Orangetheory South Jordan has been such a game changer for me. The coaches are amazing. David, Brecke, Camille and Whitney bring incredible energy, coaching, and encouragement to every class. They make the workouts challenging but also fun, and they genuinely care about everyone improving. The community here is also something special. It's supportive, motivating, and the studio challenges keep things exciting and help keep you accountable. It's one of the few workouts where I actually look forward to showing up. If you're looking for a place that will help you build a routine, get stronger, and feel part of a great community, OTF SoJo is it.

F45 is a functional training gym that runs 45-minute workouts with high work-to-rest ratios (e.g.,…read more45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest, repeat). The workouts are programmed, so you follow the instructions given for each station, but the gym has plenty of equipment, so workouts change from day to day and don't get repetitive. Mondays & Wednesdays are cardio days (though you'll still have weighted exercises), Tuesday & Thursdays are strength days (think more weight and slower reps), and Fridays - Sundays are hybrid days (combo of strength + cardio). The workouts are very challenging and will have you gassed by the end, but they're only 45 minutes, and the coaches provide modifications, so you can power through! The equipment here is great and in good condition. This location recently opened a "Recovery Room" that offers massage guns, foam rollers, and compression boots to help your body relax and recover after tough workouts -- it's amazing! The only variable at F45 (which is probably true at most gyms) is the coach you have for your workouts. Tim (who coaches Mondays and Wednesdays) is super high energy, remembers your name, corrects your form, and will encourage and push you without being overbearing -- he's the best! Other coaches will walk around the room and help spot check your form on workouts, but won't provide much motivation. And at a couple of the workouts I've been to, the coaches have just stood and talked to each other (or people from the previous workout) for the full 45 minutes. To me, this last coaching style is unacceptable, and the one piece I wish I could change. Overall, I'm very happy with this gym and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their physical health, especially those who have limited time to work out or don't know how/don't want to program their own workouts.

The trainers are great and will correct your form. If you go a lot, it's about $5 a class. This is a much better deal than ClassPass and it goes to a local business owner instead of a middleman.

They called me a couple days later to set up a time to come in, and they said that they focus on different body areas each day -- which I like. The weekday 9:30am class I went to focused on upper body. The class stays the same throughout the day, but the workouts are never the same, day-to-day. They're also 45mins each, but don't think that it's not as intense --because it is. I mean, it's as much as you're able to put in, but I was definitely burning and sore the next day. The place is very clean and open. Lots of equipment to work with which is awesome (weights, bands, balls, etc.). Front desk was welcoming and explained everything up front. The instructor introduced himself and made sure to keep an eye on me during the all-female workout class. Four circuits in 45mins following a quick cardio warmup on the "floating floor". My fave thing about this place is the bouncey floor! So nice for low-impact despite doing high-impact workouts. The ladies were very encouraging even though none of them knew me, yet they clearly all had made friends since they've been going. Overall, I really dug this place. It will kick your butt and people will help you out and cheer you on.

It seems to be a popular location because there is a waitlist for many of the classes. It was interesting that there is a nearby OTF location in Sandy and there were no waitlists for their classes. Anyway, I enjoyed the two classes that I attended there and will return on future trips.

I'm an older guy and I lost a lot of weight and got in really good shape. Thanks to Kelsey and a couple of the trainers there and their nutrition knowledge. I had high hopes but I'm incredibly disappointed. (Text conversation attached)…read more I signed up for the 6 week program ($399) based on the understanding that my money would be put towards paying the monthly fee at the end of the challenge, if I chose to continue with a membership. (We agreed on a discounted rate of $59 that would start after the challenge.) Turns out their employee explained it wrong and the upfront deposit does not go towards the monthly payment and they refuse to honor it. I'm 6' 2" and 190 lbs. My wife is about 130 pounds and 5 foot 4". Her goal was to LOSE weight and LOSE bodyfat. My goal was to gain weight. We were given the *exact* same nutritional meal plan with the exact same amounts to eat. So apparently it's few enough calories to help her lose weight but enough to make me gain weight?? Half way through the challenge, when I was losing weight instead of gaining, the advice was to "eat more". I really wanted this to be a great gym. I tried to talk through the misunderstandings with Clare and come to an agreement. At the end of the day, they are keeping the $399 because I didn't meet my goal of gaining weight... Poor communication, unprofessional, and the worst nutritional advice I've ever received. To be clear, I didn't cancel my membership. I'm continuing at the $59/rate because I like the trainers (and they're keeping my $399 either way) I have mostly worked out with Jason and Lexi and they are awesome!

Fitness Together has been my best workout experience ever!…read more I've been working out most of my adult life in various ways. I do yoga, run, and have taken classes at various gyms. Nothing has pushed me harder or been put more specific attention on the areas that I really wanted to work on more than having a personal trainer who really knows what they are doing. I've had sessions with several of the trainers at Fitness Together and they are all very knowledgeable and really care about my needs. They also give me nutrition counseling! It's like I'm getting two services for the price of one! I love the personal attention and private studios at Fitness Together. I will be a client for life!!

I just moved to the area, so I've been searching for a new group workout spot for me to frequent. I…read moresaw that Legends offers one free workout for new peeps, so I reached out to them to set up a time to come in with my BF. I used to be a member at an MMA gym where they held kickboxing for fitness classes, and I found Legends class to be so much better. I really liked: - how they focus on different areas of the body each day (upper body the day we went). - the classes are the same all day no matter if you come in the AM or PM, so you never miss out. - different punches are numbered and posted largely on the wall near the punching bags -- so it's easy to follow if the instructor shouts out combos in #s. - Tiffany was out instructor, and she was really attentive, helpful, friendly and motivational. I wish all workout instructors were like her. She knows her stuff. - they teach people how to actually box in the fitness class, so you can aim to spar when they deem you ready. - they model combos after actual fights, and play short video clips for people to watch the big dogs actually do the combos you're about to do. - the upper body focus portion around the ring kicked my butt. Very much needed! - they write out details of the workout on a whiteboard, so you're not guessing what's going to happen next. - Tiffany, Berklee (house manager?), and other class patrons actually talked to my BF and I, congratulating us for getting through the class at the end. Normally fighting gyms are not so welcoming, so this was very much appreciated. FYI -- they do not do kickboxing here, but I was still the most sore I've been in a long, long time. I LOVED this gym. Highly recommend for anyone who is thinking about it.
