Steak Camaron

This place has mixed reviews but I normally like it! The chips and salsa are solid. I also liked the cheese quesadilla in the past. This trip I ordered the birria quesadilla and unfortunately the meat was dry. I got the surf and turf with the shrimp plate and steak. The shrimp and the sides were tasty but my steak was super over cooked. Not enjoyable at all. My family got the chimichangas, a burrito, and the chorizo cooked in the big rock bowl, I can't remember the name. They all enjoyed their meals. They also brought us churros for a bday for free which was nice. They have a raspberry filling. Not my jam but my father in lAw loved them.

Very colorful. Would not return. Came with a friend for Mexican food, so this review is both pescatarian and non-pescatarian friendly. Service: quick and friendly. Nothing over the top. Pleasant. Food: so I ordered my go to safe choice, shrimp fajitas. Came out sizzling hot, as they should. Shrimp and peppers were not over cooked. Solid. It went downhill from there. I wish they had fresh tortillas but they were warm so that's good. The rice, and refried beans had little to no flavor. They have the smallest dab of Guac on the side. It was nothing enticing. Portion size was solid but I've had better fajitas for the price. My friend had this sizzling meat dish with shrimp, chorizo, and some other meat. He liked it but shared the same complaints regarding the accompaniments. Over all it got the job done but would not recommend for a second visit.

When you walk up there is an electronic board outside that tells you when and what days the specials are on. When I visited the special was Friday and Saturday starting at 9pm, 50% Margaritas. Unfortunately, I was very early, we stopped for early cocktails, so we paid $11 for the JUMBO Margarita, was delicious! They have many flavors to choose from. I loved the Salsa, it's salty enough for me and I wanted to buy some to take home! I ordered an Enchilada, I thought she said chicken, but I believe it was beef. I really don't know, but the tortilla, and sauce was good, the inside was just okay. My friend got Tacos and it was okay. This was only my second time here in the last 5 years, so I need to go back to try more. The bar area looked like a Winner! The next time I go, I will be at the bar and will try a couple of appetizers. Although I was. Not overwhelmed by the flavors of my Entrée , the service was great, they were very attentive, especially ANTONIO! The decor is beautifully festive, and it seems like a fun place to meet friends and have some fun! Parking is right in the front of the Restaraunt, located in a well traveled area, very close to major grocery stores Home Depot, Staples, Meijer's, just a good area to stop, eat and do errands in.

Beef tostada

Eh. Just okay, but to be fair some friends and I got DoorDash from them tonight and it had to survive a 15-minute car ride. I ordered the beef tostada, a chicken taco, and a beef taco. I asked for no lettuce with the beef taco and they included lettuce. The beef taco didn't have much flavor at all, but my friends have ordered from them before and said usually it tastes better. Tostadas are supposed to be hard and the tortilla was floppy, but I'm going to blame it on the car ride. The best things we ordered were my chicken taco, which was very flavorful, and the free salsa and tortilla chips they included - I ended up using the tortilla chips to scoop up the meat from the tostada. I'd try them again but definitely wouldn't rush to do so.

This place is low on my list but everywhere else was closed so I was forced to try this place and it's for sure a one time thing. First things first they got my order completely wrong. Like literally half the things I ordered were no where to be found. The food itself is basic at best and has no distinct flavor or taste. It's a step above Taco Bell. The people that work here are perfectly cool. I'm too busy to make a trip back to the store so I tried what they gave me a burrito, chicken tacos and an enchilada (which I've never ordered before in my life). The food is basic and the only thing I can say is it'll do in a pinch but not my place at all. One positive is u get chips and salsa apparently but the prices for what you get are just out of wack imho.

You can't miss this place - lots of bright led lights in the windows. Stopped by with the kids and had a wonderful lunch. Service was friendly and quick. The food was hot and tasted great. The food is on the low spicy side - so ask for extra spicy if you like more heat. We didn't get any of the deserts, but they looked amazing. We will be back for certain.

Such cute decor!

When I walked into Grand Azteca, I was excited because the decor was so cute and inviting, and the reviews were so positive. Unfortunately, my expectations were too high. The chips and salsa were really good. I particularly liked the white sauce they served. The prices were reasonable, but the food was WAAAYYYY too salty. I got the lunch special #5, which was a burrito and a taco served with rice. It tasted like they dumped the salt shaker in it. I was also excited when I saw fried ice cream on the menu, so I indulged in that. Disappointingly, it was not fried ice cream at all. Rather, it was a ball of vanilla ice cream served in a greasy taco-like bowl with a mound of aerosol whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate sauce and confetti sprinkles on it. It looked pretty, but it was NOT truly fried ice cream, which, traditionally, is a ball of ice cream rolled in a dough, fried quickly & then rolled in cinnamon & sugar, with chocolate sauce & a bit of whipped cream on top. With Alchile in the same plaza and other Mexican restaurants nearby, I'm not sure that another visit is on the horizon.

From the doubled up corn tortillas, to the tender well cooked meat, cilantro and their wonderful sautéed onions these Street style Taco's are as authentic as anything you would get in Mexico. The gratis house chips and Salsa were equally tasty and a nice complement to the Taco's all being washed down with a sugar cane based Mexican coke. The total bill came in at a very reasonable cost of $12 which is a great value in today's economy and a great deal by any standard. Relative to staff and facility, this appears to be a small family run business where the restaurant itself is located in a small strip mall at the corner of Franklin and Square Lake Rd with an equally small footprint for the restaurant. This is a very unpretentious business (think hole in a wall but in a nice way) with a limited number of dining tables and small staff. Having said that, I had no problem in getting seated and getting my order taken and food brought out in fairly quick order! I have been on a kick for a while now trying to find the best taco joint in the the northern Oakland county area and have to say this is as good as I have come across up to now and am a big fan of this business. If you are into well made authentic Mexican street taco's than this is a must visit for you. This was my first visit here and definately will not be my last where I will be combining this dining venue with my regular Bloomfield Hills Costco trips which is a Quarter mile from the restaurant.

They had music playing in Spanish, which I loved. They brought out homemade chips and salsa that was absolutely delicious. We ordered the chicken fajitas and the chicken flautas for dinner. After about 15 minutes, we got the sizzling plates. The food was so good! The rice was cooked to perfection, the beans were seasoned well and topped with cheese, all the toppings were cut up in a way to eat them easily. Overall, everything was fresh and tasty. It's our new favorite Mexican food spot. We can't wait to go back!

I've been here three times and it has always been good, especially the salsa, but the food preparation times are slow. I was browsing their menu online earlier and their burritos looked really good, which ultimately sealed the deal. I started with a small order of chips and salsa and ordered a loaded burrito with al pastor. The chips were perfectly crispy, and the salsa had a great flavor--fresh with just the right balance. While I was waiting for my burrito (around 1:15 PM, just past the lunch rush), I noticed a steady stream of customers coming in for takeout along with multiple DoorDash pickups. That alone told me this place is doing something right. When my burrito was ready, I was pleasantly surprised that they actually brought it out to me. The burrito itself was a great size, packed with flavor, and incredibly filling. I left feeling completely satisfied. I've seen people mention that the dining room is limited, and while it is on the smaller side, there's still plenty of seating for dine-in. The vibe is really cool, the place is clean, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. Overall, Taco Bros absolutely lived up to the hype. I'll definitely be coming back here again for lunch.
