Great practice course. Don't expect the grounds crew to be on point like the Biltmore or Trump, but for less than $30 super playable. About 90% of those who play here walk the course so don't be a Jerry and get a golf cart unless absolutely necessary.

I don't play golf so this is solely a review for the aesthetics of the golf course. Granada Golf Course isolated in the heart of Coral Gables. I love to go jogging or walking here. There is a lot of shade due to the Gables' beautiful trees. They also have tennis courts where they offer lessons for all ages. And there are two restaurants by the course. Parking is plenty and free of charge.

I love this course. It's fantastic for a quick 9 holes. If you don't have much time or just want to play a nice course, this is it. There's no hazards except trees and the streets, if you keep it in play you will be fine. It's beautiful and well kept. I do wish it had a range or separate chipping area of some sort, because I love to warm up. It sits right in the heart of Coral gables and is a gorgeous plot of land. I grew up 5 minutes from here and never imagined myself getting into golf and playing here. I'm glad I did.

Walking around Coral Gables I found myself in front of this ample and so pretty Golf Course. I continued walking around the entire campus and it felt nice to be able to breathe pure air as I enjoyed the view of this impeccable d green place. Parking around it is free.

I have never ever really fancied golf, but today I could see myself taking up this sport, after all my brother loves it! Who knows what 2021 will bring!

This golf course is great to run, walk your dogs, ride bike or just play golf! All the locals that come are cordial, say hello or wave at others. This is hard to see in Miami where rude people are found almost in every corner. We love running here and the whole course is about two miles and split in two, making it great if you are training for a marathon. Recently in the news they reported there been a rare species of bats that have take over the location. Well I guess this will be a better reason to go for a run here now, especially because it is also filled with foxes. Now we run from both foxes and bats, enough natural motivation to stay in shape!

I disagree with the prior reviewer, I think this course is kept in pretty good shape, considering that this course is used constantly by golfers of *all* ages and skill levels. Granada has been a longtime staple of mine. The 9-hole layout offers stress-free golf. Water hazards are nonexistent and sand traps are few. The greens roll fine - again, hardly the worst putting surfaces I've seen. You start out with 2 free and clear par 4s against the prevailing easterly breeze, then turn around and face a fairly difficult 200-yard par 3. The next two holes, typically with the wind, are not that difficult. Then you face Granada's signature hole, #6, a bonafide par 5, slight dogleg right. It features a tight fairway with the street to the left, and a stand of ancient eye-popping-huge golf ball-eating banyan trees to the right. Marvel at their grandiosity, but don't hit your ball in there, because it isn't much fun trying to hit it back out. 7,8 and 9 are rather generous holes, marginally difficult only if there's wind. Enjoyable relaxing course. Pluses: -Scenic -Wide layout, no water and little sand makes you feel like a better golfer than you are -Fairways and greens in good shape for a heavily-used municipal course -Can play a quick weekday 9 Minuses: -Very crowded on weekends -Attracts a lot of slow-playing beginners

My absolute favorite place to get a few miles in on my runs :) It is peaceful, uncongested, and you don't have to worry too much about cars. Its nice to see fellow joggers, walkers, and bikers on the road. The pretty green, trees, and houses make for an interesting run. Also I have noticed that recently, in the early mornings, (which are still humid!) running around the golf course is actually cooler... Could be the irrigation system of the golf course? I don't know but it is very pleasant. :) My fiancé has played golf here. It is a 9 hole golf course and is good for practice. Also the price isn't bad :)

Don't play here until the greens are repaired. They should pay us to play there. It use to be a good nine hole course.

The price is objectively a little too high for what it is unless you are a miami dade patron. The greens are pretty good, the fairways are in 6/10 condition, the tee boxes are about the same. The restaurant is quite good too and the staff is always polite. People clearly have had variable experiences but I wouldn't let that turn me away.

The quality of the experience, and the quality of the course should dictate the price, not some unelected bureaucrat who most likely can't golf. I was told today that the prices were increased to "improve" the course. Really? How about using common sense and fixing the course and then possibly raising the price because the course would actually be worth it? What a novel concept. Whoever the idiot was that got either a kickback, or was simply swindled by the Trackman rep, and put those useless arcade style trackman on the driving range, should be fired. Hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars wasted and over $6000 a month in rental fees for absolutely useless equipment. And the $22 a bucket price for golf balls is insane. So let's add this up: Trash course in pathetic shape(tee boxes and fairways are garbage), other than the greens, which are decent. Inept management that allow entirely too many people out, with tee times too closely packed together resulting in 6+ hour rounds Over $500k in wasted tax dollars on pointless arcade game trackmans on a dilapidated driving range with exorbitant pricing Greens fees which have increased dramatically over the last 3 years that do not reflect the quality of the course, or the experience being paid for. To charge over $100 for Palmetto should be considered a crime. If you are a Miami-Dade resident, and you care about golf in this county, let the imbeciles who have made these idiotic decisions know how you feel. And vote with your pocketbook since we didn't elect these clowns- REFUSE TO PLAY COUNTY COURSES until they reduce the pricing, or provide a product worth the price.

I play there, usually 2 days a week, and have discovered something interesting. If you read Geoff Shackelford's book, Golf Course Architecture For Normal People, you'll discover this course, by virtue of the design, is actually great. We describe it as a British style golf course with palm trees. The course is certainly not PGA Tour length, but the holes each offer a special challenge. We find it a lot of fun to play from different tees to make some holes easier or harder. Sometimes, we'll rotate red, to gold to white. The course design is very memorable and honestly, a course you could play every day and not get tired of it.

HIGHLY Recommend Mike Simmons!…read more I held back on reviewing and waited until I was good amount of lessons in to give a thorough review. But cutting to the chase: Get lessons with the guy! You won't regret it! The long version: My father + I have been golfing together since I was super young. (He secretly hoped for me to be the next Michelle Wie, pfft) But it was always casual and my father has always been my "coach". Fast forward to now, after a longggg hiatus I'm now in my late twenties and about to move to the Carolinas where there is a myriad of golf courses (like Florida). I really wanted to be more than just "decent" or "okay" and hold my own out there. Lets just say that I wanted to graduate from schooling everyone at Mini Golf and get ready for the Big Leagues ;D That's where Mike Simmons comes in. My father found Mike and we immediately set lessons together as a Father-Daughter activity together before I move away. We bought a package from Mike that includes 6 Lessons and round of Golf on the course. Despite having some experience and my father being his own self proclaimed guru (with clubs straight from 1970s and never updated, mind you) Mike is able to break down the fundamentals of the game in a very thorough and concrete way. (And convinced my father to update his clubs! haha) Our lessons consisted of learning all aspects of the game. History, foundation, long range, short game. And all the little details in between from your stance, how to properly how the club, lining your shot. Nothing is missed. At times it may seem like information overload but once you hit that sweet shot you'll have that "Ah-ha!" moment that only Mike could provide. If I wasn't leaving in a couple of months I would definitely get more lessons from him. A++
