We have dealt with a number of flooring companies lately (both just shopping as well as purchasing product for another project), and dealing with UWood was at the top. While we knew we wanted SPC (they also sell WPC as well as laminate, solid and engineered wood flooring products), we had not nailed down colors or other specifics. All of the staff we dealt with were professional and quite helpful and friendly. We were never rushed, nor felt the slightest bit pushed in any of our visits or in making any decisions. We were able to take home either samples or in some cases complete planks of the flooring right out of the box to try out in our home (no deposit required). And the advice they gave us on underlayment options and other aspects of the project was very useful. Once we decided on color and specifics, we felt that the price offered was excellent. We bought 38 boxes, and were able to return the two unopened boxes after the project was completed. We also bought matching T-molding, quarter round, and underlayment from UWood to complete the project. All of the materials seemed to be good quality, and we ended up very happy with the results (installation itself was done by a contractor we hired separately). All our visitors like our floor. During the time that we've spent on the project (many weeks from first finding the company until the project was complete), it seems like UWood has gotten even more samples and choices, as the showroom has gotten more full of brands and samples.

At the same time, they sanded and refinished the existing white oak floors in our dining room, kitchen, and family room. Those floors had been installed at different times over the past 20 years; the dining room has been finished in oil, while the other floors had used a water-based finish. With their skilled touch, all of these floors now match beautifully! You'd never know they hadn't all been installed from the same lumber and at the same time. These guys were a pleasure to work with. They listen closely, they are reliable and prompt, and they take obvious pride in their work. Jose and his crew are amazing! They have two large projects done by them…read more The first priject was a patio cover. I had an idea of what I wanted and Jose suggested that I should consider an exposed beam look with shiplap cross boards. I went with his suggestion and it turned out amazing! I was going to have him paint the wood, but it looked so beautiful, that we decided to have it stained instead. We love it and it actually keeps our house cooler in the summer. Our second project with Mesi was a complete bathroom remodel which is one of their specialties. Again Jose guided me on where to select the tile and fixtures. I selected all the tile and was ready to proceed, when Jose again made a fantastic suggestion to use a complementary tile in one section to sort of break the monotony. He is great at making subtle suggestions without telling you what to do. I love that! In both cases, Jose's crew cleaned up after each day of work which was super important to me. I'm impressed with both the speed and quality of the work done and at a very reasonable price. We are already planning to have a couple of other projects done by them because we know the work will be done right and on time.
