Anyway Horizon welcomed my daughter with open arms. All her teachers were very good with her and she loves all of them. My daughter is now 13 and in 8th grade. She has blossomed into a very, responsible, respectful and courteous young lady. She has had great support though out all her years there. When we were dropping her off she ran up to a parent and hugged him and I apologized. He was so kind and I think it actually made his day. Some older kids came in and joined in the singing and added dancing. Just a great atmosphere for kids. The staff really enjoy children and trying to get them to smile. There is 4 aids to 15 kids and I still felt my child was neglected. Constantly had diaper rashes and got ahold of a battery and chewed it. The nurse called me to pick up my child because they weren't sure if he swallowed battery acid. Upon arriving they sent my child back to his class. I was very upset the main principle did not want to speak to me so she assigned the assistant principle * Also, my son's teacher always dresses like she rolled out of bed.. no pride to her job and the class constantly had a sub. My son always came home smelling like poop * The class room is messy and smells as well. They are not organized at all. I can keep going and going about my opinions. A lady called Alysa told me I am not supposed to be there with a little patience waiting. Alysa came and told me to follow her to one classroom and later took me at Mr. M's. Class. He explained to me what to do and I followed thro. On the 22nd I arrived early and I was not allowed at the lobby it was very cold. I even plead but they said no. I was assigned with Mrs. Denver's class assigned to work with a student on wheel chair, no one told me I have to push. The kids were lining to get to the classroom, she started yelling at me" You don't leave the client pushing herself " Dimisal time yelled again "Take her to the bus stop now " I'm using a walker. I came home my employee called me and said "You are no longer needed at the school " I am confused, is this discrimination? Why did'nt they give me a chance to know me. The neighborhood is very friendly and when school is out there is a ton of traffic. Its very congested with kids and so many cars. It's right next to two parks which is great for after school okay.
