The space was perfect for the teens, it has several full size video games and a pool table inside as well. I ta has no real kitchen, but does have a refrigerator. My only gripe is there was no place to put the extra tables we were not using, so they were constantly visible. I was a little overwhelmed by all the" rules" of the place, but understandably so. That part stressed me out. I would definately rent again but a 2 day rental instead so I could take my time cleaning up and completely enjoy the party without worrying about the time.

There is also a stage here that can be used by community groups for plays and concerts. My daughter used to take dance lessons here. The organization that owns the building has monthly breakfasts and the monies raised go to charity as well as other fund raising events. Keep an eye on the local paper for dates and times. I want to give a huge shout-out to an amazing employee at Southwick Zoo…read more Late Sunday afternoon, I got a flat tire near the zoo. My hybrid doesn't have a spare, and the tire inflator that came with the car wouldn't work. I was stuck and wasn't sure what I was going to do. A man named Ryan pulled over and offered to help. He told me he works at Southwick Zoo. He grabbed the jack and tools from his truck, took my tire off, plugged the hole, and put everything back together. When I offered to pay him for his time and kindness, he politely refused. In a world where we often hear about the negative, I think it's important to recognize people who go out of their way to help complete strangers. Ryan's generosity, skill, and willingness to stop and help made a stressful situation so much easier. Southwick Zoo should be proud to have someone like Ryan representing them. Thank you, Ryan, for reminding me that there are still genuinely good people in this world.

I had come here once before, so I was prepared to walk and came with a water bottle since it's a…read morebig zoo. I don't remember the entrance being as expensive as it was: $38 per person but as a AAA member we scored a $2 discount each. There were three free shows/ presentations going on that day, which were posted on a big dry erase board: bird show, sloth talk, and an earth discovery creature feature. We made 2 out of 3 of them. My favorite was the bird show where they brought out 6-8 unique birds and each of them did a trick for the crowd, all while the trainers gave us fun facts about them. They had bleacher seating so very comfortable show. At the end, they had one bird who could take your money (voluntarily) and put it into a box with its beak. The money was going towards a good cause, so I donated. The sloth talk was also cool. We got to hear interesting facts about sloths and watch the sloth eat their lunch. They were also doing a Frozen skit / play for the kids when we arrived and it was pretty good and kept the kids there engaged. They have a great selection of animals throughout the zoo including large ones like rhinos, giraffes, tigers, and lions but also smaller ones like pigeons, ravens, parakeets, and prairie dogs. I did not go on / into any, but they have an overhead lift you can ride, zip lining, and a maze (not free). There is also a petting and feeding area with goats. One thing I remember there being was a deer park but I think it was closed off this time which was a bummer. For the most part, the zoo is shaded. They also have gift shops, snacks/drinks, and bathrooms throughout the park. We spent about 2.5 hours there, but might've missed a couple animals. The staff is friendly and helped us find our way around. There is a map and it's pretty good but we were just running low on time to make it to one of the events.

Very unprofessional since day 1…read more We had an appointment to check the place out and the owner nabely did not pay us much attention because she was "busy", and she did this at every appointment but we decided to go with the place because it was beautiful and had everything we needed. So we thought. we Went with the smallest package because I wanted to decorate myself. she said " your wedding is destined to fail" because I didn't wanna pay the extra $4000 just for her to decorate?? she said the oven came with the hall Then days before my wedding she told me the racks in the oven were gone because someone else rented them. So we had to Buy some. months before the wedding I told her in great description what tables i Wanted to use and how I want them set up. Day of the wedding comes along and she has the completely wrong tables out which messes up my whole seating chart so I had to have my family run around and move all the tables around, decorate and coordinate with the caterer. Thankfully they got it all done in time. Some things were messed up because they didn't have enough time due to the tables. my bridesmaid had to get dressed in the bridal sweet because she was nice enough to help set Up and the bridal sweet had a window wide open and Everyone could see her dressing if they walked by. ??? day of coordinator/owner Jason was on point the whole wedding made sure I had what I needed but at the end of the night when my family was done cleaning up he said " okay now get the fuck out my building". i would not recommend this place to my worse enemy.
