Tonight's pre-flight dinner: Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip in a waffle cone and a bottle of water. Truly the best $10 I've spent in weeks! Located next to Gate A13. Worth the walk. Best ice cream!!! Oh and super kind and courteous service!!! Really friendly pair working here tonight. Thanks for dinner!!!!

Black Raspberry Chip in a waffle cone and all is right in the world A must do when in Cincinnati Ohio

Graeter's is a classic that every ice cream aficionado needs to try. I am from Ohio and am obsessed with ice cream, so I am one of their biggest advocates. My grandpa also always reminds me of the time when Oprah held an ice cream judging contest (circa 2002?) and Graeter's came out on top. No surprise to anyone in Cincinnati! I live in Arizona now and I'm so grateful we have a few pints of Graeter's options available in our local Fry's grocery store (owned by Kroger!). Whenever I'm back home, a Graeter's trip is a must. Whether it's via the cool new drive through location in Jungle Jim's in Fairfield, the Crocker Park location in Cleveland, or the local Bexley scoop shop in Columbus where I first tried out Graeter's with my dad! The classic flavor (that you MUST try) is the Black Raspberry Chip. I also love Double Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chip and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Aside from being around for over 150 years, Graeter's is known for their mega massive chocolate chips in their ice cream. It's always a fun competition to see who in your party got the biggest chunk in their serving! All told, I rarely fly into CVG, but I wouldn't expect anything less than to have their own Graeter's for weary travelers to partake in. Bonus that this location also has a bakery and an assortment of Graeter's souvenirs for you to take home to your loved ones. Love it! Now we just have to figure out how to get a Skyline and LaRosa's in CVG. That would be the Cincinnati Trifecta!

What's not to love about Graeter's? If you need a travel treat, stop by for some local flavor- the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip and Buckeye are my favorites, available in a cup ($4.75 small) or huge waffle cone ($5). They also have coffees and various snacks, signage indicates donuts to be coming soon? Naturally I splurged for the cone, which was made fast and made my gate wait go quicker. There aren't a ton of options in this terminal, but you can definitely do worse.

Cincinnati is famous for cheese coney and Graeter's ice cream. Arriving back at the airport after short one night stay in the area, I was sad I couldn't try the famous ice cream (over 145 years of history for best handcrafted ice cream). I just had huge lunch, I was looking for bar to get a nice glass of wine. I was looking at the airport directory and saw "Graeter's".. My plan to get wine quickly changed and started cheerfully walking to the Graeter's ice cream stand. They are located near the gate A11. I stood in front of ice cream for what it seems like a long time. I had to make the most difficult decision of the day. I was already full from lunch so I only have room for one kind of ice cream. Chocolate chip or raspberry... I chose chocolate. For the next 30 seconds while I was eating my ice cream, I was in heaven. I fell asleep shortly after I finished eating my ice cream. I call this food coma. Good thing I was sitting at my gate A11. I woke up to noise of fellow passengers. No trip to Cincinnati is complete without Graeter's ice cream and they have a small kiosk at the airport terminal. Great way to end trip to Cincinnati! (Technically I never went to Cincinnati Ohio as I stayed on the Kentucky side). I highly recommend setting alarm clock before opening ice cream. It's that good and you may fall asleep like I did.

I will say first off, this reflects the airport location, which, I know from experience can always take a 5 Star place into a 1. I can't comment on parking as I was dropped off. I had a Cookies and Cream Sundae with hot fudge whip cream and a cherry on top. From first glance this $6.50 cent Sunday looked to disappoint as it was not even as high as the bowl they put it in (even with the mounds of whip cream) The cherry was good(stock maraschino) the whip cream was super whippey and creamy! The hot fudge was delicious just like store bought... the ice cream however tasted more of ice than cream. Maybe a bad batch? An old batch? But it tasted like that "frozen dairy treat" "ice cream" but more freezer burn. If I were you I would skip this place( at least the airport location)

    Oh the selection!

The Best ice cream you'll ever have. The Hyde Park location could use a facelift and more bakery goods.

An Advent calendar is essentially a countdown to Christmas beginning on December 1st and lasting until December 24th. There are 24 numbered "doors" or "windows" to open. Behind each one is a piece of chocolate (usually Christmas themed). Popping the chocolate into my mouth each year instantly brings me back to the best Christmases of my childhood. Typically, I opt for a more Christmas themed image, but being the Star Wars fan that I am, I was gifted with a Grogu stylized one from The Mandalorian. This particular calendar is distributed in the U.S. by Galerie Candy, and I believe the chocolate is made by Jean-Talon Chocolate in Canada. My only minor complaint is it seems like a wasted opportunity to not make the chocolates into various shapes from the Star Wars universe (ships, characters, weapons), they are instead the same shapes found in other Jean-Talon Chocolate Advent calendars. Luckily, that means they also have the same great nostalgic taste and are Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

I'm from AZ so Mexican food is a must and I'm cooking it more at home now that I've moved here. The butcher was impatient and not super helpful but I got what I needed and the cashier was very sweet. I love the spice aisle. I'll definitely be back to browse those to make a good enchilada sauce. I wish they had a few more marinated meat options but overall I'm happy with the meat selection. I look forward to trying the others for tacos, burritos and anything else to curb my Mexican food addiction. The price was also decent for what you get. I'll be back real soon!

But watch out, at peak times certain things like avocados fly out the door fast. You can also find somewhat rare produce like chayote and more well known like cactus, cactus fruit, and Calamondin Limes (this time of year right now). I also love it because they have tons of cuts of meat and the fresh peppers are always cheap. Stop in and surprise yourself with good meat that's fresh and affordable and some other great finds. The only thing I was a little disappointed with, you can only buy a VERY large can of hominy (any kind) no small cans here. I'm speaking restaurant size. I love making pozole but even that may be too much for me. Though technically hominy freezes well and I could recan it into smaller portions. So I may go back and nab some up. I see they also do prepare food but haven't gotten any of that myself. So not sure how to order that, but I never spend more than 15 minutes in the grocery. Anyway, you won't be let down, it's a great find! Oh and to help you find it on dream street, it's across from Chipotle's. Which I do hear that particular Chipotle's isn't very good, just an FYI.
