I went to Dr. Levine as my pcp and gyne for a couple of years…read more When I was having regular migraines out of the blue, she said she didn't know why, and said they probably weren't migraines (they were localized headaches with an aura and vomiting). She prescribed me an antidepressant, with no other follow up to try and determine the cause. I didn't like the drug, so I tapered off of it. At my next appt, she just shrugged her shoulders and didn't offer any other tests or solutions, than to say it might be an allergy. (After about 2 years, the migraines stopped as suddenly as they started.) I had a mole removed that she said she wasn't going to bother sending for biopsy, even though it had become itchy and reddish. Then the kicker was when I went in after having menstrual spotting every day for over a month. I told her that my periods had always beem highly irregular (I was in my late 20's at this point) and that despite not using an sort of birth control regularly, I had never gotten pregnant. She said that it sounded on paper like PCOS but that she wasn't going to test me for it because I don't "look like" I have it. Then she said I probably can't have kids, and that's that, and sent me out thw door to schedule my next routine appt. I did not schedule another appointment. A couple of years later my husband and I started trying to have a kid. I skipped the ob-gyn and went straight to a fertility specialist. Not only was I immediately diagnosed with PCOS that I've likely had since puberty, but the years of not being diagnosed and treated for it had lead to a precancerous endometrial growth. The best thing I ever did for my health was to find a different doctor.

However, Dr. Levine is an engaged, patient physician who took the time to look at my health carefully and holistically. She takes a measured approach that I really liked, taking my concerns to heart while not pushing me towards unnecessary diagnostics. Really top notch all around!

Guess which one gave me the most thorough & thoughtful exam? Those other MDs should take a lesson from her. She refilled NSAIDs which the Ortho refused me & gave me a starter plan for my other symptoms. I'll think twice before going to South Hills Ortho again. I haven't even met the MD here yet & I am very very pleased with Preferred Primary Care Physicians, Brookline Blvd. A small office with a lot of care & compassion. 5 stars from me!

I have spoken to the pharmacy and they knew the Doctors office specifically when I mentioned that our prescriptions are never ready. Apparently they don't participate in the auto renew program like every other medical office has subscribed to. A perfect example was today Sept. 5th 2019 when my 90 year old grandmother ask me to check on her hydroclorothizide prescription. I tried to call the office twice, once at 0900 and again at 0930 letting the phone ring a solid 5 minutes each time and no answer. I then went down to the doctors office to find two patients in the waiting room ( meaning they weren't busy ) but still nobody can answer a phone! I have had just about enough of this, well to be frank, Bullshit!!! If you're searching for a doctor do yourself a favor and pass this one by. It truly is ridiculous!!!

EXPENSIVE SNAKE OIL SALESMAN - STAY AWAY!!!…read more 1. "Functional medicine" - I'm not really sure what that means but I suppose it sounds good for his purpose. FYI he is a chiropractor but doesn't practice his trade, wonder why?? 2. "Personalized blood panel" - printed word for word from LabCorp and put in a binder and presented as specifically tailored to you. LOL. 2. Uses alarming verbiage like "pre-diabetic". 3. Lack of transparency and doesn't explain anything except to "sell" his weight loss product, GLP1, which is essentially Ozempic. NO THANKS!! Also sells his IV vitamin drips at an exorbitant price - why??? 4. He preys on desperate women dealing with weight loss issues. 5. Charges and arm and a leg and would not provide a refund/partial refund even after I got sick from his recommendations.

I am embarrassed to say that I was dumb enough to get ripped to Pay over $2800.00 to these people…read morebut I did. After a couple months I found that i could get the same vitamins and injections online WAY cheaper through AGELES RX with no bloodwork and tele health doctor . I did not go back there and never will. The scare tactics are unreal and totally caught me totally off guard and scared the crap out of me because of my A1C and cholesterol was off per my blood work so I signed up for this program. Months later (after this program i was SOLD) at my PCP my A1C and cholesterol did not change. I did however lose a couple pounds but soon gained them back after going back to a regular diet.
