I took my car to jiffy lube they topped off the coolant for free. I bought brake fluid at Maverick. I have never been so disappointed with service, I called the service manager... he said (john) would reimburse me for the fluid I had to buy after their service.

My car was riding a little rough, so I reluctantly agreed. 2 hours and 15 minutes later, I was told it took so long because it needed some repairs. They explained what needed to be done, but could only give a ball park range for the costs (which I sort of understand). I asked if it would resolve the issue with the engine light being on, and he told me he did not know why it was on. This was frustrating since it was something I asked them to check when I brought it in. When I asked if they could check it, he told me it wasn't on anymore so he couldn't. I got in the car and sure enough, it was on. Because they gave me a $25 credit for my wait, I decided to give them another try. I have always had good service with them. They were busy, so I assumed it was just a fluke issue. Although I have to admit, the guy that I was working with seemed put out by every question I asked. I called back to schedule the repairs and verify the ballpark quote I received. I was told they could make the appointment but someone would call back with a quote. I waited 4 hours and never got a call so I checked in with them. After being transferred around, I was told the original tech would have to call me with the quote. 3 hours later, still no call. I called back to cancel my appointment. I explained why and the guy (same one from the oil change that seemed put out) said, "Ok, I've got it cancelled." No attempt to get me a quote, no apology, nothing. I guess they are too busy and don't need my business anymore. Time to find a new mechanic.

It's time to refresh my review of Riverton Chevrolet. They have listened to customer feedback and…read morethe service department has gotten much better and I am now more comfortable trusting some of my cars to their care. My last service a few weeks ago was fast, done correctly, and no upsell. It was exactly as I had hoped it would be. Great job Riverton Service!

Since moving to Utah a year and a half ago, I needed to find a Chevy dealer that I could trust…read moreworking on my Corvette. Riverton Chevrolet is it. First of all, they sponsor the Corvette Club of Utah. We have our meetings there in their upstairs conference room. They donate sponsorship money to the club and give club members a 10% discount on parts and labor and also works good deals out for buying a car or truck. Such a dealership is only going to give good service because they only want a positive reputation among the Corvette owners, the opposite would be very bad for business. I have been dealing with Fred in service and he's an upright, good guy. I've gone in for oil changes and repairs and they have been done in a timely manner. I have always felt comfortable dealing with him and this dealership. I had the same confidence in the Corvette club sponsor in Tucson, O'Reilly Chevrolet, with Ricky and wanted the same experience here in Sandy. I've got it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
