That said, I do appreciate Kevin, one of the owners, for reaching out personally, taking accountability, apologizing, and ultimately making things right. While the situation was stressful, his response and effort to resolve it did make a difference.

Three-hour wait, constant false ETAs, and a rude driver (dispatched through Geico)…read more I would not use Superior Towing. We were dispatched through Geico roadside assistance on a Thursday night in the Chicago suburbs. It was raining, but not storming. The tow took 3 hours to arrive, and the updates we got were unreliable: 30 minutes, then an hour and a half, then 45 minutes, and an hour, then 15 minutes, and finally a call saying he'd be there in 10 minutes. It was a full three hours of being told the wrong thing. I completely understand that wait times are NOT the drivers fault. That is dispatch, time, who is available and when. 3 hours was not the towers fault at all plus traffic is always a factor! When the driver finally showed up, my husband handed over the keys so the car could be put in neutral. I didn't know that the keys were passed over for contex. As he started chaining the car, it looked rough and jerky, so I rolled down my window and politely asked, "Would you like us to put it in neutral for you?" He cut me off mid-sentence and snapped, "Ma'am, I've been doing this for 10 years," and said something about being "snappy" and doing his job. His hands were up in the air and his body language read as very frustrated and pissed off. After waiting three hours in the rain, being talked down to for offering help was insulting. He then pulled out the keys I didn't know he had and put the car in neutral himself, which made the whole exchange feel even more pointless and left me feeling terrible. In the end, the car got towed to where we requested. Long wait, no reliable communication, and an unprofessional attitude when we tried to be helpful. This left our night feeling off and hard to shake. Go with another service. 1 star 0 if possible

Service was great…read more The guys who work there are super nice and understanding. Their lot is super secure with barbed wire all over the place, 3 locks on the gate, and no look plates around the whole area so nobody can look in. Highly recommend.

I wish i could give more than 5 stars…read more I was unfortunately, in a terrible crash in the middle of the night. The co-owner from the company was at the site within seconds. He made sure myself ,my fiancé and my children were okay. Then I had so many questions but no idea where to start. He reassured me i was not at fault, the person who hit me was at fault. He then walked me through the process of what is going to happen while I was waiting on the ambulance to take myself and my kids to the ER. The following day, I called to get more information and he gave me so much information about Insurance that I had no idea about and I very much appreciated it. I will be keeping this company in mind for any future issues that I may run into. (I hope I don't have to, though)

Fonzos was the only one up to the challenge. They arrived on time, and when each solution did not work (due to mechanical issues, condo association rules, etc.) they stuck it out and tried different methods, spending hours, until they were finally able to push the vehicle on dollies and winch it up a ramp and out of the garage, where it could be loaded onto their tow truck. Superb service. When they say they will get your car for you, they mean it. They won't stop until the job is done.

If it were possible that I could give Chicago Towing 10 stars, I would. You simply don't find this…read morecaliber of service in Chicago--anywhere. My car has sat idle in my building's parking garage, collecting dust since before the pandemic began--meaning since 2018. In those six years, I've been vainly searching for one towing company in the city that appeared even remotely like they wanted my business. The experience has ranged from abrasive phone dispatchers who obviously hated their jobs, to not having drivers or trucks available, being too busy or not having certain tools on their trucks (i.e. air compressors), to not answering the phone at all or wanting to charge your credit card in advance of showing up. Chicago towing is the exception, and they are exceptional. This was the absolute best, most professional and most pleasing experience with a tow company ever--especially if you get a chance to work with Robert (do yourself a favor and ask for him by name). After General Motors was unable to repair whatever was wrong with my General Motors engine a few years back -- and charged me over $500 for it -- I phoned Chicago Towing this week to see if I could just get my car started to get some servicing before this winter sets in. They called me to confirm, texted me to confirm, then the driver Robert texted me to confirm again and provided his precise ETA. He showed up on time, knew exactly what he was talking about and had my vehicle running in less than five minutes. He also gave me about another ten minutes of good, knowledgeable, no-nonsense advice and counsel about my car, the payment process was seamless and he even made sure I was parked straight before leaving. These guys actually deserve to have Chicago be a part of their name. World-class service in a world-class city; extremely rare in the towing business. You can rest assured I'm never calling anyone else.

Well, it's 2019 now. I phoned this same tow company today, June 1st, for the same service as before…read more(see my glowing 2016 review). My car is the same vehicle, parked in the same space and in the same residential parking garage from where they helped me successfully three years ago. Now however, GNG flatly refuses me service. The guy who answered the phone said that he "damaged his truck last time," which he absolutely did not. Also, he said that "you're on the top floor aren't you?" trying vainly to remember the job, which I am not. I'm on a lower level, one story down from street level. I would think that in three years, GNG only would have gotten three years better and more efficient than they already were. Instead, however, it appears that in that short span of time, they've gotten worse at what it is they claim they do with such expertise. Negative and condescending on the phone, the guy sounds like he hates what he does for a living--or perhaps he was just having a bad day. I phoned them with the same result over a month ago, thus why I felt it was probably time to alert consumers. I suppose there's just that much towing in Chicago, that one can cavalierly decline business and revenue on any given Saturday.

Had a great experience with this company…read more I have roadside assistance through my cell phone company and this was the company I got paired with. I've had multiple situations with towing, jumpstarts, busted tires, etc. because apparently my car is a POS (bless her engine). But, none of my experiences are stand out--except for this one, thanks to Manny. Manny communicated consistently about his ETA/ timeline for completing other calls before me. So, I wasn't sitting around waiting outside, and he wasn't sitting around waiting for me either. Once he was able to give an accurate ETA, he showed up exactly when he said he would--literally to the minute. He was also extremely knowledgeable about best practices when having to get your car towed. He warned me about all the towing scams that take place around Chicago and how to avoid them. I had no idea there were so many ways for tow companies to milk money. If you take a look at the reviews for other tow companies, it becomes increasingly apparent how common these scams are. The fact that he was so transparent about red flags for other towing companies makes it clear that GNG does none of that. Everything was streamlined with GNG--you pay with a card and your information is all in the system, so you know they don't do any of the shady money-pocketing scams. The price was great too. After my phone company paid their share, I paid $28 out of pocket, which shows that the initial price must have been very reasonable, because in the past my OOPs have been 2X-3X that. If I have any future car issues (which I definitely will... I mentioned my car is a POS, right?), I'm coming back to GNG. And though I'm sure everyone here is awesome, I'll ask for Manny.
