There was a lot of selection to choose from. I got the lunch special broccoli beef. The lunch special came with sweet & sour soup with crispy noodles (on the side). The service was fast and friendly. They brought the entree out quickly and included the broccoli beef, fried rice, and choice of ragoon, wanton, or egg roll. The food was delicious and portions were perfect with no leftovers. There were 3 of us eating lunch and with drinks, the Bill only came to $27. Good food, excellent prices! read more

We've been eating at this restaurant since I was around 6 years old, nearly 30 years. Charlie is always happy and smiling when we walk in the doors and their food is unmatched for Chinese cuisine locally. I've never had a bad meal here. They could use an overhaul as far as replacing furniture, carpet and aesthetics go. But I think I'd miss all the familiar scenery. Weekday lunch specials are cheap & filling. My family and I have frequented this place for over twenty years; I even attended elementary thru high school with the owners' two sons. Yes, the interior is dated. There's also a faint smell of acetone from the nail salon next door that often wafts through the ventilation system. However, it has no affect on the food. We consistently place to-go orders over the phone and enjoy their Fried Rice, Lo Mein, Egg Foo Young and soups from the comfort of our couch. We popped in based on reviews, some said good, some just okay. I'm now on the fence with everyone else! The service was really good, very spot on. The owner/manager did stop and ask if we were enjoying our food. Everyone was just so nice, I liked that. As far as the food, it was very middle of the road Americanized Chinese food. We had Sweet and Sour Chicken from the lunch special, plus we added appetizers. The prices are really reasonable, as are the portions (No leftovers to box up and accidentally leave in my car haha). The lunch specials include Hot and Sour soup, the entree, fried rice and an egg roll for under $7. We also had Pot Stickers and Crab Rangoon. My only real complaint was my egg roll was way over cooked. I can overlook that when the Hot Sour soup is so dang delish and comes with fried Wonton for crunch! One reviewer mentioned the condition of the dining room and they were right, it needs some love. The music speaker crackles and the upholstery needs repairs. But this seems like a working class, fast lunch, good food on a budget place and they've got that covered! read more

Great food and friendly service. Can't beat table service during a pandemic. I'm thankful for small businesses. Keep of the good work and serving great food. We ordered the honey chicken, broccoli and beef and egg rolls. The shrimp soup was delicious and a nice surprise. Even in the Texas summer heat, it will hit the spot. Small little restaurant on the east side of Sherman. Easy to miss but once you've been there, you will not forget it. We will return. read more

New in town and I have Found my new fix for good Chinese Food. The portions are of great size for the prize and very tasteful non chain like restaurant. They have a good variety of food entrees only thing missing is some pics on the menu but other than that it was great. I came down on a Wednesday afternoon more like 5:30pm and it was not busy at all. I wanted to give it a shot being new to the area and i was not disappointed, I've ate at similar places in Washington state, California, Florida and other states. I can honestly say that I will continue to come here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to sit and eat Gourmet Chinese food. Plenty of seating and they do to go. read more

Just the fact that as soon as I was greeted at the door it was nice. Not sure if it was the owner who sat me down but it was nice. The food. That is also good. It was good portions. And it was all cooked to perfection. Not to mention the fact that it came in boxes and not foam to go boxes with all the juice dripping out. So all and all I give this place a 5 and it is my new favorite spot for chinese take out. read more

Against my better judgement even after I read all the reviews being lazy and not wanting to drive to Plano for Chinese food I came here BIG MISTAKE. First off to you people who gave this place 5 stars I'm going to guess you've never been to an authentic Chinese restaurant!! I called in an order had never been to any Chinese restaurant in Sherman and will never again! This food is horrible the Lo-Mein OMG I spit it out it tasted so bad I can't even tell what is a noodle it's so mushy from all the oil and the canned Mushrooms top off the horrible dish!! Orange Chicken I ordered had garlic and green onions with no orange peel at all. I think they may have given me Kung Pao Chicken instead. I would retry it, but I just have a bad feeling it will wind up in disappointment again. However the place was really clean and the staff were very nice. I just think I got given the wrong food. This is one of our most enjoyable places to eat. The hot and sour soup and sesame chicken is what we always order when we go to see Charlie, the owner. We want to go where everybody knows our name and Charlie does. This is not a chain restaurant, but locally owned and operated. And Charlie supports the Sherman Rotary Club too!! read more

Our family of 9 came here for a birthday celebration. All of the food was amazing, and we all loved it. The General Taos chicken was so crispy and delicious. Family owned... service was not what I was expecting but I guess if you been doing it for as long as they have some things go out the window. We got a wave to come on back as we entered the door. Then she put the menu down and walked off without greeting or welcoming. We received one straw with two drinks ( I knew I should have brought my scissors ). The meal itself was pretty good. The only reason I got the Sweet and Sour Chicken was because it had pineapples included it... had I know it would be Two pineapples.. T w o.. pineapples.. the size of my pinky nail in the whole dish I would have chosen the other meal I was leaning towards. I am new to this area so i thought I'd try out the local Chinese food available for delivery. It was terrible. I ordered the general Tso chicken, sweet n sour pork and fried rice. It took about 20 mins to get to me. It was awful. They had forgotten the sweet n sour sauce, and both the chicken and the pork was so tough, chewy and stringy that i couldn't eat it. The Generals chicken tasted burned and i can only imagine it had been sitting for hours in some warming tray. The rice was ok. But it too tasted like it had been sitting for hours.
