This is a golf course period! When you come out and play this course and look at the pro tees, you can really get a feel on how well these people really play!!! This course is in pristine condition... Grass, bunkers, tee boxes greens... Spotless... You do get your bang for the buck! Enjoy!!!

Overall, I'd have to say, I was extremely underwhelmed with my experience at Trump National Doral. With that being said, there were some positive aspects of my time there and I'll start with those... As anyone would expect at a Trump-owned property, opulence was in abundance. One feels as if he/she is walking into the Taj Mahal when entering the hotel lobby. The course itself was in immaculate condition but is, in no way, worth the $400 green fee (or 4-hour drive from Orlando). And this brings me to the negative facets of Trump National Doral. If you just want to play on a course you've seen the professionals play on television, by all means, book a tee time at Doral Blue Monster. As an avid golfer and one that has played many courses frequented by the PGA Tour, The Blue Monster course was very underwhelming. Although plenty difficult, the layout is boring and feels like almost any other resort golf course in Florida. While we coughed up $25.00 per person for the caddie, he was not all that helpful to our experience. Rather then walking to our landing area to watch where the tee shots would end up, he walked 100-159 yards into the fairway and attempted to watch your ball flights through a rangefinder. One particular shot went into the tree area... Instead of walking to help look for the ball, the caddie remained on the green simply stating that the player did not get a favorable bounce. No yardage measurement or attempt to locate the ball so the player could play it (which he eventually found on his own!). Most offensive, the caddie chose to interject his political beliefs while waiting on the 18th hole! While we expressed a preference not to discuss the election, the caddy continued on about the Presidential Election and how anyone could possibly vote for his candidates opponent. Still, if these had been my only issues with the property, I would have been quite pleased with my experience had it not been for the greediness of the hotel, charging guests more money at seemingly every turn. The Sunday morning tee time had a price tag of nearly $400. When we went in the pro shop to check in, we were charged a $25 forecaddie fee (in addition to the suggested $25 gratuity for the caddie). I've played many courses that require the use of a forecaddie and I've never been charged a fee by the course. The merchandise in the shop and the beverages in the bar were, of course overpriced - $120 shirts and $5 gatorades. Upon completion of the round I walked to grab my car from valet where I was informed that despite a $400 round price tag, I was informed that I would be charged an additional $20.00 for the valet. While you would think maybe self parking was complimentary, no it's $5.00 per hour! Needless to say, we were quite unimpressed with the experience at Trump National Doral.

The course itself seems to be in good condition but wasn't immaculate. I'm not sure what the FL standard is but I had no issues. Pace of play was good on a Saturday morning. Recommend ordering food ahead via the cart as the wait to order inside is a little long because they don't have premade options available unless it's a candy bar, etc. Staff are friendly and you're set with a small bucket of range balls with your round. They'll also clean your clubs once you've finished. Water is available quite often throughout the course to refill your bottle. Booking is a hassle if you're traveling in as they only open online 5 days in advance or require you to book via a hotel concierge. Price is high, but is apparently in line with other courses in the area. I'm used to $100 being the top end in the Chicago so $177 is a bit shocking when nothing particularly justifies the extra cost. It's golf and I had a good time at the end of the day but I think value could be better.

The courses were super cute, really fun theming and high effort decoration. The actual mini golf itself was a little bland; every hole we went to was Par 2 and had at most one interesting feature, many were just a straight shot with an incline. The food was surprisingly pretty good, the guacamole in particular was a standout. The drinks were alright, I got an espresso martini and the "Drop Me Off in Wynwood". Definitely didn't regret either but I feel like there's at least one higher level in quality they could get to. Speaking of dropping me off on Wynwood, parking was a situation for everyone who drove from our party, the nearby lot was over 50 bucks and double charged one of our party. I was lucky and found a street spot (but only had a 2 hour limit), probably should have just gotten a Lyft or taken the bus. Noise levels were totally fine; we were there at open on a weekend day so it was pretty dead at the time, surely very different vibe at night. All in all a great experience, definitely recommend for anybody looking for a chill way to spend an afternoon with a group.

The customer service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and a manager even stopped by to make sure everything was going well. I appreciated how welcoming and accommodating the staff were throughout our visit. One of the things I enjoy most about Topgolf is that you don't have to be good at golf to have fun. There are several game options to choose from, and the Sonic game was a favorite because players of all skill levels can compete and score points. The app made ordering food quick and convenient. I ordered the pepperoni flatbread, and it was excellent. Our group also enjoyed boneless wings and a trio appetizer with vegetables, pita, and dips. Everything arrived quickly, and the food exceeded my expectations. One tip: check bay pricing before you visit. We noticed that rates increased throughout the afternoon, so earlier time slots may save you some money. Overall, we had a great experience. Between the friendly staff, fun atmosphere, great food, and variety of games, Topgolf is a great option for birthdays, family outings, date nights, or hanging out with friends.

Luckily, I spotted self-parking, and we were able to get into the garage instead. Check-in was easy. As a Marriott Lifetime Platinum member, I appreciate the benefits of loyalty, and my room was upgraded to the Orchid Tower with a beautiful balcony overlooking the golf course. The resort charges a $75 resort fee, which includes access to the gym, putting greens, and Tidal Cove Water Park. On Saturday afternoon we headed to the water park, but it was so crowded. There were no chairs available, the lazy river was bumper-to-bumper with people, and several families allowed their children to fight and run around while security seemed uninterested. We left and walked over to the adult pool, which was nice and had plenty of chairs. The wedding itself was beautiful. The Grand Ballroom was a little tight for the 220 guests. The dance floor was too small to accommodate. The catered meal (beef, fish, or vegetarian) was typical banquet food and unfortunately inedible. I was there to celebrate the bride and groom, so the food was secondary. Although, If I was paying, I would not have been happy. Sunday brought more disappointment. We returned to Tidal Cove only to find it just as crowded, so we again headed to the adult pool. While relaxing, a woman brought her small dog to the pool. Marriott may allow dogs on the property, and I have no issue with that, but she actually let the dog swim in the pool. Another guest complained, yet the dog remained in the water while the owner loudly argued. Soon other guests started bringing their dogs down to the pool. Again, not one of the workers around the pool said anything. A resort pool should not become a dog park. I had been given a 3:30 p.m. late checkout, I was so disgusted that I left at 1:00 p.m. At checkout I told the front desk exactly what I had witnessed. Then came the final frustration. Self-parking is advertised at $45 per day and was supposed to be charged to my room. Instead, I paid at the garage exit. My ticket showed I entered at 1:46 p.m. Saturday and exited at 2:02 p.m. Sunday--just 20 minutes over 24 hours. Rather than charging the daily rate plus perhaps a small overage, I was charged $74.90. I made my husband stop at the parking office where I spoke with Rachel. She contacted the manager, who assured me the extra charge would be removed. A week later, the full $74.90 posted to my Visa with no adjustment. I've tried to call the hotel directly and every time they forward the call to accounting, no one picks up and call drops. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but between the overcrowding, dogs swimming in the adult pool, and the parking overcharge that was never corrected, this stay was extremely disappointing. As a Lifetime Platinum Elite member who chooses Marriott whenever possible, I expected far better customer service and management. Unfortunately, I will never return. There are other Marriott Resorts in Florida that are so much nicer.
