Pizza was amazing! Very fresh. The pizza had rich flavor. The marinara sauce was very yummy!!

Awesome pizza. In NYC there is an abundance of pizza businesses but not all deliver on quality. This place does. Great pricing, clean and efficient. The location is awesome and I always end up meeting great people around. Staff is wonderful and helpful. If you're debating between this place and something else come here! read more

Gotham Pizza - Pizza Near Me - New York, New York

Gotham Pizza was not our first choice but it was the closest spot to us and we were super hungry. It is a typical New York style slice but they use cornmeal on the crust which makes it crunchier. Personally, I like being able to fold my slice and here the crust cracks instead because of the crunch. That said, the toppings were fresh and very tasty. Overall, it did its job. Decent, inexpensive, and inoffensive pizza. Buffalo chicken slice: 8/10 BBQ chicken slice: 7/10 Grandma slice 8/10 Regular cheese slice 7/10 3.5 rounded up read more

TLDR: Pretty underwhelming pizza, but open late (which is why we were here). Honestly wouldn't really recommend. FOOD: Pizza kind of sad. Lacking flavor. Crust was meh. SERVICE: Meh, fine. AMBIANCE: Leaves something to be desired, but it's just a basic pizza joint. read more

I got a Pepperoni slice for $4 on 1:30 AM. A previous yelp review said this was the best pizza in the world, so I had to try it out. The shop was comfortably warm, and the atmosphere welcoming. But the pizza slice was just fine. Solid slice but a bit salty. It tasted great, but it certainly wasn't the best pizza I've had. I'd come again, though! read more

I don't say this lightly: this is genuinely some of the best pizza I've ever had. The crust was perfectly balanced--crispy on the outside, light and airy inside--with a depth of flavor you can only get from proper fermentation and technique. The sauce was bright and well-seasoned, the cheese melted beautifully, and every bite felt intentional. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient, especially impressive given how busy it was. The staff clearly knows the product and keeps things moving without rushing anyone. The space itself has a great energy--casual, lively, and exactly what you want in a top-tier pizza spot. Gotham Pizza absolutely lives up to the hype. If you care about excellent pizza done right, this place is a must. read more

We stumbled upon this pizzeria on our way back to hotel past dinner time. Since we were super hungry, we decided to have some pizza. Surprisingly, the pizza were good! We love the crispy crust with corn meal dust. The filling was good and tasted fresh. We even came back the next day for more slices. - Margherita: the mozzarella tasted fresh and the sauce was good - BBQ chicken: loads of chicken pieces but the bbq sauce was a bit too much - Pepperoni: simple but delicious! I purchased sausage pizza and garlic knots. The garlic knots were not worth it at all. It didn't taste fresh and was more chewy than I like. The pizza was good. I do not have much to say about it. I do not like the more rough seemingly breadcrumbed crust of the pizza. Personally I prefer more fluffy or smooth crusts. The cheese and sauce were average. The pizza tasted good and maybe I would get it again but there is nothing that makes it stand out read more

Solid 3 star place. Ok pizza, ok prices for Chelsea, bad ambiance with no music or anything else playing. Positives are it's open fairly late (at least on weekends) and has a lot of seating room for a pizza joint in this area. read more

Good for a quick bite of lunch! The pizza crust is super crispy, which I really liked! Appreciate it a lot more than the ones that just seems like toast. I'm not rating anything but the quality of the pizza. Ordered a basic pepperoni. It is by far the best pizza in the world. The crust was something from heaven. Crisp and crunchy. The toppings were fantastic. I don't care what anyone says, it's the very best and second is a universe away. read more

The pizza was ok. Not the worst and not the best, maybe slightly below average. The best flavor I had here was the pepperoni. Not a fan of the crust here. You must eat this hot or else it don't do too well cold but that is just me. read more

Not as big as your typical NY slice. In fact I couldn't recommend buying this pizza by the slice. As a pie I still found it to be a little small. Their largest pie is 16in and comes with about 8 slices. This should be enough to split between 2-4 people. As far as price goes you're gonna pay about the same or slightly less than other NY pizza places. Despite these issues I thought the pizza tasted great. It's a delicious classic NY slice made to near perfection. I was worried how it looked but the taste made it well worth it. It helped that I was able to get a great discount from Door Dash otherwise I might have a different opinion. I'd give it a 3.5 if that was possible but I'll settle for a 4. I can easily recommend this spot and it's possible I may order from here again someday. read more

I give this place a lot of kudos just for the fact that they offer delivery and did not hang up on us when we asked if they deliver. No lie, we called about four to five places before this one that simply hung up. And I'm saying not a "good-bye" then hang up, but a straight "no...(dial tone)" after being asked if they deliver. After our flight was inexcusably canceled, the airline placed us in a hotel for the night. Once we arrived at the hotel, we decided to stay in and grab a pizza for delivery. After all, it was late and I didn't want to traverse the lobby more than I had to on the account that it smelled like a mixture of old horse stables and overpowering weed smoke. I guess the joke is on me, Delta must have thought it was funny to stick a family of four in a downtown hotel that was located in the heart of drugs-and-short-skirts-R-US Ville. After the phone fiasco occurred as mentioned above, we finally found this pizza shop. We ordered an 18-inch cheese pizza with garlic knots and a 2 liter of Sprite. The delivery was super fast, 20 minutes, the knots were less than a dollar and we got four, and the pizza was very tasty (enough for each of us to have two slices each). The only critiques are that the knots were too garlicky (but I liked them) and the pizza could have been cut better, instead of us having to rip it apart. However, the pizza was delicious and the cheese to sauce ratio was perfectly balanced. Overall, this was a great experience. The locals might say that there are better places; however, for a family of four wanting good pizza and less in-da-club atmosphere in our life, Gotham was a great choice. Enjoy! read more

Came for a hot slice in the area, a little concerning walking into an empty joint on a Saturday night but came with a couple friends. Was feeling hungry so I grabbed two options. Honestly pretty solid fairing for me. The pizza had a pretty solid cornmeal base, so it wasn't oily at all picking it up. Consequently made it a little hard to fold if you're into that style. Also there wasn't too much extra crust at the end, as they were pretty generous with the toppings/cheese/sauce. I wanted a slice of a pizza and I got it. Not gonna win any awards from me and wouldn't beeline just for Gotham, but since the order came through I'm pretty happy with what I got. read more

Gotham Pizza offers solid slices with a unique twist. Their crust is made from a corn based flour. It still has the makeup of a traditional New York slice but the dough is slightly less stretchy and crispier. It has a slight gritty texture as well. I enjoyed the unique dough that comes with their pizza. I wouldn't say it compares to the traditional flour recipe of New York Pizza but it was great to have a different experience. Though the crust and dough are different, their toppings and cheeses were traditional and fresh. White Slice (4.5/5): Their White Slice is everything I expect. It had plenty of mozzarella and ricotta. Their cheese was stretchy and fresh. The easiest way to ruin a White slice is to overly caramelize the cheese or not put enough cheese on the slice. Gotham avoids both of these mistakes. Margarita Slice (4/5): Their Margarita Slice was also great. It had more mozzarella than most places. Most places put too much tomato sauce and not enough cheese on their Margarita slices. I was glad to see my slice came with plenty of cheese. Cheese Slice (3.5/5): Their Cheese Slice was the average. I just wasn't impressed with the flavor of the cheese. It wasn't but it was simply adequate. It did not impress me like the other slices. read more

From a fellow New Yorker, I am honestly presently surprised with their pizza. The cornmeal at the bottom offers a little something- really dig the extra crunch. There are multiple locations, so seems chain-ey, but we've been to two & both have been consistently solid! See you soon friends! read more
