I decided to check out the taqueria based on a recommendation from an IG foodie. I ordered a fish taco & a torta. Both were ok, and they charged 3% for using credit card. I walked over to Village Produce to buy salsa because I heard the market is outrageously pricey. I'm glad I tried but I will not be returning. read more

2 dollars for a 16.9 oz bottle of Kirkland water is not right. If you're super rich you'll love this place. 4 dollars which is how much they wanted to charge me for 2 of them is egregious. I could get a flat of these waters for less than that at Costco. read more

The little Mexican restaurant inside the market is DELICIOUS! It was my first time going there tonight. I had the fish tacos which were the best I've had in Santa Cruz County--so fresh and the plate was dressed so appealingly. The others in my party had burritos which they very much enjoyed. So, so glad we gave this place a try. Service was polite and efficient, restaurant was very clean! Service in the market was also very friendly, and there was a nice variety of candy, snacks, ice cream, and beverages. Market itself was clean and well-organized. Thank you! I'll be back! read more

I went in to this market because I remember it when I went to Capitola school. The lady was nice who waited on me while she was shoveling in food in her mouth. Unprofessional. They had some old favorites of candy bars I love. Big hunk and Abba Zabba. They are so good. Just like taffy. By the time I bought a couple of each and a Rocky Road my total was $12. I almost fainted. I went ahead and bought them as a treat. I was telling her how the 76 Staion by me had the Abba Zabba too but they were stale and soft. Well, I got the same thing here on both the big hunk and Abba Zabba. Disgusted. Wanted to take them back and get my money, but I have been busy then sick. What a waste of money. What a rip off. I guess you can't trust any store now a days. Just go on Amazon. I have gotten them there. They are good. read more

Clerk was very nice - service was good. Pretty good variety of products, incidentals and snacks Great selection of wines, beers and spirits A little pricey but it IS a beachfront community. I think it's the smallest quantity of groceries I've ever bought for $72. It's a nice little store. It's a great small community and an EASY walk from our place. read more

We come here often to pick up a bag of ice for our cooler when heading out to the beach or going hiking. A bag of small bag of ice is about $7 This market is clean and well organized. They have cold drinks, sandwiches to go, snacks (trail mix, cookies, Costco muffins wrapped in plastic wrap). There is an endless selection of sundries. The customer service is good. It should also be noted they sell masks if you need one during this pandemic. This is a better then expected corner market with some quirky oddness to it. They have their own surface lot with room for seven to ten vehicles which is about six more then will ever be used here. Not a good idea to leave you car here and take off somewhere else though. This is a smaller shop with a limited selection. The snacks, cokes and sundries are totally not worth your time for the most part. The space for some reason has a full kitchen which was not in use on my visit but seems to be the source for the better then average sandwhichy/breakfasty burrito things. These are very popular and tend to sell out before noon. They do have very affordable coffee to go from santa cruz roasting-but the real amazeballs stuff is that liquor section. For some reason whoever set this place up has a very good selection of wine and local/craft beer. This place has a better selection of both then many liquor stores. Pricing can be high (convenience store pricing, yo. ), but there are some very affordable good verging on great wines here. It's a pretty good option for some higher quality grab and go hand held breakfast stuff, or if you are in the area and want a quality selection of adult beverages. read more

I visit the place often and I really like the clerks here. They are friendly and laid-back, as are the people running the sandwich/food counter. I usually buy soft-drinks, water and a few snacks, and their prices are a tiny bit higher than the closest liquor store, but the selection is better and the place is clean and well-lit. To avoid the 0.55 cent surcharge on my debit card I need to get about $10 worth of items, which can be a bit much. I try to grab snacks for the week and buy big jugs of water, that usually does the trick. I had a little salad from the deli and it was good, one day I'll try a sandwich. Oh yeah, once a lady gave me a sample of something, it was either gelato or frozen yogurt, in strawberry. Whatever it was it was good! Says on the outside that it's a restaurant but we walked in and the guy just said that they pre make sandwiches to sell but they have a full on kitchen. The name of the market changes so often I'm sticking with the old school name. Across the street from Gayle's Bakery, it offers an extensive wine selection, along with Asian dumplings and other delights to-go. The owner is very knowledgeable about all his products, which include mid-eastern items. He's also willing to discuss ordering wine you don't find on the shelf. Great place to pick up a lovely bottle of perfect wine, and take-out Asian food, and even a flower vendor outside. Give it a try! read more

The deli sandwiches are off the hook, and the guy that works the deli is a true master of the sandwich. You can tell he believes in his product and he treats it like the sandwich he is currently making will be the best sandwich ever created. I ordered a turkey and roastbeef sandwich the other day. As he was making it, I could hear him commenting and giggling to himself about how huge of a sandwich he just made. He was right, one delicious sandwich enough to feed two adults. Don't get me wrong this place is OK i guess. i mean there can be better in the Area. But here u have to watch out at the amount the say hey are charging you. they say one thing and then its diff the 2 time or 3 time you go and its the same thing. the guys in there are odd. When you get a soda say u the the 16oz bottle they try and charge u for the 20oz or what ever the next size is that's more. i mean really. Then they watch you the whole time you are in there like you going to steal something from them.Many times when waiting in line to pay they will talk to each other or the Guest they have over that are just hanging out. this guys who are the " new owners" or what ever he is. is rude. From them just over chairing people who are not really watching them . watch them! who knows Most of the time you have to ask them how many is this and i feel that they just make up a price in there head that is way over priced. one the candy they have at the counter like the small one. i had asked how much one said 15 cents i go the next on said 25 cent. OK know your prices! Then you go in and feel like they checking out you like if your good looking and want to hit on you. I feel so bad for all the reviews. My Uncle Bob(in a better place now), owned the buss. from about 2000-05? Anyways, I didn't work there the whold 5 yrs. but did for a good deal of time.
