Overall decent experience Picking up a pre ordered pixel watch at the Google store. I remember when this location was under construction a few years ago, so it's nice to see it all come together. Parking is easy; it's across the street, they have a guest experience individual greeting folks, which was nice touch. The customer service was super friendly and welcoming, and the store itself is modern, clean, and cute inside. Overlap, decent experience. Note about the watch, it's funny since Google bought Fitbit, certain data doesn't automatically get captured and you to download another app, which is annoying, but that's more of a comment on Google product vs the store. I wish they would develop it or fix the code to make it a good user experience read more

Unique Google merch [Mountain View CA] Located in Google's headquarters in Mountain View CA... as we were walking towards the Google Visitor Experience an employee stood welcoming visitors at the corner and I chatted with him for a little bit... he told me that the Google Store is its first in the West Coast, two are in New York City. Inside is an open space incorporating a lot of natural wood tones. The Google Store at the Visitor Experience has a swag section filled with hats, t-shirts, water bottles, mugs, pens, pads, tote bags and other Google-branded gear including a model of the G Bike for what?? $55 each! There were many tourists from around the world grabbing souvenirs and gifts for folks back home. The store isn't very big but it was the busiest section of the store. There is no formal checkout area. There were Google products everywhere including stations for the Pixel Watch, Pixel Buds, Pixel Tablet, and even non-Pixel products, like those from Nest and Fitbit and, of course, the accessories for your gadget like, you know, phone cases, watch straps, and more. I came to visit the school store to buy the Google mini the gentleman. There was very friendly and polite and brought me all the colours to pick from. I ended up purchasing a gray one from them and you also get to see a bunch of Waymo cars in the area! The self driving cars are very cool and you can't miss them! read more

ordered nest pros & thermostats online for pickup - got an email when ready maps directed me straight to the storefront which was funny - ended up going past the light to the big parking lot, but apparently there was also a different parking lot available as well saw a few Google bikes in the lot so I took one up the massive hill to the shop lol order pickup is to the left as you enter - process went quite quickly looked around quickly as I didn't want to blow more money than I already had - still ended up w some random merch for the house tho apparently there was a cafe & gift shop next door which I was not aware of, so now I'm sad I missed it oops read more

Came by to pick up a phone the other day and it was a quick and easy experience. Received an email notifying that my order was ready for pickup within minutes of ordering online. Parking is available a few minutes walk away. Staff at the store were wearing uniforms, albeit a touch faded, along with a badge. The pickup process was quite easy and I was on my way within minutes. Plenty of staff were available on hand and the showroom featured all of the latest Google consumer gadgets along with a gift shop. There is a cafe next door that feature coffee, pastries, as well as sandwiches. There is also a small gift shop inside the cafe. read more

As a long-time Google fan, I had to visit while on vacation nearby! I was here over the holidays and was hoping for some sales. Unfortunately not much promotions -- but I did grab a pair of Pixel Buds Pro which were on sale for the lowest price all year. And sad that they don't carry any accessories for any phones older than Pixel 7. I really wanted a new case for my Pixel 6. The space is beautiful as one would expect -- located inside the Google Gradient Canopy building, it's a large space separated into a few different areas: Google gift shop & swag area (as others have mentioned, this is a small area but some cute stuff here like stickers, clothing, tote bags, stationery and collectibles) at the front of the store; a little kids interactive area; a large Google products display room; and a help/repair area in a back room. It looks and feels like an Apple Store. There were staff walking around and ready to help all around the store. read more

Yesterday we bought a new Google Pixel 9 phone at the Google Store in Mountain View. The staff was extremely helpful in going over the features of the various phone models (naturally all Google phones). The staff in the store then assisted with the data transfer from the old to new phone. Also during verification of the transfer, they resolved all the issues that were discovered. The best part of this was that the trade in of an old Pixel 6 (for which we got a $300 trade in credit) was painless and the trade in value was established and credited to us on the spot. To do a purchase with a trade-in online involves a third party company who will evaluate the trade-in device and *may* credit the estimated trade-in value. At the Google store, it is immediate and credits to the the purchase being made. Next door to the store is a Google Cafe where you can buy sandwiches, snacks, and espresso drinks. There were many patrons there having their lunch (on a Saturday). The main store and also inside the cafe has a section where you can buy Google logo merchandise. The cafe and store are collectively called "The Google Experience" which is stated on many signs. I asked if there is more to the "experience" than the store and cafe. With a name like that, I thought that there might be exhibits. It sounds like maybe even a Disneyland type experience. Unfortunately, the "experience" is just the store and cafe. The architecture of the building is striking from the outside, with an undulating roof. Across the street there is a large artwork featuring glass covered with dichro film, which makes an interesting color display that changes with the position of the sun relative to the ground. There was one large drawback to the whole "experience". That is handicap access, which affected my wife who is having trouble walking long distances. The closest parking is far away from the store. There is no parking, not even handicapped parking close to the store! The parking is at the Shoreline Amphitheater (a block away and down a hill) or at a parking structure a block in the other direction. Both are a long walk. There needs to be parking for people with handicapped permits next to the store. There is a parking garage under the building but it was not open to the public. So 5 stars for the shopping "experience", less one star for the lack of nearby handicapped parking = 4 stars. read more

Wow this is a big upgrade to the Google Store. Everything feels really modern and chic. They have hardware like Pixel Phones, watches etc. as well as some gifts like bags, hats, mugs etc. Their gift section still is a little smaller than I would have liked but still fun to browse! There is even a place in the back that looks like they provide tech support (similar to Apple). I saw some visitors take pictures at the store which I thought was amusing. read more

Great service, the people who work here are warm, welcoming and efficient. They will really go above and beyond to help you. However if you're here, please definitely visit the cafe, the community center and walk around the structures in the back. Any store that does not have phone for customers to call is just giving bad customer service. Every Best Buy, Apple Store, Safeway, Target, I cant think of another retail store that does not have a phone number for customers to call to see if something is in stock, or if they are really opened. Google Store, think about what you can do to raise your Yelp rating, how can you make great phones and not care enough to make customers experience great. Your yelp score is sad. read more

After 2 calls that did nothing to resolve issue, finally had someone on line who attempted to fix issue. She could not authorize a replacement item, nor could she give me a credit. After being told by online Google support that this location stocked data-only SIM cards for pick up, I made the 1 hour drive to the store (I needed the SIM card immediately, as I was about to leave for a trip). I could not call ahead to the store to confirm, because there is no phone number listed. Upon arrival, I was told by the sales agent that they only carry phone and data SIM cards, and that they have never carried data-only SIMs at the store. That's a two hour round-trip drive wasted. Disappointed by Faulty Pixel 6a Battery & Insufficient Voucher Compensation I've been a loyal Pixel user, but my experience with my Pixel 6a's battery has been very disappointing. After only a year of light to moderate use, the battery began draining rapidly and wouldn't hold a charge--making the phone practically unusable. I contacted Google Support, and while they were friendly, the only resolution they offered was a voucher toward a new device. Unfortunately, when I went to redeem the voucher in the Google Store, every available replacement phone was at least £80 more expensive than the credit I received. As I can't afford to top up an additional £80, I'm left with no working phone and no viable way to use the compensation I've been given. I appreciate Google's initial gesture, but this outcome falls far short of a fair remedy for a clearly faulty product. I respectfully request that Google provides an additional complimentary voucher to cover the price difference or offer an equivalent solution--whether that's a direct replacement unit, a higher-value credit, or a repair option. Until then, I can't recommend the Pixel 6a on reliability grounds. Thank you for taking this feedback seriously. I hope Google will step up to resolve this in a way that reflects the brand's commitment to quality and customer care. read more

It is literally impossible to get free replacement battery under the Pixel 4a battery performance program announced by Google. My phone is working fine, but decided to choose the free battery replacement. This is the nearest location listed. The form tells me to contact this location in advance for availability and to confirm the correct parts are in stock for your repair. So I keep calling and after getting disconnected every other time and going through their phone menu, they keep telling me they're closed. Doesn't matter the time, it is always closed. So no way to get my battery replaced. Really absurd. They're hobbling my phone against my will and pretending to offer a solution when in fact they just want to give me a few bucks for selling a defective phone. read more

"Non intuitive store" concept from entering the store its not clear where to park ..circling for one round security at the building said where to park !! from spacious parking lot walked 5 minutes in search of "the non intuitive store". its not clear where the store is !! after asking few people i entered the store. store looked like coolest maze !! couldnt figureout where the counter to pick up the phone was. I asked someone looked like an employee folding the t-shirt (who later claimed she is the store manager and gentleman interrupted her and said he is the store manager ) . when i asked her where can i pick up my online order , she politely said she can help. she enetered my info on her device said order is not ready at 5.39PM . then she wanted to help me out so went inside checked and came back said order is not ready. she can help me by replacing the order but due to tradein whole process for new order require lot of time and can extend beyond closing time i have to come again. then i requested that i want to talk to store manager, she said she is the store manager . then Gentleman intervened and said he is the manager and confirmed what she is saying is right . i said i drove for 30 minutes to reach the store can he do anything to help me to finish the transaction today .(BTW store was relatively empty at that time). I refused to help as it was closing in 15 mins. I left at 6.45Pm dejected. But when i sat in the car i noticed i got an email saying order is to be picked up at 5.40pm (Date: Sun, Sep 1, 2024 at 5:40PM Subject: Your Google Store order is ready for pickup ).. If manager had little common sense and checked the order again he might have helped an hour driving going through all that mess again !! but typical google fashion they know "my way or highway" left dejected !!! read more
