[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a beautiful venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recently attended a Candlelight Concert here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a bar when you walk in. Not sure if it was only open because there was an event happening or if it's generally a bar you can go whenever but it was packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We headed upstairs to event in the theatre and there was another bar. Lines were long but staff did the best to keep things moving. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating was a bit tight and since most of the seating is on the main level, if someone tall sits in front of you, makes it hard to see the stage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But we were there for the music, and I love smaller venues for music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm planning on attending another event here soon so I'm excited to see how they decorate.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cool venue! We attended for a live music performance, and I was sooo excited to see the space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a small bar area in the front which is great for getting a drink or bite before a show.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately for us, the place was absolutely PACKED so we could hardly move, let alone order. There was a huge line for the bar so we decided to skip it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not necessarily the venue's fault, but it is on the small side, so if you want to dine or drink here before, come early.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The theater itself is STUNNING! Starlight ceiling, cool decor on the walls and a beautiful stage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a bar inside the theater, which was much more convenient to get to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating was standard chairs - again, potentially not the fault of the theater, but it wasn't the most comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Because everything is on the same floor, views from the further back rows wouldn't be nearly as good as those in the front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loveeee the decor and vibe of the theater itself and would love to see nicer seating options elevate this to its full potential![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a gorgeous venue![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was pleasantly surprised that the drinks were a reasonable price for a venue - approx $9/beer or seltzer. Bar lines got a bit long at times but the service was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and ample bathrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely come back again!

My husband and I went here for "Taste the Movies." The movie shown was Disney's animated film Aladdin. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a cool venue. I love the starry ceiling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The mocktails were great. The food was delicious. For the event, they have assigned tables for their guests. They don't have assigned seats--the reason I'm stating that is because the staff asked our table a few times if anyone was vegan, gluten-free, or needed non-alcoholic drinks. I was the only non-alcoholic drinker at my table, and they missed my mocktail. They try to differentiate the alcoholic vs. non-alcoholic by using glow bracelets, but I missed. Otherwise, I like the idea--it is pretty cool, and the food is good and filling. There is a parking ramp nearby within walking distance.

Was here recently for Star Wars Burlesque. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very nice venue. It's smaller than I expected, but I love the intimacy of it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is super friendly and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only gripe is we sat in the back balcony, which we thought would be good seats..well..it's nice and high, but it's just three rows of folding chairs so if you're short (like me) and there's two rows of tall people seated in front of you, you end up standing the whole show or you can't see anything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Would love to see them add some angled seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Dallas F.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]beautiful and unique place to watch a movie.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]not the ideal seating for a full length film though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm sure it's more suited for other events.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

What a beautiful and elegant, architectural masterpiece with exceptional service the moment you arrive to the front door. The show was an absolutely captivating, fully immersive experience. It was a silent film of the original Phantom of The Opera, but with live and modern orchestra production by Philip Shorey. Beyond well done! My wife and enjoyed non alcoholic beverages from the bar and picked a T shirt after the show. You would absolutely love this theater.

I attended my first event in this venue in December and I would love to come back. It was lovely. The event was the Fever Candlelight Holiday Jazz concert. The entire theatre is lit only by candlelight. The theatre has a starry ceiling to add to the atmosphere. The music was festive. The lead singer had a beautiful voice and the musicians were very talented. My only wish is that they would have played longer than about an hour. We had a VIP table which meant we were seated in the back of the theatre in a tiered viewing area. So we were farthest from the stage but had our own space, were elevated from the stage, and a had place to put our cocktails. In front of us were rows of chairs and I'm not sure if there was a slant to the floor so the back row could see. They only had one bartender working and a long line so, so thankfully, another joined to help. Loved the concert and venue. Looking for another option to attend an event at the Granada Theatre.

Was a great experience for a music show and nice to get back to uptown as it has been some time. Was a very clean place and they had good drinks as well. Would recommend a more experienced sound guy as it was a tad bit off for some of the music. Some of the sets you could not even hear the vocals or the bass with too much guitar.

Gorgeous space with so much potential. Food is pretty good too. There was new staff in the kitchen so food did take a while. Didn't matter, we were enjoying the show. Our table had Mussels, short rib sliders, and shrimp tacos. All were really good. However, the service was uneven and somewhat inexperienced although very friendly and upbeat. The prices are too low on several items and, in my opinion, too low to keep this place sustainable. There aren't enough seats at this price point to generate enough revenue. (It will be really hard to keep service staff if they aren't making good money). The band was great, the sound was great too. A great stage for music events. After the "growing pains" this is going to be must see place for a good show.

It happened to be a Marvin Gaye Tribute night, which was fine by me as I love me some some Marvin Gaye. If you are from the Bay Area, this place is like Yoshi's. I got there early and got the table my colleague picked was up stairs and a good view. Our server was great. There is a little coaster that is at the table that you can turn over for service or not if you don't want to be disturbed while watching the show. I ordered my food while waiting as I know there were two showing and I kind to eat or have most of my food eaten so I can enjoy the show. I started off with the jalapeno bacon wrapped poppers and the focaccia bread. the popper were not big and bulky and had a great smokey flavor to the bacon, which were probably put the on grill and not pan or oven cooked. I'm not a big bread person, but when I am out I'll usually eat and the foccacio was great and I needed to soak up the wine I was having with my food. For the main course I got the Shrimp and Grits, because it's a jazz club and southern joint. Oh my they were good. Just the right amount of spice to the gravy. The music was also great and the ambiance was really good too. I think I'll be heading to Yoshis a little more as it's been years that I've been to a venue like this. A chill way to end the conference week.

I recommend pre booking the valet for $15. Then you check in at the front table and someone takes you to your table. For first times be aware some tables are communal. The food here is just alright. We had the chicken sandwich with fries. It was fine but nothing to write home about. As for the shows we have never had a bad show here. The performer's always are into the show and we have left happy with the performance and sound quality.

There was an hour and 1/2 limit, but that was plenty of time for us to have a drink. I ordered the Me Espresso and my husband ordered the special of the day, which was a scotch with a special twist. Both were delicious! Definitely a little pricier, but the atmosphere made up for the cost. Overall I would definitely recommend! Next time we may wait for a booth to be served out of a window in the wall, did not know about that until we got there! Such a fun touch.

Luckily I had a reservation, or the guy behind the door acted like I wasn't getting in. I got a spot at the dimly lit bar right as the 1st set was starting. The band was fun; a 4 piece with Trombone lead. They were playing some jazz standards which was good for this crowd. The bartender was great. She made a couple unique drinks, including one off the menu called airmail, which was a version of a French 75. It was a great night all around, and I hope to make it back again while I'm in town.

They had the wrong time down but were able to fix the seating situation fairly quickly. Service seemed a little slow, but they were quite busy and still in the process of decorating/setting up for Halloween. The playlist was a hit, but the music would cut in and out or stop entirely which messed up the vibe. They usually take orders ahead online or you can order when you arrive. A few people from our group ordered with the server and I got my food first. Not only was my food kind of cold, other folks didn't get their meal for over 20 mins. I also found it odd that all the people who were seated and ready received their food last and the other folks who ordered ahead of time but weren't present for their food brought out. The food basically sat on the table for an hour with napkins over it. I'd rate the food about a 4/10. The steaks were made to order and the fish, but I'd recommend working more on their timing so the food comes out hot and fresh. They gave my dad a good waffle from someone else's order that had been sitting on the table for an hour. It was rock solid and cold. The drinks are expensive and not worth the price to me. I think this is a good place to check out if you want to hear some good music and maybe have a mimosa. If you order food, I'd recommend ordering in person and ordering things that need to be prepared fresh.

We came here to see a jazz band performing on their little stage by the window, and that was a very cool experience. I ordered & paid for a jalapeno cheese dog, but was later informed that they were out of those. They offered me one of their one-dollar-cheaper dogs, which was fine, except that they didn't even reimburse me for the extra dollar I paid. I reckon I should have said something, but that's not the point. Little mistake but the guys behind the bar were still very friendly and I like this place. I'll return for sure.

We had the following items on the menu for 26 people: - a large beet and pear salad - bacon and egg breakfast croissant sandwich x 30 servings (cut into halves) - cheese plate - hummus and veggie plate - two 9 inch chocolate torte The beet and pear salad was delicious, so was the bacon and egg breakfast croissant sandwiches which was perfect since they were hot and not cold sandwiches. The cheese plate was excellent, my husband like the hummus and veggie plate - the hummus was rich and spicy and flavorful. I was disappointed with the chocolate tort - it was definitely too sweet for my taste. Retrospectively, I would only have ordered one 9 inch chocolate torte to be shares amongst 26 guest as we had 3/4 of a cake left to bring home. If you want a cake that is chocolatey without being overly sweet, I would go for the chocolate dipped cake. Some of their cakes are made with almond butter and it just tasted too weird for my taste. Definitely skip those. Be aware of the composition of the cake before you order it. I would say I would not come here for their cake in the future if you can help it. I would recommend getting cakes from patisserie 46 instead. Our server Jordan was OK. After having the food out and when guests started to self serve at the buffet area she was nowhere to be found and had to be hunted down for condiments like olive oil. She could have been more "present" during the event. The venue is excellent. There is a minimum food and beverage $500 spending to rent the room for free. Room was spacious enough for 26 people, will be tight if you have 30 or more. I would advise to keep the guest list to be approximately 25 people max.

We hosted our cocktail style Wedding Reception here in June and felt it was woefully mismanaged…read morefrom start to finish. We booked all three rooms back in Fall of '23 and paid our deposit and were excited to get planning come May this year. We got to a month before the event and hadn't heard anything from the Event Coordinator regarding current menu, bar, timing, anything. Three weeks prior to the event we reached out and heard nothing for a week. Two weeks out we followed up and found out the Event Coordinator had changed from the one we booked with and the new one was out for an indeterminate period of time with a family emergency. We worked as best we could with the Event Captain but ended up with incorrect menus and pricing and were finally told the Event Coordinator would be back the Monday of our event week and it would be handled then. We got finalized menus and pricing 36 hours before our event. This was extremely stressful, however, we empathized with the Event Coordinator and were assured the event itself would be great. On the day, we arrived and the staff setting up was unsure how many chairs we wanted. They didn't know which equipment we had paid for to use that needed to be set up. They didn't know what the event was for. They were all very nice and let us know they had extremely limited information about our event which was very concerning for us. The Event Coordinator was present for about 5 mins to ask us about a backup wine if ours ran out and that was it (it did run out because there was only one bottle). There was no Event Captain, and the Coordinator was not on hand and (according to staff) unreachable during the event. We had agreed upon several things including a finite amount to pay for "open bar" and then switching to card after that point and we found out only AFTER we met our minimum that they were never told/weren't prepared to take cards. At that point, our options were no drinks (N/A or otherwise) for the last 3 hours or so of our event or we could just keep paying. So we ended up paying much more than was quoted/agreed upon due to lack of communication/oversight. We were told that guests could visit the attached Blue Stem bar, but it closed two hours before our event ended. We also had guests with dietary preferences/restrictions and had ordered vegan options and gluten free cake. We had asked if these could be explicitly labeled to avoid confusion and were told "yes" and on the day it did not happen so many of our guests were unaware there was anything they could eat at our reception. We were also told we could take our leftovers home and we only got cake when there was a lot of food left when they took it away. The sternos were out for some period of time and we couldn't find someone to help with that. The bar was left unattended. The bartenders were serving and refilling alcohol table to table (which we did not want or ask for), and did not pass appetizers as agreed upon. We reached out to the owner, twice, following our event to discuss our concerns to no avail. We LOVE French Meadow and are just heartbroken to have had this experience with them. Posting this (very lengthy) review in hopes no one else goes through this expensive disappointment.
