food I got for $11.60, which is several dollars cheaper than other places for the same dish. Their menu is extensive and the food is ready quickly and is piping hot. I will most definitely be back to try out their other dishes. Note: they only do takeout or delivery, no dine in

The interior was nice and modern. Comfy chairs, sleek tables and I got to choose a bigger table with a lazy Susan in the middle. A couple of staff members were quick to help us with teas or anything else we needed. We chose the Yang Chow Fried Rice which came in a very unique pyramid configuration. We also ordered eggplant, har gow, sui mai and BBQ pork buns. All were pretty standard, with my only disappointment being the BBQ pork buns. I'm not sure what happened with the steamer or the steaming process, but 2/3 buns in the bamboo container came out looking good and fluffy, but the third came out looking and feeling quite soggy. Good solid choice for Dim Sum if you are in South Surrey. I'd be interested in trying their dinner dishes in the near future.

Which means not the friendliest or best, but that is usually the sign of a great restaurant. We had to ask for the dim sum menu, which isn't extensive but has all the staples. Siu Mai, har gow, char siu bao. The food was decent and we did order one other dish off the regular menu, which was a veggie dish, but they said they could only make Chinese broccoli for lunch. Honestly, there are other restaurants in this strip mall plaza that I'd try before going back, but in a pinch it isn't terrible.

The prices are OK and the portions are decent. We have never eaten in, so can't comment on ambience other than the place looks clean. With respect to individual dishes, everyone liked the ginger beef and the fiery green beans. They tend to use a lot of sauce, so getting some white rice to soak up the sauces is a good idea.

The staff was very nice. You can see the inside of the kitchen from the waiting area and it's a very young team in the kitchen, which you don't often see in restaurants. You don't get fortune cookies. The portions are on the smaller side for everything. I'm the most impressed with the lemon chicken and chicken balls. The fried crust on both of them is light and crispy. I found the beef and broccoli to be lacking in flavour. The other courses that we ordered were alright and inoffensive. I must say the chicken chow mein is very underwhelming. Not only was it dry and bland, but it also hardly had any chicken bits. For the price and taste, I wouldn't really recommend this restaurant.

It turns out it used to be Hons before they changed names but likely retained the same staff. A couple parking spots behind the building, otherwise pay parking on the street. Between the 3 of us we ordered 7 dishes - deep fried bbq bun, shrimp dumpling, pork shu mai, deep fried squid, pan fried soy sauce rice rolls, mini chinese sausage buns, and deep fried salted dumplings with pork filling. I was hoping to order my favourite wu gok (deep fried taro puff) but they don't offer it here. The deep fried bbq bun was definitely unique as I have never seen it anywhere else. The mini chinese sausage buns were dry on the outside and I felt it was missing some kind of sauce to make it more cohesive. Han Lin was quite busy from opening (we arrived at 11am) until we left around 12:30pm - filled with mostly caucasian customers who were greeted like regulars. This spot was clearly popular with the locals! I wonder if some of their dishes were created with their taste buds in mind - ie. the deep fried bbq bun. I was a bit thirsty for the rest of the afternoon, not sure if it's indicative of MSG. Overall, I think this spot is just ok but if I'm craving dimsum I'll look elsewhere for more authentic options. They are missing the usual Cantonese dimsums like rice rolls, wu gok, tofu skin rolls etc. However, I'd definitely say that prices are very reasonable and it came to about $25 per person for us.

Safe to say we will not be returning. We unfortunately are throwing 80% of this food away. Inedible. Shanghai noodles were overcooked and had zero flavour. Ginger beef had very soggy breading. Pineapple beef was so effing revolting. The grey meat was brutal with a weird taste. Not like beef. The sauce in this dish is very bad tasting as well. At forst we were upset when we removed the lid to see there is barely any meat and we paid $20 for some pineapple and onion chunks. Once we tasted the meat, we no longer cared there wasn't much inthe dish. So gross. Chili wontons had zero spice, tasted sour compared to last time. Just a huge disappointment all around. What a waste of money.
