Everything about my initial review stands true - he is awesome to work with. Super communicative, punctual efficient, affordable, and high quality workmanship. We also had a small miscommunication that I thought was worth highlighting as the outcome was positive - after the quote process and once we already started work, we realized he thought I only need *one* stair re-finished rather than the whole staircase... However, he handled it perfectly - told me when he could be back to finish, and what the cost would be (clarifying that it wouldn't be the cost of the 1 stair x 13 more, thank god). Chris and his crew are a breath of fresh air in the home renovation space - I will undoubtedly be calling him again!

Since…read moreI was keeping all my original fixtures (bathtub, sink, toilet) my main concern was they wouldn't be scratched or harmed in any way. Fred had to remove the old wall tiles, sheetrock and marble flooring before laying new glass tiles and ceramic flooring. My fixtures were unscratched. Their work was perfect. Then after this perfect job was finished, we had a leak coming from the shower body behind the newly tiled wall. Fred came back and worked with the plumber to remove four glass tiles in the wall so the problem could be fixed. Then he replaced the tiles so miraculously, one cannot tell which tiles were replaced. Aside from his superior craftsmanship, Fred is responsive and communicative. He and his crew were neat, punctual and completed the job on time, without added expense. To book Fred, you need to set up with him four to six months in advance. He's in high demand.

Eddy is an extremely friendly person and reassured me multiple times & dealt with my very Type A demands. They quoted me a fair price, and even though they ran over the project time, kept in contact with me to finish everything. I totally understand that during COVID it was hard to get workers, and the construction business has been very busy, but the only piece of advice I would give to the business is to have a running to-do list or even maybe an assistant to help out with all the details that come with tailored renovations. Other than that, I'm very pleased and looking forward to future projects with them! The work itself was done flawlessly.

He took the money and did nothing -- no demolition, no construction, not even a permit filed (confirmed by our co-op management). Then he went silent. I told him my 83-year-old mother's health was declining, documented by her own physician, and that she couldn't safely be displaced for a renovation. I asked for our money back. He agreed on the spot -- then never paid. Months of silence forced me to hire an attorney just to get a response. Through counsel, he has already admitted, that he owes us this refund. My mother is 83 years old and sick, and this money is needed for her medical care. Yosef Tatik has known that since May. He has let a frail, elderly woman wait for months on a refund he has admitted owing her. He took our money, did not perform any work, and has shown no urgency or decency about giving it back. Do not trust this contractor with your money or your family!
