When you walk in it's definitely going to give you that country style old school hunters cabin or granddaddy home feel. They mostly have that good ol Texas country music playing. It's a great feeling while you eat really. Only reason it gets 4 stars is because of the Margaritas. Only 2 flavor options and not the best tasting ones in town. Would I recommend this place? YES! of course I would. I recommend The Pharm any day of the week.

Th menu has so many great options, so I went with the special, chicken fried chicken with white gravy, mashed potatoes, okra and toast. I am not a huge gravy person so got it on the side. The proportions were the perfect size, not too little and definitely not overwhelming. Everything was excellent and cooked to perfection. I had the sweet tea and it was wonderful as well. My co worker had the fish plate, she is a connoisseur of fish and said it was wonderful. The booths were a good size and customers are able to write with chalk paint pens to leave their mark. The environment was relaxing and fun at the same time. Although the space is smaller, the speed of service and the wonderful staff made it feel big. Will definitely return when I travel through Teague!

One day had Tex-Mex, the next visit had a cheeseburger w/ onion rings. The Durango dinner had two enchiladas with beans and rice, and a taco. Hop Queen got the Del Rio, three enchiladas. Her second meal was the quesadilla. All of the dishes had generous amount of filling, well above what most places give you. The burger was pretty big as well. The basket of chips that came with the Tex-Mex was extra large, and the chips were nice and fresh, hot like they were just made. The food is good enough we joked about getting a hotel room next door, so we could pig out for several meals! So I said we could go here as there's are good. So a party of about 12 went. Brother in law got the large portion and I got the small. Well the large was small and mine was tiny. It was about the size of a meat portion of a cheap tv dinner , over cooked and minimal flavor. My sides were squash and broccoli/rice casserole and they were dry like leftovers. Don't know if the reduced size of steaks were due to increased price of meat or short at end of day and vegetables were leftovers but have no desire to go back anytime soon

They found seating for our large group, and we had one of the most attentive, personable, and organized servers I've ever experienced. I wish I had gotten his name because he deserves all the recognition. We had four generations of family represented, and somehow he kept everyone's drink orders, straight, even the refills. He made sure every order was correct despite special requests and substitutions. He timed the appetizers and entrées perfectly, so no one was awkwardly waiting for their food, and he split all of our checks quickly and accurately. On top of all that, he managed to make friendly conversation and kept everyone in a celebratory mood the entire time. He was genuinely impressive. The food was just as enjoyable, the menu offered a variety so everyone found something they were excited to order. I had the cedar planked salmon with the most delicious bourbon glaze. We also shared the deviled eggs and the chips and dip which were both good. Even the chicken tenders got rave reviews from the young ones. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate PawPaws 90th birthday. Great food, exceptional service, and a wonderful experience for the entire family.

Our appetizer which was a long platter could not be sat in the middle due to uneven tables. But even before that I sat my tea glass and spilled the entire glass . The waiter who was present came back and only partially cleaned it up and didn't replace our napkins which we had used to hold back the tea. My son had to go get napkins to clean his side of the table and a puddle of tea was still on the floor when we left. My tilapia for the first time had a fishy taste and mine and my wife's matchsticks vegetables were very sour for the first time. I did not eat mine. My son's chicken Parmesan dish had a macaroni cheese noodles. Last of all I was going to use my InKind app to pay only to find you no longer use it. First time ever I was disappointed here. For dinner though, the chicken fried steak and philly had no complaints, but the grilled shrimp tacos and chicken sandwich were also bland and unappetizing. I did finish the tacos, don't get me wrong; add lime to it and it's better, but the shrimps were rubbery, the mayo they put on them was kind of too much as well. 104 dollars for all of this by the way. 104 dollars for bland food. Again, the service was great, I had fun, it was just the food. They also had a really cute cat outside that they fed and watered. This may just be my fault for ordering shrimp no where near an ocean, but I did end up getting food poisoning after eating there, almost immediately after eating actually. I don't know if it was the shrimp, or what really, but I spent from 6pm-3am sick after that dinner. I still am pretty sick, hopefully it'll go away soon, but please be warned.
