I must say, the establishment exudes serenity as soon as you arrive. The female (Cathy) at the front desk greeted me warmly and offered me something to drink. Since they didn't have coffee, I went ahead and had the life changing ginger tea. Took a moment to complete a bit of paperwork work being that it was my first time there. As soon as I was finished, I was greeted by my masseuse who provided me with a deep tissue massage upon request. To my surprise, the woman at the front desk (Cathy) performed my facial. Goes to show that everyone there is skilled and not just there to provide a pretty friendly face. She educated me on which facial products to use versus what not to use. Also, spoke about how beneficial the electrical currents are for your skin. One thing I would say would've been great was if my masseuse was a Male instead. I just feel that males can naturally apply more pressure without exerting much energy than a female can. With that said I primarily see myself returning here for a facial, vagacial, underarm wax, and body contouring. Especially since they offer so many services with discount offers.

I had thrown out my back the day before and was looking for a little bit of love for my lower back to help bring the inflammation down. She listened to my concerns and spent an hour really trying to work out the strain while being gentle on the areas that were causing me a lot of pain. She made me feel so relaxed and I appreciated how much time she spent really focusing on my lower back. I felt incredibly relaxed when I left and I'm recovering faster because of her massage. The location is super accessible to all trains, the massage tables are so soft, warm, clean and comfy and their overall presentation is clean and comfy. I didn't think this place was too small at all, I actually thought it was bigger than most. Loved Carmen, such a warm and gentle soul. I will definitely be back to get a massage from here because she was amazing and lovely.

And hubs agreed too. So if you're in town come see them. We were a walk in around 5pm. They weren't busy at all and we were the only customers. We got an hour couples massage for $60 each. The spa is cozy and smells amazing upon entering. Taken to a room with double beds and stripped down to our undies. Given a towel to cover ourselves. They knock then enter for the most amazing massage. They stretched us and massaged us in our needed areas. My shoulders and back were the main focus but he did massage my legs and feet also. I had been suffering from a migraine all day and I can say that within less than 2 minutes of being on his table it was gone! Poof! He did some pressure points on my neck and head which were the triggers of having it disappear. Great people, so friendly. Welcoming and professional. I have fallen asleep numerous times during the massages because I am so relaxed. Araina also makes it a point to ask if the pressure is too much during the massage. Araina not only consults with me about the physical pain that my body is going through but we also talk about stress, sleep schedules and fatigue. She is very knowledgeable about how I can address issues with my body, whether it be suggesting investing in a heating pad, providing me with sprays to help calm me before bed or giving me tips on where to buy backpacks so that the weight from the items in my tote bag can be more evenly distributed to not cause more back pain. My massages are the only thing I vow to do as a method of self care and I would highly recommend Araina!!

But after a stressful 100+ hour work week with very little sleep (and a lot of getting yelled at by my bosses), my boyfriend insisted that I do something nice for myself, and he somehow ended up sending me to Aimee for a little R&R. I was too exhausted by this point to protest, and it was in the 'hood, so I thought: Why not? What an incredible experience! I instantly felt 100% comfortable with Aimee; she immediately put me at ease over being a "massage virgin," and I felt no awkwardness at all while preparing for the massage. And then the massage itself: magical! To think that I used to equate having a massage with having one's flesh kneaded is ridiculous. She was able to discern exactly where I was most tense, and was able to work out that tension right away. To my amazement, the hour flew by ... but I wasn't ready for her to stop. I have never felt so relaxed in my life. All in all, this was an incredible experience that I can not recommend highly enough. Aimee is great, the location is super convenient, and the cost is imminently reasonable ... certainly worth every penny. To thank my boyfriend for the experience, I recently bought him an hour of heaven with Aimee as a holiday gift. I am sure we will be back many times in the future.

Totally inexperienced and unfortunately, it felt like one of my friend's kids was sloppily petting my back, TERRIBLE. So I politely asked her to get the owner and asked if I could stop at 30 minutes. As I walked out I could even breathe better... she knew exactly where I had tension and made sure to give extra deep pressure on those spots while also applying hot stones to extra tender areas. I've already booked another 60 minute with her for Wednesday. Went from the worst massage ever to the best massage all in one trip, ha!

Needed a manicure before a client meeting one day and…read moreeven tho I usually do one like once a month or once every two months I didn't have the time to fix chipped nail polish so I ran over here during my lunch hour. Service here is impeccable. They are thoughtful, kind, the ambiance and feel of this place is amazingly peaceful and it's super duper clean. All the things you need in a spa. They've even got some sort of sound proofing thing going on because whenever I've come here there hasn't been traffic noise - it's truly a peaceful oasis in an otherwise frantically crowded neighborhood. That being said, I've now come here a few times. My manicure have always been ooookaaaaaay. But I return because it's a wonderful experience. You lie down, there are comfy pillows, almost an eerie silence with very calming music playing overhead and it always smells lovely. It's a great way to spend a lunch hour and kind of recharge your batteries after a rough morning. This past visit (probably like my 5th or 6th - I don't always remember to check in) my manicure really wasn't okay. It was bad. I hate having to do things like ask for the nail file and file my own nail after someone makes it significantly shorter and files it into a crooked square shape...when I try to keep my nails a nice medium length (rather than short :-/) and I was clear about wanting a more rounded square. I had to fix a few after I was done...I also had to ask for my (very attentive) nail tech to paint the sides where she would miss a lot of my nail...having to fix some left some nails darker than others. She also did one coat of the deep blood red polish I chose and then a top coat. Any polish, especially darker colors require a minimum of 2 coats. This is pretty common nail polish knowledge. She was so nice and I was nice about it but after paying and getting to my office I was pretty horrified at how my nails looked. They were all really weird. Lots of marks, lots of unnecessary thickness, some air bubbles - I was pretty upset. There's also usually a brief complimentary back rub done afterwards which is a really nice treat and something I got used to the previous times I've come here which makes the experience worth coming back for considering every mani I've had here has been ooookay. Yesterday's was not okay. There are photos. Today I've got two nail polishes where the polish has chipped from just typing at work...my normal Astoria spot manicures generally last me 3 weeks. I'll probably return sometime for a couples massage or something as I mentioned my fondness for this place to my husband, but I don't know if I'd come back for another manicure. I don't do my nails that often and I need consistency...plus it hurts to spend money on something that's meant to treat myself and the final result is something I could have done to myself 100% better. I felt like I had to kind of hide my hands during my client meeting. Again, I've had good experiences here and not let frustrated so 3 stars for A okay. Ooookaaaay.

The entire team went ABOVE and BEYOND to make my second experience pristine! They were apologetic and accommodating. My return was met with concern and an eagerness to provide excellent care. I can't stress how much they apologized and it felt so sincere. Sometimes you get poor service and people make excuses or worse than that, don't acknowledge your concern at all, but that was definitely not the case here. I appreciate Mi Ra for being so sweet and supportive & big shout out to the manager, Sung for truly caring about my experience! Thank you guys again!!! In a few days my face will be better.
