I ve been holding on to write this review because in the beginning I was doubting myself, and I am so new to this sport, on top of it this is not really my type of sport that I normally I will do, but now!!!! I am hooked!!!! Mike changed me. First I want to tell you guys how I signed up in the beginning. My first tried out was through Groupon.com, Mike definitely has the best deal for people who wants to have taste of it, the groupon was only $49 for 1 hour, and I called him, he was super friendly and humble and made schedule quickly for me, unliking other place when you call and they figure out you new and give you some type of attitude. ... so I made to my first class, I was little insecure due to I am super beginner, Mike greeted me there on time, had set up everything quickly and I finished my first class and decided to take the whole session of 6 classes with a super reasonable price. So far I already had 3 lessons, already see the big progress from nothing till now my ball finally is in the air with correct gestures lol Second, the practice was very repeatedly but Mike always demonstrates into details and I love all the philosophy he says all the time. Don't want to tell you guys much about it, if you interested you should call him. Practicing golf got my mind calm and focused. I truly enjoying it! Thank you Mike! read more

Mike Simmons is an amazing golf pro and shaved ten strokes off of my game after only a handful of lessons. I have played golf for ten years and was unable to consistently break 90 until I began working with Mike. 5/5: If I could go above that score, I would. My experience with Rick Smith's Golf Performance…read moreCenter was beyond my expectations. As a disclaimer, I had never touched a golf club or stepped onto a driving range. In essence, I am a total beginner, which was refreshing for both the instructor and me. It was not until recently, I realized Josiah Singletary, elite golf instructor, went above and beyond to ensure my time at Rick Smith's was more than pleasant. The golf center is a business partner of Trump Doral, therefore it is on the property. Josiah took me on a tour and went around the different ballrooms and conference centers. I attached the pictures I took while I was on the tour. Note that the pictures are before the event planners organize the rooms to give a better appreciation for the luxurious space available. Regardless of your political affiliation, it was very apparent that every aspect of the Trump Doral facilities and experience had not been forgotten, with the finest attention to detail present in every aspect of the resort. Josiah took the time to highlight certain aspects of the architecture that he thought was interesting. No politics; just golf, luxury, and relaxation. I appreciated Josiah's talent for time management because the transition from the tour to golfing lessons was seamless. He recommended the order of instructions: putting, chipping, and driving. I agreed and we started with putting. As a beginner, I was unaware of the intricacies at play, especially when Josiah utilized his equipment. In addition to the equipment, he understands that some students are visual learners so he would incorporate slow motion videography. It was immediately apparent that his advanced knowledge of the game enables a focused observation of your stroke. In my case, I had "micromovements" that once corrected, improved my game significantly. The clips I uploaded were among some of the videos that were recorded after his suggestions for body corrections. It is this positive reinforcement of the contact sounds between the balls and club that the sky is the limit with your own development. My personal tip is to ask about the x-factor, which will put you ahead of most beginners! Overall, I would give Josiah Singletary the highest compliments as an instructor. I recommend him and the Rick Smith's Golf Performance Center in the highest regard.
