We were ghosted. Thank goodness we had multiple estimates lined up. Grade A was our first to come out and I appreciated their responsiveness. We chose them specifically because they had a camera to inspect our lines. $600 later after some excavating to get to our distribution box and a camera down a line, I thought we had a plan. They stated they had a 2.5 week lead time and that they'd get me an estimate. Julie was responsive in stating that Nick was working on the estimate later that day, but once I asked for the video and/or pictures of the obstruction in the line (as they stated), and some alternative ideas, they disappeared. An estimate was never received. Was the request the reason? Did they just not want or need the job? That's okay, but be honest. Respond. Never leave a customer hanging, especially after the work they had completed.
Two weeks later, and we have a repaired system by another contractor. Was there an obstruction in the line, yes, but not where Grade A stated using their camera.
I'll leave it there, but there were other things that the repair contractor, who completed the work, stated that made me realize that Grade A septic was not thorough. Our repair contractor had alternative ideas. Is a septic system simple, yes, but once underground it gets complicated. I get that. And it might not surface until work is underway. I get that too...but never ghost a customer that you've actively engaged with. Be honest. A home is a prized possession and investment and the homeowner's time and money is to be respected. I was sad to have to leave this review, but wanted to make sure others contacted them with awareness. read more
