They take these seriously and have additional support for ALL children. It has been a godsend to not fear sending my younger two boys to school and having their spirits broken by the educational system. I ran across Midtown Primary and Principal Ms. Belinda reached back out to me immediately with information about the school and answered any questions I had. We setup a day to allow me to tour the school. I got to meet Ms. Mandy who is the 3rd grade teacher (I have a 3rd Grader) who showed me around and it was all good vibes. I feel like my children will be safe, happy and have a great learning experience here. I love that each classroom has an assistant teacher as well. That is so necessary in schools today to ensure no child is left behind when learning and that teachers are not overworked and stressed out. Nice kitchen area and cafeteria where they are served breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner. Nice playground with plenty of open space and shaded outdoor seating. My neighbors kid was a member of the church and her student was denied for kindergarten because he couldn't draw a complete circle! SERIOUSLY! he is now a sophomore at BROPHY! How the diocese allows this school to deny their own based on one person's opinion is scary. So parents do not be discouraged if your child is denied admission here since they are "selective". Your child will be okay.

Most of the teachers I've met are really nice and seem to have great connections with their students. My only concern is the after school pick-up system is really disorganized and flawed. It's easy for me to just waltz past any teacher and take my child's hand unnoticed back to my car. I have done this a few times because it takes forever having a teacher yell each student's name individually. I would suggest they form 2 lines along the north building. One along the wall of the north building and one along the gate. That way each student can only pass thru the middle of both those 2 lines towards the gate where the parent is waiting. It would be a lot easier and safer than the cluster of kids standing near the office. I hope Mrs. Bonnet reads this and takes it into consideration. Overall this is a great school.

My daughter came home from school devastated about her photo ID informing me that she was bullied over her school photo by other children. She was telling me that they teased her for smiling with her missing teeth. So i asked her if they had any teeth missing and she said no. As i brought this to the front desks attention they told me basically it was not their issue to deal with amd redirected to me to the teacher WHOM IVE NEVER MET, and said handled it in the app. This frustrated me and made me feel like they were just not handling it professionally with explaining that the teacher will contact the parents and then maybe a parent teacher conference would he conducted JUST something settling. They assumed i wanted a physical reprimanded? Excuse me. This is a school.. Why would i expect them to whoop someone or discipline them physically? Just frustrating to hear them say that. So i asked them are they not taking bullying seriously in this state because we're new here and i dont yet know how they conduct things here and they said theyd just send a social worker to the class to talk to the kids and let them know everyone grows at different rates, dont bully anyone. However, we requested a new ID they made us pay for it because i refused to give the one she was BULLIED OVER BACK! hahah, so i paid. but i feel like i shouldnt have. anyways, so far.. not the best

After school kids are let out in the front of the school where several adults are standing. Anyone can take your kid. Education: This school does not invest in your student. If you did not start there in kindergarten they have no interest or the capacity to teach your student. The teachers state the classrooms are too large and only have one teacher and no aid so they don't have time to support each kid. The classrooms are old and the principal comes on a little too strong. He uses scare tactics to push kids out of the school to maintain the A rating.
