I try to walk this course as much as i can on sundays. Been doing so for years. Course has changed through out time. Its not at top shape due to groundskeeper change. But its still on good enough shape to be nicest 9h course in town, hard to beat, so i let conditions slide. The folks working here are fantastic ppl. Especially Fred, super great will go out of way to assist. Ill continue to play here as a Sunday ritual for long time. read more

This review is not to give feedback about playing golf here at the Granada Golf Course, as that is something I have never done. However, you can catch me here 2-4 times a week as it is one of my most favorite places to walk and look at gorgeous homes. The entire loop is about 2.7 miles which is perfect for getting to your step goal. If you don't have time (or it is too hot) to walk the entire thing, you can split it up on Granada. When it comes to parking, off of Coral Way and Cardena street there is free visitor parking for up to 2 hours. Overall, it's a great walking route that has gorgeous homes as scenery and friendly folks you will see regularly walking or running about. read more

Great practice course. Don't expect the grounds crew to be on point like the Biltmore or Trump, but for less than $30 super playable. About 90% of those who play here walk the course so don't be a Jerry and get a golf cart unless absolutely necessary. read more

I don't play golf so this is solely a review for the aesthetics of the golf course. Granada Golf Course isolated in the heart of Coral Gables. I love to go jogging or walking here. There is a lot of shade due to the Gables' beautiful trees. They also have tennis courts where they offer lessons for all ages. And there are two restaurants by the course. Parking is plenty and free of charge. read more

I love this course. It's fantastic for a quick 9 holes. If you don't have much time or just want to play a nice course, this is it. There's no hazards except trees and the streets, if you keep it in play you will be fine. It's beautiful and well kept. I do wish it had a range or separate chipping area of some sort, because I love to warm up. It sits right in the heart of Coral gables and is a gorgeous plot of land. I grew up 5 minutes from here and never imagined myself getting into golf and playing here. I'm glad I did. read more

The Granada Golf Course is a nine-hole Par 36 course that was opened in 1923(!). Truth be told, I know nothing about golf (I repeat, NOTHING) but have perhaps frequented this golf course more than any other place in Miami over the course of my twelve years. Why? Well, it's a dang good place to run! I started running around here nearly 10 years ago and simply never stopped. In the past ten years, my family has grown three times over, so I now also enjoy walking with my husband, dog, and baby practically every weekend. The whole loop is about 2.5 miles but it's also easily cut in half by Granada Blvd, so you can choose your own adventure. Parking is free and I can always find a spot along Granada Blvd. The Coral Gables Country Club is right there and has a nice cafe for a bite or gelato. The golfers always seem happy and I've never once had to dodge a ball during my runs. Overall, it's a nice neighborhood staple and I feel so lucky to still have it so close to my house! read more

The starter was an absolute douchebag. Came up to us and in a rudely manner started to say how "we're little kids" and to "get off the course if we're not going to play fast". Payed the same as everyone else. Not everyone is on the same level as a golfer. Should be for all levels of play. Keep in mind this was a weekday during off hours. He was super rude for no reason at all and wouldn't let us talk back to him. read more

This golf course is great to run, walk your dogs, ride bike or just play golf! All the locals that come are cordial, say hello or wave at others. This is hard to see in Miami where rude people are found almost in every corner. We love running here and the whole course is about two miles and split in two, making it great if you are training for a marathon. Recently in the news they reported there been a rare species of bats that have take over the location. Well I guess this will be a better reason to go for a run here now, especially because it is also filled with foxes. Now we run from both foxes and bats, enough natural motivation to stay in shape! read more

I disagree with the prior reviewer, I think this course is kept in pretty good shape, considering that this course is used constantly by golfers of *all* ages and skill levels. Granada has been a longtime staple of mine. The 9-hole layout offers stress-free golf. Water hazards are nonexistent and sand traps are few. The greens roll fine - again, hardly the worst putting surfaces I've seen. You start out with 2 free and clear par 4s against the prevailing easterly breeze, then turn around and face a fairly difficult 200-yard par 3. The next two holes, typically with the wind, are not that difficult. Then you face Granada's signature hole, #6, a bonafide par 5, slight dogleg right. It features a tight fairway with the street to the left, and a stand of ancient eye-popping-huge golf ball-eating banyan trees to the right. Marvel at their grandiosity, but don't hit your ball in there, because it isn't much fun trying to hit it back out. 7,8 and 9 are rather generous holes, marginally difficult only if there's wind. Enjoyable relaxing course. Pluses: -Scenic -Wide layout, no water and little sand makes you feel like a better golfer than you are -Fairways and greens in good shape for a heavily-used municipal course -Can play a quick weekday 9 Minuses: -Very crowded on weekends -Attracts a lot of slow-playing beginners read more

A serviceable 9 hole muni track that gets a ton of play. On this day it was pretty busy and as a single,​ I was paired with two lovely ladies who were out to enjoy themselves. The course condition brings down this review however the greens were very smooth for as much play as this course seems to get. The pace​ was glacial at times but on a Sunday that is expected. The course is straightforward​ but don't​ hook it or it will be OB. Make sure you stay close to the starter if you don't have a tee time or he might pair you, unpair you and then forget he hasn't sent you out. Pretty humorous to watch unfold. My absolute favorite place to get a few miles in on my runs :) It is peaceful, uncongested, and you don't have to worry too much about cars. Its nice to see fellow joggers, walkers, and bikers on the road. The pretty green, trees, and houses make for an interesting run. Also I have noticed that recently, in the early mornings, (which are still humid!) running around the golf course is actually cooler... Could be the irrigation system of the golf course? I don't know but it is very pleasant. :) My fiancé has played golf here. It is a 9 hole golf course and is good for practice. Also the price isn't bad :) read more

Let me start by saying that I'm a premier card member for years but I took the risk to go and play Granada after years of not coming here, just to play a quick 9, I booked over the phone my tee time at 3:50p, the guy got confused and put me on 3:10p. They never told me anything when I came and pay my fee. I came early because they don't have a range so I was stretching and enjoying the weather. I informed at 3:40p to the starter that I was ready and he started having an attitude that I was already late and he changed completely after seeing my receipt that I was there on time. Long story short, they wanted made me wait for 1 hour to get to play and I just left. That's what happens when you try to give a vote of confidence to a place like this. read more

Not a golfer but if I were this is where I would come. They have cold bottled water with paper cups around the golf course during the day, they remove it at night.Look for the wooden boxes...kinda hidden. However I love coming here to run. There's always a lot of people running, biking or skating. During the evenings it feels safe and lighted up. Just keep an eye out for the foxes and newly added bats...I'm not kidding.I've had a few fox encounters. But no worries it only made me run way faster, lol. read more

I'm not reviewing the course because I've played golf, but I'm reviewing it as far as jogging trails go. Many, many people come to this course and park their cars along the course (no meters, the parking is free) and either rollerblade, cycle, or walk/jog here. The course is HUGE. I believe the entire thing (the jogging area) is a little over 3 miles). Pretty good place to jog. The entire thing is like a big oval. While jogging, cycling, etc., you are passing all the houses and condos that surround this area. The people are so friendly which really just makes this place ideal as far as exercise goes. After sundown they have Coral Gables police patrolling the area which is very nice. This is a good alternative for exercise options if say, any of the parks are closed. read more

I guess I'll be the first to review the golf course. I played this course once when I was a kid, so when I moved to Miami last year I figured I'd give it another shot. Man is this course in terrible shape. I would say that it's a bit of a cow pasture, but even the grass in cow pastures is better quality than much of the grass on this course. The rough is equivalent to the grass you have in your backyard, except for longer. The greens are about the same speed ass putting on a shag carpet and are filled with divots, ball marks, burnt patches, and various other inconsistencies that almost force you to just give yourself a 2 putt when you get to the green and pick your ball up. Pace of play is also staggeringly slow despite the course being relatively slow most of the time. You'd think that for such a short course with not very much play you'd be able to get through without waiting, but the people who frequent this course are typically 30+ handicaps from all appearances and often lack basic golf etiquette. I've also never seen a ranger out on the course to speed up play, so if you get behind some hackers, I highly recommend playing through them. There are only a few redeeming qualities of this court that keep it from being a 1 star. 1) It's very inexpensive for a Miami golf course (under $20 a round for Coral Gables/Miami residents) 2) It's the most convenient course if you find yourself with a few hours open in the afternoon and want to get out for a quick 9 3) It's a fairly scenic course as the houses bordering the course are all pretty nice and the enormous trees (some appear to be at least 100 years old) make the course pretty aesthetically pleasing If you want to play a decent course, then I would stay away at all costs, but if you're just looking to walk/ride a quick 9 then it might be worth your while. read more

I had an awesome experience at Granada Today! The pro shop guy Bill I think. I know it stated with a be was so accommodating even though I was twenty mins late for my tee time due to my wife wanting to tag along for my birthday. The starter felt like a relative of mine the way he was so engaging and helpful. The course was absolutely beautiful! The only thing that could have made it a 10 /10 is a lake somewhere to catch hapless victims. many tropical flowers, plants and trees surrounded the course. but out favorite part of the course was the beautiful banyan trees! The only time I have seen them is in Hawaii. We actually swing from one on the par 5 hole 6! read more

This golf course highlights one of the huge benefits of living in a city like Miami. Granted, we have gone through what it seems exponential growth in the past 10 years and traffic is no longer the flow it used to be when you could get anywhere in Dade County in 20 minutes, but if you are up to a weekday afternoon round of 9 holes, it doesn't matter where you are in Miami, you can pretty much make it to this course and play it before dark. It is reasonably priced, very forgiving and generous, allows for pretty dynamic play, and considering you walk this course, an afternoon in the Gables simply doesn't get any better than this. In fact, if you are a beginner, this is a good course to cut your teeth and spend some time working on your approach and short game. Awful. Gave away my tee time after calling in advance to a foursome as I was ready to golf alone. Didn't mention over the phone that they have a nonexistent parking lot. If you're looking to get a workout in on the way to golf, this is the spot, as you'll have to carry your bag to and from the 10 minute walk from car to clubhouse. Got there at 4:20, big line and didn't get to the front of line until 4:31. I was told that they stopped renting golf carts after 4:30. Then he told me he was going to pull the carts of the foursome who was waiting at the tee box. I video him as he went outside but he didn't anything. This foursome was there before me. As far as golf public courses go, I've been advised that this course is unkept and the greens are not well manicured. I've been playing golf for 6 weeks and love it here. I'm not a golfer - but this place looks green and lush - and I don't know what a golfer looks for anyway. But as a Mom of 2 - walking along the bumpy sidewalks of Coral Gables - can get kinda old. So I found that after the park (Salvadore Park) about 1/2 a mile away from this course - my kids are pooped and tranquil in their seats. The course is HUGE and very smooth, and I find that I can get a little exercise in on the course before we head home. There are plenty of people running/walking the course in the evening - and I just feel really safe walking here. I don't have to deal with cars - and I can just walk in peace in a beautiful setting :) read more

Granada Golf Course is the perfect little neighborhood 9-hole course. It's been recently renovated and improved by the City of Coral Gables. I've only played this course since the renovation, so I can't make any comparisons to it's previous state. The course runs along both N and S Greenway Drive and straddles both sides of Granada Blvd in the Gables. There always seems to be enough parking for the size of the course. This is a perfect course to get in some practice. It's not a stuffy course by any means. And if you're a magnet for water like I tend to be, you'll be glad to hear there is zero water. The greens are decently fast on a dry afternoon. And some of the fairways are fairly wide for those players who can't seem to hit a straight drive. It's not expensive at all and isn't very extravagant. They will book your tee times in advance only for the morning hours. Anyone who wants to play after 12pm will enjoy first come first served tee times. I usually get there after 3pm to avoid the midday baking sun and to avoid too many people playing in front or behind me. There's a small putting green, though, no driving range. The pro shop isn't very large and doesn't have much in the way of merchandise either. There is, however, an on-site restaurant, Burger Bob's. All in all, this is a great place to practice your game and not spend too much. It's also a perfect place to bring youngsters to get them started. read more

It is a 4 star "public" golf course, not private. Do not go there expecting country club conditions with fast greens. As far as a public course this is my go-to course here in Miami. $19 for 9 holes and a pull-cart. You can walk this nice course in the middle of Coral Gables with a couple of friends. It is almost never crowded. Whatever you do, do not knock your balls in those humongous Cypress trees. Getting them out can be a real pain. Great place to squeeze in a cheap nine. No waits in the afternoon (except for slow players) you can walk it, and I bet its the least expensive 9 in all of south florida. Course has nice wide straight fairways but around the greens it can really throw some curves. Only draw back is that the residents treat it like its a park - especially in the evenings - gotta watch out for dogs and kids on the fairways. Otherwise its a great way to spend an hour and half. Not the greatest golf course in the world, especially if you are an avid golfer - but a great place to get some practice. read more

i usually play here on the weekends when i do not have another golfing buddy, I actually learned to play gold here, the fairways are wide open and its a real easy course, the greens in the summer time are well maintained and have a real nice dark green to them, my only problem is the price, they charge $19 to walk with your own cart if your not a gables resident, $19 for a 9 hole and public course at that, are you kidding me? and if you want to ride a whooping $27, and it does not natter the time of the day it is the same price all day, for that I can wait till 1 pm and polay in either Miami Springs for $38 or Costa for $38 and its an 18 hole course read more
