I called and explained what the problem was with the toilet They came right away (even on a Sunday Morning) Ian was knowledgeable and his service was excellent. He pulled up to the house came right in and assessed the problem immediately. He fixed the problem, and I could not have been more grateful. read more

My bathtub faucet was not working, called Grace Plumbing, spoke to Kevin, he stated that they charge $175 to diagnose and it will be deducted from the total bill once work is done. Ian came over, fixed the faucet in like 10 minutes, he asked for $425. I advised him that Kevin stated that I should deduct the $ 175 from the total of the $425 so I should pay only $250 ( Not a bad pay for less than 10 minutes work!). Ian insisted that the total is $425 and he could deduct only $20 if I leave a good review, he added that he called Kevin and that he was told that the total is $425! Do not hire this company unless you are a billionaire! read more

Called on a toilet that's had a water hammer since we moved in a year ago. Was told it would be $175 to diagnose, but it would be applied to the cost. New homeowner, so didn't know much about cost, but did research and saw that it's normally $200-$400/hour. Budgeted $500 as worst case scenario. Started losing water pressure in another bathroom and had minor kitchen sink drip, so added that. Worker was more than a half hour late and hadn't called to say so. He initially said that the drip was a faulty cartridge we could order for free from Kohler ( we had done so before), and water pressure was just dirt. Assured me that the pipes were good, and that the toilet was minor valve replacement. Didn't quote a cost, but said that he could start right away, so I didn't think to ask (dumb!) Ended up removing some dirt from the sink to fix the pressure, removing debris from other sink to fix drip, and replacing valve in about an hour. Told me that it was $575 with I believe $25 off, if I left a 5 star review (so $750 to fix 3 minor issues in an hour?!) I was alone in the home and felt awkward arguing, so I paid him. Later realized I had been massively overcharged. Ended up having sewage backup a few weeks later, and a different plumber charged less than $500 for nearly 2 hours of work and having to get on the roof! Pressure in shower and sink is STILL low, so the fix didn't even work. Would be happy to take this down and leave a good review if they would fix the pressure issue without charging me again, as I feel I far overpaid for the work done. read more

I would like to personally thank Grace Plumbing for helping us out in a crunch. Even last minute they were able to come out and fix the problem. Ian from Sunshine Plumbing came out and fixed the problem in a short time. Both Grace Plumbing and Sunshine Plumbing are very lucky to have Ian. He was nice, knowledgeable and avery hard worker. Thanks again Ian for all of your help. I highly recommend Grace Plumbing for any fixes. Thank you guys. read more

Hot water heater overheating. Call them and I'm told they need to rebuild it. Asked why a rebuild. "All the parts work together, cost is $325." And that's without even taking a look at it. Informed the fellow the elements don't need to be replaced because we have LOTs of VERY HOT water. He insisted that is what is needed. I relented because I needed it done ASAP, then was told someone would be out the next day. Get a call late mid-morning the next day from the guy who was supposed to come out. Asked me what model it was so I told him. "That's a very old water heater". Said he was at the supply store to get parts so he needed to know the model. I then told him I didn't need a rebuild I needed a repair, likely a thermostat. He laughed at me so I told him to forget it, i.e. don't come out (they haven't even asked my address at this point). Hung up on him, called Ken's Plumbing, Tim was out at 4:00 the next day, tested elements, both good. One thermostat bad, but I had him replace both while he was there. Took 30 minutes, cost was $119.59. Don't call the yokels at Grace. I bet they take advantage of a lot of elderly people. Scam artists. My major was electrical engineering, repaired a lot of high tech scientific equipment in my years. Never did a "rebuild" due to a failed component. read more

Grace Plumbing came to fix a leaky toilet in a Condo i own. I was out of town at the time my son was there. I talked to them on the phone. They called me and told me it would be 425.00 which is super high but i agreed because i was out of town and needed it fixed ( my first dumb mistake ) I gave him a credit card # over the phone (my second dumb mistake ) they charged me almost 800.00 . I called the man that did the work and he said to late now to me.He was there for 1 hour. The part cost under 20.00 . I have called many plumbing companies i could have gotten it done for under 200.00 very shady company. I am looking into legal help with this please don't make my mistake. These guys are strange in the way they conduct their business, we got a notification from our municipality that our monthly water consumption was much much more than it had been in our last billing quarter. We enlisted Grace plumbing to help us out, after talking to their representative he said he would come out and do a leak detection to the tune of $400 but most likely it gone be a slab leak. They came out the next morning and proceeded with the leak detection with a fancy electronic detector, after 30 min he pinpointed the leak under the slab near the east side of the outer wall. Estimated re- pipe would be $5500 however he could do on the side for $4500 . I reluctantly paid the $400 and told him I would reach out to him the next day. Well I called another local plumbing company and the their total price to resolve our issue was $125.00 one of our outdoor hose bibs was leaking pretty bad, ( I ask Grace plumbing if they checked that and he said that he definitely did) he shut it off and capped it problem. Guys like this make it so hard to trust the trades. Beware!!! read more

QUICK RESPONSE AND GOOD SERVICE. Would recommend this company to those who need plumbing works.

John was very nice and addressed all my issues. Didn't leave a mess and fixed my toilet very quickly. I was very happy overall with the service. Will call again if I have further plumbing needs. read more

Very disappointed with Grace Plumbing's service. Kevin charged me more than $1800 for cleaning a clogged toilet. But the same problem showed up again in 15 days. Instead of coming to take a look again, he blamed renters misusing it. Fortunately, another company helped me find the problem and removed the tree roots growing into a broken pipe with 1/5 of the cost. I will never use Grace Plumbing again. read more

John came out the next day (non emergency). He addressed the problem right away and resolved the issue in under an hour.

Called to have some pipes capped, they said just to come out it would be 495 dollars, I declined. Then they called a few minutes later and they asked how much I would consider paying, I said 100 dollars, and they said not worth it and hung up. Horrible unprofessional. read more

Yesterday we had a major leak in our garage that spilled into our master bathroom. We called 2 plumbers who said they couldn't come out on such short notice. Grace sent Terrance who was a Godsend! He not only promised to come out but he actually arrived 15 minutes ahead of time! The consummate professional; not only did he fix the leak, but he took the time to explain what happened and even contacted someone to fix the drywall after the repair. Thank you Grace for outstanding service, comfort and professionalism during our time of need. We definitely will be calling you if ever the situation arises (just promise to send Terrance again). I was hopeful after my initial phone call and looked forward to a free second opinion on a leak that was most likely under the slab. Things quickly changed and I was left very disappointed with extremely high pricing and a poor customer service experience but I rushed the decision because I wanted to get this nightmare over with ASAP. After the fact, I spoke with several other local plumbers, all of whom were in shock that I paid approximately $2200 for leak detection and a slab leak that took a few hours to repair. Many local companies have flat rates of approximately $500 for slab leaks, $750 after hours. Never rush a plumbing repair. Call around. Take time to research costs. Lesson learned. Hind sight is 20/20. read more

We called this company. All they were interested in was our insurance. Then we stated getting a bunch of calls from recovery company's. Don't call these people. They wanted a bunch of money up front also. read more

They originally charged my daughter 1097.00 to replace a sink! After I discussed it with them they removed the 400.00 "leak detection" fee! So we paid 697.00 to replace a sink that could not have cost more than 100.00 and a faucet that could not have been more than 100.00. 400.00 labor charge to replace a sink! They saw a single woman and took advantage of her. I would never recommend them to any one, ever. What a rip off. read more

My wax seal on my toilet broke causing water to leak into my walls and leak through the ceiling. The same day I called they came out and did leak detector technology to locate the source of the leak. They also sent out a company to do the water damage control (at no cost to me, insurance pays for it) and that company was really helpful and came out within the hour. I would highly recomend using this company. I contacted them because of all the great reviews they had, and now I can see why. Great company! Highly recomended! read more

Please do not hire Grace. Grace caused a disaster for us. A while back, we had a leaky sink and called Grace. While Grace acted like she was very capable, she was not able to repair the leaky sink after an entire day on the first day. Grace decided to return 5 days later. Meanwhile we could not use our sink and you can imagine how difficult it can be. By the evening of the second day, Grace finally admitted she was not capable of fixing the leaky sink and needed to have another plumber come to the rescue. At this time, the sink leaked a lot more and in fact water was pouring down. Grace had drilled permanent holes in our counter around the sink that can not be fixed until we replace the entire counter. Grace's plumber friend came over and finally repaired the sink by the midnight on that day. However, the permanent damage that Grace caused to our counter and sink will cost a lot more money to repair. Please do not hire Grace. read more

Experienced, Polite, Hard-Working, Willing to Explain & Answer Questions--that's the quick summary of my encounter with Grace Plumbing. Found them on yp.com and recognized the name from a job they did 12 years ago. Called them first thing in the morning when our house sewer line backed up. 20 minutes after I left message, Kevin returned my call, and his team was at the house 2.5 hours later. Terence was polite, efficient, willing to explain and answer questions. Their diagnosis required the county involvement to resolve issue. Kevin told me what to say and request and gave me great information. Orange County Utilities team came (they earned a good review also-prompt, thorough, professional, polite). Turned out I still needed a plumber - County camera revealed tree roots in our house sewer line. Day 2- Terence, Nelson, & Anthony arrived a few minutes ahead of appointment time and tackled the job- getting to broken pipe section through tree roots, replacing section and closing hole, etc. Excellent work, efficiently done, good interaction and information as job progressed. Thanks, men! read more

At the end of the day, I was not happy and feel I was taken for a ride. Extreme over charging and indicating problems that did not exist.

I had a leaking toilet pipe right at 5:00 pm. I knew I would pay after hours rates to anyone who came out. I called 2 companies, and Kevin at Grace was able to get to me the soonest. I texted him a photo of the issue and he was able to quote the price over the phone. Very professional. read more

Very nice and quick response. Everything was great until the bill. Original quote was $250 to replace shower cartridge (Which seemed high but I needed it done). Man accidentally broke the handle and charged me an extra $50 to go to HD and replace (part was no more than $20). Not one to give reviews at all but they gave me $15 off for it. Shower works though! read more

I do not recommend using them. They wanted to charge 4 times what it actual cost to fix the issue i was having and charge $100 just to come out to point out where the leak was even though i told him where the leak was. Biggest rip off. I highly recommend Gembecki Plumbing! read more

Grace Plumbing is risky business. My wife and I had just bought a house a few months ago, and had a leak in our toilet. We called a few plumbers in the area and Grace's was the first to call back. The owner said he would send his worker over to our house. When he got there he looked at the leaking toilet and 2 others, our inspector said they all needed to have the guts replaced. The guy (whose name I'm forgetting now, months later) said he would give us "a deal" and replace the guts in all 3 toilets for just $900. We are first time home buyers and didn't know anything about plumbing pricing so we said okay, he "fixed" the leaking toilet that day and said he would come back to fix the other two another day. He charged us around 300 for that first toilet and said we could pay him for the other two when he came back. Well, when we told our parents how much we paid, they told us to call someone else and get another estimate. We called Pro Craft Plumbing, and the plumber came and fixed the other two for less than the price of that one toilet. They also looked at the toilet Grace's plumbing "fixed" and showed us it was a mess inside, not to mention the toilet was constantly running. Pro Craft recommended we call back Grace's plumbing and have the guy come and fix it for free. After the owner screamed at me on the phone and hung up, he called back to say he'd send his guy back out. The plumber came back to "fix" the toilet, it is now MONTHS later and it is still running due to a damaged gasket from overtightening. As I'm writing this review, that toilet is running. Not only did they swindle us out of a lot of money, they were rude and unprofessional; I would not recommend their services to anyone. read more
