Updated Review 6 Years Later: 3/10/26: I sent them an email a week ago trying to give them the opportunity to make this right. I have not received any reply regarding this issue. Has anyone else had a bad experience? I've come to realize that the install crew did a horrible job. Our LVP began separating and cracking after a couple of years. After year 3, I called them out and they came out to look at it and immediately used a "moisture reader" and claimed we had a water leak somewhere that was causing the issue. So, I called a plumber out and he did a complete inspection only to discover we do not have any water leaks and no water moisture. I then called another reputable floor company who said it was the thinnest planking he'd ever seen and never would have installed that quality. We recently found a great handyman to just fix the floor and one thing discovered was the rubber part that separated the carpet and linoleum had been left and the planking just put over it causing the boards to crack and bend. We are moving so don't want to replace the entire flooring when the new owners will probably replace it themselves. I'm going to reach out on Monday to see what these people's response is. Even though I'm pretty sure our warranty has expired, I feel like that since they blamed the reason on water way before it expired they should fix it. My handyman also said something about they should have done some leveler on the wood before placing the LVP over it. Fast talking sales people, aiming to close the deal, bad install crew just in rush to get it done, and poor follow up taking responsibility for their mistakes. For the record, I've done extensive research on all companies prior to hiring them and look at review carefully both the good and bad. I also take recommendations off Cherokee Connect (FB page). I did my due diligence. Now, we're having additional flooring done and definitely not using these people. Research the type of floor you're putting down. I knew nothing about LVP prior to this and have learned a lot. I will update my review IF they honor the warranty they should have in the first place instead of making excuses. Sales guy was nice enough. I think he saw me coming. Single gal sure we can take her for a ride. 1,500 sq ft home vinyl plank he quotes me $11,000 yes you read that right. Home Depot quote 1/2 that for a friend whose home is 3x my size. Not using them. When I complained about the cost. No follow up. Guess they don't need the business. read more

(I originally posted the same review on Google) My wife and I recently decided to Cover our hardwood floors with LVT due to the fact that they were being destroyed by our three large dogs. We have only lived in our new home for two years and they were wrecking them. We quickly discovered what an adventure it can be to get not only the right LVT type but the right person to install it. I tend to over research things before I purchase them because I have been burned before. Better safe than sorry. We ended up with three quotes after talking to a couple of vendors. In the end, we chose Joey Webb and Gotcha Covered Floor Covering. The thing I appreciated about Joey is that he was very clear about what we were getting into and what we would need to handle the dogs. He gave us two options at two different price points. We even went by the show room to review the different types and styles of LVT available in person. Joey was very helpful and most patient with us. The quote he gave us and the conversations we had answered all of our questions upfront. Not only that, but it lined up with all of my own investigations into LVT. Trying to get information from the other vendors or get them to adjust their pricing to include thicker LVT for the dogs was either difficult or futile. Joey included the cost of moving our appliances, toilet and bathroom vanity. He also included replacing a quarter rounds along the floor along with painting them. His team did the whole job in one day including moving the furniture and a quarter rounds. Joey not only sold us the product but acted as project manager with his team coming by to make sure that everything was installed correctly. If you are looking for someone and want it done right, call Joey. His quotes were not the cheapest, but the professional service and knowledge and execution he provides is worth it. Also, beware of the cheaper quotes. I discovered the reason that some of them were cheaper is that they were providing us with a much cheaper LVT than Joey was offering. Recently had over 1,800 feet re-carpeted. Had a great experience and good price from Jason, one of the owners. He was quick to respond and get me on the schedule. His installation guys did a great job and quite honestly I would buy carpet from them again. Jason gave me a good installation warranty, but couldn't provide a manufacture warranty because he buys through a broker. The carpet is from Dreamweaver, a relatively new carpet manufacturer in Dalton. Jason said he'd try to get the warranty from his broker, but it's been at least 3 weeks, so I'm losing hope. I'll add another star and modify this review when I get it. read more

I called for carpet replacement and was more than satisfied with the service. Not only is Gotcha Covered a local business, but their pricing was also much better than their competitors! I was given a quote and my carpet was installed within 1 week! Sawyer was very patient, courteous and professional. I will not go anywhere else for flooring! For the home measurement, the person showed up on time and provided a call that he was on his way. There was a slight mix-up in quote process, but the owner contacted us and went above and beyond to resolve our confusion. He stands by his business and believes in customer service. We have our carpet installation scheduled for next week and I am excited to see the end result. Update: the carpet installers were very nice and efficient and the overall project exceeded our expectations we are very pleased with the results. read more

Pros: Quick to come out and give a quote. Polite and courteous. Reasonable rates. Added "free" carpet to the master closet. Cons: The price increased from the original quote by about $150-$200. Receptacle in living room floor was covered. It took 3 days for them to come and fix it. Workers constantly left the front door open, flies came into the house, and I constantly had to worry about the two cats escaping. Communication - Workers did not know anything about the "free" carpet and did not have it upon installation. When I called the office to inquire, I was told that I would receive a call-back and never received one. However, they did bring the carpet out later. Time - Was told installation would take approximately a half of a day. They were short-handed and it took all day long. The "free" carpet was installed in the closet. However, now the closet door will not close. When we inquired, we were told it is our problem! read more

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! PRICE, SERVICE, PROMPTNESS, AND QUALITY AAA+ After dealing with Empire for 3 whole days and not getting anywhere I called the floor place up the road and his price made me think I was getting carpet in my whole house. My wife and I went over to a carpet store down the street and found a carpet match and padding for 30 bucks. Now we have the carpet, padding, but need an installer. Googled near us again and found GOTCHA COVERED. I called them probably 10 minutes after 5pm and Sandie answered the phone and I quickly explained my dilemma with an urgent patch needed before a Baby Shower having wasted 3 days with Empire Carpet already and she was so wonderful as to get all my information and say she would take it home and either her or the Owner would call me back. Later that evening Jason the owner called and I briefly told him my story though he already had it and he said no problem he would get it taken care if not tomorrow then the next morning. Well what's this going to cost I asked. 5 TIMES CHEAPER THEN THE FIRST GUY I CALLED WHO NEVER EVEN CALLED BACK LIKE HE SAID! Elated thinking too good to be true Jason contacted me the next day congratulating me on the baby again and letting me know they would be there in the morning. Joey showed up at my house early next day and was as pleasant as could be. I think it took longer for his tool to heat up then it took for the rest of the work. It is seamless and in our nursery so it's a really big deal for us. I couldn't thank Jason enough and asked him about work on my rental properties. Not only did he explain to me all the possible options with hardwood, tile, etc. but told me what was best for the different style properties we own. Needless to say with their service and prices we will be calling them back for all our flooring work! Sandie, Jason, and Joey were so personal in their service I feel like we have been long time friends. I really just can't believe what all he did for such a low price on such short notice! My wife wanted to get new carpets and wanted to get it done before her family came to visit. And not with some notice, she decided to get it done in a week. Gotcha Covered not only was prompt with their consultant (he was actually a fun guy to chat with too), but they were professional in their installation, very clean, and quick to the job. I could not tell someone was here doing carpets. They moved furniture and put it all back. A lot more than I would have expected. I would recommend them to anyone. Jason and his team were amazing!!! Their work is superior to anything we have seen and his team are true craftsman. What I liked most was their phenomenal customer service, they were very professional and polite. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with them. From the first time I met Jason for the quote, he worked to gain my business by working patiently to help me decide on a stain color and the perfect carpet for 5 bed rooms.
