She softly chatted with my first bridesmaid while we were still waking up and as we all built energy - she matched our vibe every fun step of the way!! As my sister was getting her make-up done, my (now husband!) and I practiced our first dance and seeing Marissa's real-time reaction to our dance along with our small group of friends was SO. DAMN. FUN. All the while, she continued to flawlessly do hair and make-up! I have to highlight that my sister is typically hesitant to have professional hair and make-up done as she doesn't usually feel like herself. She often requests 'natural' and 'light' make-up, yet stylists typically go heavy - which is normal for photos/the industry. However, Marissa NAILED her make-up and her request and my sister said this was the very first time she'd ever received professional make-up where she genuinely loved her look. She said she felt like she was in her own skin, ~but glam. I loved my hair and make-up on the trial day, yet Marissa worked with me to make it ultimately PERFECT for the day of the wedding. We had lots of rain on our wedding day, and both my hair and make-up held up through all of it!! If you're considering La-Di-Da, Marissa is the best and will bring so much more than just great looks and hair to your day. The only reasoning for 4 stars out of 5 is for the price, it felt quite high per service. The quality was worth it in the end.

I always…read morethought "Sola" was a salon but there are actually many businesses inside-- Humble Bee Sugaring Studios is one of those businesses. I am in my third trimester of pregnancy and had a great experience with Brea. I had expressed that I was I was feeling a bit self-conscious and anxious and Brea helped me feel less so with her calm and professional manner. (Side note, she likes to read so I found talking about books with her to be a great way to distract myself). It sounded like Brea had waxed a number of pregnant ladies already in her waxing career so that was reassuring. I thought she did a phenomenal job. I swear it wasn't as painful as waxing for me in the past had been and I was really happy with the results. I had forgotten my jacket but the company even texted me so I could return and get it. Excellent service all around. I also really liked the studio. It was clean inside and there were a lot of cute signs and things to look at that fit with the bee theme. I do wish they could have decorated the ceiling somehow as that was mainly my view during the service-- perhaps a dangling bee garland would be cute? I will say I wish they had an extra curtain or partition of some sort (what are those called, a Japanese room divider?). You enter through a door and then they pull the curtain closed to cover the door. Maybe they could put one more curtain perpendicular to that one at the foot of the bed just to give a little bit more sense of peace of mind regarding privacy. Overall, I'd highly recommend getting sugar waxing done here. It's a very nice and clean place.

From the very beginning, she carefully listened to my concerns and quickly identified the areas causing my pain and discomfort. She explained why certain muscles were tight, where my body was out of alignment, and how everything was connected. The massage itself was amazing. Dina worked through all the tight spots in my back and neck with incredible skill, and I could feel the difference immediately. The best part is that my neck pain completely disappeared after just one session! Dina also gave me practical advice on stretches and habits to help prevent the pain from coming back. It's clear that she genuinely cares about her clients and wants to help them feel better, not just provide a massage. I came here after doing some research on extensions and figured if it was in La Jolla, I couldn't go wrong. I bought a groupon and contacted the salon to set up my appointment. I admit, the place can be hard but easy to find! By this I mean, mapquest took me through PB & some back roads with a several roundabouts only to finally see a sign for this place and once parked, found out it was the building. Good job on the sign with the arrows I parked on the street and walked in to meet Rachelle. I'm not sure if she's the only one who works here but this place was reeeeaaalllly small. Not what I had imagined. But nice nonetheless. I loved the interior and set up with crystals. The place relaxes you instantly. Rachelle was super nice & friendly. She gave me a glass of water and then got right to the point. We talked for a bit as Iaid there with my eyes closed not knowing exactly what was going on. I told her I wanted dramatic lashes, definitely "not" natural. And she offers different styles. I only wished that could have seen the styles as an example on other people or even seen the lashes themselves. I also would have liked being walked through it, rather than just laying there semi-worries with what exactly was happening, especially as my first time. But she was quick, and even after applying made sure I liked them and we're how they wanted before letting me go off to enjoy the rest of my day. The lashes were gorgeous. Not sure on the quality, as they don't look cheap but then again I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Thing is, I'm happy! I just wanna maintain them! :)

I would recommend her and definitely go to her again in the case of getting my lashes done. =) Thanks Rachelle!
