The space was perfect for the teens, it has several full size video games and a pool table inside as well. I ta has no real kitchen, but does have a refrigerator. My only gripe is there was no place to put the extra tables we were not using, so they were constantly visible. I was a little overwhelmed by all the" rules" of the place, but understandably so. That part stressed me out. I would definately rent again but a 2 day rental instead so I could take my time cleaning up and completely enjoy the party without worrying about the time.

Upstairs, the Ballroom was used in the old days for special social events, especially during the '30's and '40's. That is where our event was held and it was a really roomy space. Loved the well kept hardwood floors and the plaster friezes and frescoes of cherubs and musical instruments that adorn the 20-foot ceilings. This grand room, with its birch floors, is painted in warm, rosy tones to evoke a sense of well being, a priority during the "Gay Nineties". At night, it is nicely lit up.

We managed a makeshift to go bag but can't understand why they were willing to throw it out rather than have them take it home to be eaten by dogs.

It set the tone for what ended up being a very uncomfortable meal. The organization of the brunch was extremely poor. All tables were seated and then released at the same time, which created complete chaos. There was no direction, no clear flow, and no communication. Two lines formed for the buffet, but there wasn't nearly enough space to accommodate everyone. At the carving station, both lines collided and people had to awkwardly cross over each other just to access different items. The food itself was also underwhelming. Several of the vegetables were undercooked, and overall the quality did not meet expectations for a holiday brunch. To add to the frustration, I asked for milk for my mom's coffee (she can't have cream), and after about 10 minutes, we were told there was no milk anywhere in the building. The staff was attentive, warm, organized, and completely on top of everything all day. The biggest standout was the food. It was a brunch setup and every single thing was delicious - chicken and waffles, the best catered eggs I've ever had, pasta, salmon, and bacon I'll never forget. Huge shoutout to Dean for arranging everything and absolutely crushing the food and overall experience. I had friends and family come in from all over the country and everyone left impressed and in love with Rhode Island. I keep saying I just need to get a boat and become a member hahaha. The event is free and open to the public, registration not required. There was a sign on Westminster Street indicating the entrance. The Pavilion at Grace Church exhibited iconic photographs taken by the late Life Magazine photographer David Lees that document the flood in Florence in 1966 and the Providence Journal photos of downtown Providence after Hurricane Carol in 1954. The photographs were dramatic and memorable of each city underwater. There were plenty of space to walk around and take in the photos.
