I waited 3 weeks for Dr Gottron only to be called 2 days prior that he was not going to make it for my appointment. I told the staff that I actually had 4 medical issues to discuss with him and that this was not my normal annual visit where I usually say, "Yes, everything is fine." I wanted to keep the appointment, if possible, even if it was with another medical professional in his office. I was assigned to the PA, which is great. When she entered the room and reviewed what I had just gone over with the health assistant who took the weight and blood pressure, she informed me that I had 15 minutes, so I should start with the most important issues first. Is this quality care? Really??!! That's my introduction to a new HCProfessional? I should have gotten up and left the office because it went downhill from there. I left frustrated, disappointed, and angry. If this is our healthcare system of professionals, maybe we should all invest in the medical version of ChatGPT and buy the "doctor kit in a box" that is currently being advertised on TV. ChatGPT asks me more questions than she did--Probably because my 15 minutes included the time to type in my record. I will find another PCP. In full disclosure, I have always found the office staff to be courteous, professional, and timely. They respond to emails and requests for prescription refills promptly and professionally. I appreciate Dr Gottron, as well, but I will not run the risk of having to deal with his substitute again, and honestly, waiting for 3 weeks was a bit too long to wait. read more
