George's price for replacing my furnace and A/C system was literally half what the warehouse store wanted--and I've deduced how he manages to be so competitive: Once on site, he never stops working! To start this , I called to have the service i paid for fixed . They gave me the round around and then said 'any review i leave will be taken down ' their words . I had a service done in March 2026 , prior to Summer rush . The system was low on gas so it was topped up. Yes it worked for 3 days ,but once again it ran hot (than cool) ,I called and they said they didn't warranty their service work as it may have a leak ...well isn't that what i paid you for to check the system ? the Gas didn't disappear it leaked out ! I called another company they came out , found the leak (bad o/ring) easy see it had been leaking and was replaced within 45mins. The whole experience was horrible and I would jope none of you use this company as there is many out their that stand behind their work or at least their morales read more

We have a rental property in Huntington Beach with a furnace not working. I called another company I had used in the past who determined it was a faulty main gas valve. They wanted to charge me $2250 parts & labor. I looked up the part on Grainger and other sources and found that at most was a $500 part. I wasn't going to pay $1750 in labor. They were grossly overcharging for the repair. I found GP Heating & Cooling through a plumber I know. I'm so glad I called them. The valve was replaced for $850 parts & labor. I have an older AC unit that has been pieced together throughout the years something different always seems to go wrong right in the middle of a heatwave. I've had GP heating and cooling out three or four times in the last five years it's never a previous repair that goes wrong always something new. This week I called GP heating and cooling at the end of the day. The AC was starting to blow warm they finished their scheduled day and came out afterwards that same day. George replaced a thermostat for my parents home a couple of years ago. I remembered he was a straightforward honest guy so when my AC quit in this heat wave I contacted him on a Saturday night. Actually got a response that he could come out the next day! He showed up and did some system checks based on the computer error code. Could not find any issues so he reset the computer to see if it threw the code again but to my luck it started running without throwing a code! George explained everything to me (including how I could reset the computer on my own) and only charged me for a service call! He was concerned about the error code but since all the other components checked out he just said to call him if I have any further issues. What can I say, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

Our 30 yr old upstairs AC unit leaked and water came through the ceiling. Called a company that sends out letters regularly. Never ever ever had a problem that George (the owner) could not fix. HIs helper (Ivan) was excellent as well. My brand new unit was literally 'brand new' in it's system design. Some sort of environmental thingy. Well George was on the phone with the manufacturer over and over again to get to the bottom of what was wrong. Turns out it was the BTU factor that needed to be dialed in. This is noted on my gas bill. That was what he needed to fine tune the burner. (I was sure that it was the thermostat) Go figure. I thought you just turn it on and it works. Well that was the old days I suppose. Not many if any 'pros' would have gone to all that trouble to fix a brand new machine that had brand new workings (Cal. code in a small area of the state of all things). After another HVAC company who trolled me at Lowes for a "tune-up" on my system said my system was a disaster and needed total redesign and replacement, I called George to take a look. George and Ivan installed the system 8 years ago, nothing was a disaster then, and I trusted George's opinion. The only thing the other company was truthful about was the ducting. It's an old house and had asbestos wrapped, and poorly routed, ducting. George offered a couple of options, and because his prices are very reasonable I upgraded our two-story house to zoning. Once the asbestos abatement team finished, it only took about 3 days for George and Ivan to install new ducting (with balance dampers), zoning with 3 actuators, new thermostat upstairs, and add a new duct in the upstairs walk-in closet. George also generously fixed all the damage the other company left behind after "tuning up" the system. The system now works better than new. George and Ivan are pros at HVAC, trustworthy and reliable, work hard and professionally when on site, and leave virtually no trace during and after the job. Highly recommended! read more

A huge THANK YOU to George and Ivan for taking time out of their extremely busy day yesterday to drive all the way from North Orange county to South Orange county to determine why my vents were blowing hot air. We had not had air-conditioning for about 48 hours and it got up to 91° inside the house at 10 PM the night before they came to do the repair. Absolutely horrible service. I called first thing this morning to ask if they could come today. I tell him my air is not working, I live in a condo where the unit is in the attic, and is hot as can be. George says he can fit me in at 2pm. I was so grateful. 2pm comes around, George calls and says he is going to be late - around 4pm. I tell him no problem and thank him. George shows up at 4:30pm. I tell him again that it is in the attic. He grabs some tools, comes inside, looks around for 2 minutes, goes outside to get his ladder, and his phone rings. After his call he tells me he can't fix it today and wants to come tomorrow or Tuesday. I told him I can't tomorrow just as I did on the phone. He says he can't do it today because he has to help another client. What am I? Aren't I a client? Goes back into my house, grabs his tools and leaves. Doesn't even look at the unit. Doesn't even give me five minutes of his time to see if he can fix it quickly. Does NOTHING!! And he was rude towards me. It is so hot in this house. If he had told me on the phone he couldn't do it I would have totally understood. But to have me wait for him to show up and turn around and leave. Very unprofessional. I will never call these guys again, and have warned the person who referred them to me. CANNOT COUNT ON THEM!! read more

Just had George and his technician perform service on my A/C. Both seemed nice and friendly, but when it came to the bill and me asking for the $25 off as advertised in the phone book. George's character quickly changed. He actually misquoted the ad, so to avoid giving the discount. I got the ad and showed it to him, then he just said that he couldn't (wouldn't) do it. What he charged was the minimum required for the $25 off, but he was not a man abiding by the company's written word to include the discount. That was disturbing to me. Further, he sent his techie back to the house with the bill and did not bother to come in himself. Disappointed with the lack of courtesy and character switch. I must look for honesty and integrity elsewhere. read more

I called George to check an air conditioner that was not cooling. My wife had also called another firm. The other firm told her they would have to replace the unit at a cost of at least $1500. George pressurized the lines and then came back and checked to find that there was no pressure loss. He then purged and recharged the system and found a problem with a filter that was restricting air flow. It had been there since the unit was installed. George's diligence and thoroughness saved me more than $1000, and the system works perfectly. I highly recommend GP. read more
