My vegetarian teenage son was unable to finish his bean and cheese burrito ($10). How often do you fill up a teenager? It's an especially happy day when we see the handmade card taped to the order window, "Hoy se vende carnitas"; it's spectacular. The condiments are in large squeeze bottles on a cart, and there's also pickled onions, and freshly sliced radishes to cut the richness of the meat. I think my favorite part of the plate is the charred, grilled serrano pepper. It's so good, tears are rolling down my face as I take another spicy bite!

Tacos are $1.50 each and come in corn tortillas, piping fresh. We each also got an agua fresca (horchata) which was delicious, and only $2 to boot. The truck is located on Springwells St right off of 75, in a tiny parking lot. I believe they have two trucks because my boyfriend said the last time he went, the truck looked different. In warmer weather, they have a few seats outside, too; it's November today so we ate in his car. Three tacos ($4.50 total) were a very filling meal, and very tasty. I'll be back at some point.

Taco was served with a lime wedge and 2 house sauces, topped with cilantro and onions Also, chips and house made salsa were brought to our table. The salsa was a slightly thicker/saucy consistency, on the spicy side, visible cilantro and onions, not like a pico just a nice, flavorful salsa. As for the house taco sauces i preferred the green which was a nice balance of creamy goodness and heat, and had a jalepeno flavor to it. the red sauce was spicy and more acidic, also good. The taco (campechano) had a nice spicy flavor and the al pastor was solid - hard to tell what/if fruit was used in the marinade. Service was friendly and the place was clean. If you are looking for fantastic tacos this is the place. The bonus is a great price. The place seats about 16 and is in the back of a small market - they also sell their meats to cook at home. if you are impressed by large fishbowl sized margaritas, wait staff that sings happy birthday, and a plate full brown covered in melted cheese, this may not be the place for you. if you are looking for tacos of excellence served by a friendly staff where you can also buy some spicy candies to take home, you will love this place. The friendly neighborhood atmosphere is five star.

There's even people waiting and wrapped around the Dix road side of the building. Casual dining, quick and convenient too. There were lots of graduation dinner gatherings tonight. Lots of kids in tassels and caps too. We decided to eat at the Mi Pueblo express, across the street. The hostess was nowhere to be found and there was a line just waiting to get their names in for a table too. The express location is at least $6-8 more expensive here than at the restaurant, since we have to pay for chips and salsa at the express. We ordered and paid for two of the Volcan with chciken tinga, since that's the closest to a tostado, chips with hot salsa large guacamole, bottled waters, 3 grilled chicken dinner and a large beans on the side. Bummer part about having to resort to eating at the Express. The food bill was $34.95. Service is quick and easy at least. The food was good still, even at the express location, just everything is a bit more here. It's like being in an ice box in the express and I had a jacket on.

(Insert dramatic pause and music) I will admit I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to my Mexican food. Living on the west coast and having home made Mexican food made with love from Mexican friends is hard to top. I'll try to temper that for this review. Let's start with the chips and queso.the chips were fresh tasting and crisp. The queso just tasted like canned nacho cheese, nothing special. Bummer. This fried burrito... listen it's huge. I took a picture of it next to a 28 oz blender bottle for effect. Huuuuuuge. I ordered the one with double beef since it came with two meats. The only thing I would have liked to see here is the other ingredients spread throughout the burrito. As you can see from the pic it's about 1/4 to 1/2 gone and you don't see the rice, cheese or sour cream. The beef could use more "taco" seasoning flavor but I won't quibble over that. With all that said this review loses a star from me because of one thing. NO GUACAMOLE!!! Whaaaaaaaat???? I ordered on door dash and that is not shown on the menu at all. My feelings were soo hurt. That's the best part of Mexican to me, great homemade guac!! They will surely see me again.
