Mr. Shea was my primary contact and he was informative with what I could expect about my leaking tire. They also had a quiet lobby where I could work remotely while I waited. What a pleasant surprise! I had replaced my own front struts and sway control stabilizers and needed to have the wheels aligned...well as I pulled the car out of my house/garage I heard the dreaded "clunk" of something not quite right. My wife had scheduled an early opening appointment the afternoon before and we proceeded to Goodyear in Silverdale. I clunk noise occurred on our gravel potholed driveway and pavement bumps gave a slight tink here and there. I was suddenly questioning my home mechanic job ‍. Once we checked in at the front desk I explained that I, myself had just replaced the front strut/coil overs and the sway stabilizers links but was now hearing the infamous clunk... Clark and the crew took the car for a short lap in the parking lot and proceeded with a "shakedown" prior to an alignment. We left it to them to look into and went for coffee nearby. After returning they called me to the counter to review the "shakedown" results and what I thought would be the bill for that and an alignment. To our surprise it turned out to be one nut on the lower right passenger stabilizer link that I had only hand tightened . They tightened that nut and performed the baseline for an alignment which turned out within specs. They actually said "nothing was due" as it was already in alignment! I am still amazed that such things still happen, needless to say a quick trip to the doughnut shop and back was the least we could do to thank them. Well done Silverdale Goodyear!!! read more

Would NOT recommend this auto repair shop. Came for an simple oil change and the clerks never completed several of the complimentary inspection items. Told needed multiple repair items and when tried to schedule a few days later to complete those items, I attempted to use an online Goodyear service coupon which 20 minutes later was called back and told estimate was wrong and would now be over $300 more, even with discounted coupon. Took car to different garage and confirmed I did NOT need several of the repair items to be done. Basically lied to about needed repair items and experienced a bait and switch on estimate pricing. Would absolutely recommend going elsewhere and if this place gives you an estimate get a second opinion before doing any work! read more

OUTRAGEOUS price for a tire, over $200??? I don't think so. I went to a competitor (LS) and spent only $140 for a NEW tire. Unbelievable.

I rarely write reviews, but I am so fed up with them on past repairs that I felt I had to write this review to help them improve and help others to be aware. I haven't obtain any of theirs services for many years now. This place is ok for small routine jobs, like oil change, tires and brakes, but any other jobs that are a little more complex is a negative ratings for me. I can understand that they are not experts on all repairs, but my biggest problems were their lack of transparency and missing parts (workmanship). For example on lack of transparency, they diagnosed that a part was cracked and need replacement, but since this part rarely cracks I asked them at least three times to save the cracked part for my later viewing. Later, they told me they lost the cracked part, which was very suspicious. Also, they would push for jobs that I know does not need. Another example was that they told me I needed new serpentine belts when the belts have no visible cracks at all. For example on missing parts, every single non-routine jobs they worked on, one or more fasteners or minor parts were missing. I found this out few years after the repairs were done since nobody else worked on those systems. I have so many examples, but I am going to stop here since my blood pressure is going up when I am revisiting my bad experiences with this Goodyear shop. read more

Needed an oil change desperately. And Goodyear was the only place that could get me the next morning. So that's where we went. Awesome. They gave us an oil change and free tire rotation. $60. Then the guy told us we needed front brakes ASAP and gave us an estimate ($420) and said the back ones would need to be done very soon. Well, we did the front brakes with help of a friend for $180 and took the truck into a competitors stop to get an estimate on the rear brakes. THE REAR BRAKES WERE IN GREAT SHAPE!!!!! Very glad I went to go get a second option. Just because one set needs to be done, doesn't mean the other set does too! read more

The Silverdale Goodyear had been my regular auto service provider for over 25 years. For the last several years I've "lost that lovin' feeling." My trust level (that I wasn't getting gouged) has done a 180. Customer service has declined steadily & significantly for awhile now. My last visit sealed the deal for me. In fairness, oil change was quick and, after reminding them I bought my tires there so I shouldn't be charged for rotation, price was good. Asked for quote on new tires & got handed a printout with one choice & outrageous price. No specs, no info, no discussion -- just "they're in stock." I shouldn't have to wait outside until my exact appointment time for you to unlock the door, stand at the counter for 15 while you get ready for business & tell me my info isn't in your new system (again). If you can't be bothered to let me know you have everything you need need from me, as I continue to stand & wait for any form of communication, then I can't be bothered either. read more

Brett (manager) and Brandon are the best! I'm living away from home where my dad was usually my first stop, and could diagnose and/or fix any car problems I had. No one can replace my dad, BUT these guys are straight forward, and I have never felt taken advantage of. To date they have done only necessary work to the car, and make sure to call me as they work on the car to ask before marking repairs. (I have had issues with this in the past.... picking up the car and paying for repairs I didn't authorize ). I've tried other places in the area, and have always come back. Even though I'm writing a less than perfect review, I would still recommend there service. I recently purchased a vehicle and wanted the tires rotated. Although the tires were Goodyear, I was not the original purchaser, so I purchased the life time rotation service for about $80. Not being the original purchaser, I thought that was fair. A couple of days later, I was driving in the Gig Harbor traffic circles, less than 15 MPH and lost traction. I immediately went to the GMC Dealer and was shown just how bad the tread on these tires were. A few days later, I found 4 new tires and had them installed. Had Goodyear apprised me of the real condition of the tires I would have purchased the new tires right then at their store. read more

I continually have good experiences here. I have been bringing both of our vehicles to this location for several years. New tires, diagnostic testing, oil changes, minor repairs, etc. The staff has been helpful and honest each and every time. I feel like I can trust what they say and trust them to tell me when work is over their heads and then they refer me to a different shop. The prices are reasonable and you can even get great coupons and deals sent to you via email. Call ahead to make an appointment or to see if they are busy and maybe could get you in right away. They were able to get me in the same day that I called. I had a full synthetic oil change, tire rotation, & front wheel alignment on my car. I made my appointment online. To prevent me from waiting a long time, Robert called me and asked if I could bring the car in later that day so that the wait wouldn't be so long. I did. It took about 1hr and 20 min to do everything. The cost was under $200. The price was a little costly, but I just moved here, so I'm used to paying a lower rate. read more

I had a flat tire that needed to get repaired. I took it to Goodyear as they are the closest tire store to my house. Not only did they fix it in a few hours, they didn't charge me! I told the associate I didn't buy the tires at your store and he said "We are happy to fix it for you" and would not accept payment. I just rolled in because my tire kept leaking, only to find out that their machine is not capable of dismounting my low profile tires from my wheel... This is a pretty common issue with my car (it is usually pretty difficult to work on) so no biggie in my mind. I asked what I should do then. The guy at the desk suggested other places that could probably take care of it... He listed off places that I did not particularly want to go to due to terrible experiences in the past. He then offered to have me come in and said he would take my wheel off and take it to the other place himself! I was so uncomfortable with having to deal with another business and he saw that and was willing to do whatever it would take to make me happy. That is customer service. Brandon and Brett are excellent at taking of all my auto needs. When I first moved here I starting having some car troubles. I reluctantly came into this Goodyear, but when I left I knew I was never going anywhere but here. Many times they will offer secondary ways to fix my problems that cost me less. Once they stayed after hours working on my car so I would have it for the next day to go to work. They shoot you straight and my wife and I have come to enjoy our oil changes. Never do I write reviews on places I take my car until now, This place is awesome. I had my brakes done here which they did for a good price (especially since they are the only place in town that does a military discount). Any way just over a year later I heard a noise in that same car so we took it back to Good year and they said they couldn't find the noise per say, but that they did see that somehow the brake pads had cracked and promptly replaced them FOR FREE! even though it was just over the year warranty they didn't charge me. I was so happy I asked them to do an oil change that I had planned to do myself. They have earned my business for as long as I live in this area. read more

Took my car to Firestone in Bremerton. Same diagnostics was $70.00!!! Goodyears Silverdale techs don't have the scope of knowledge or experience that the techs at Firestone Bremerton have. 2 days ago I made an appointment to have a flat tire repaired this morning. When I arrived for my appointment I was told they were unable to do the repair because they ran out of patches yesterday. A tire store ran out of patches??!! I drove 30 minutes to get there. I appreciate good customer service - someone could have been paying attention enough to 1. not run out of patches and 2. Let me know they needed to reschedule the appointment. In the end, I don't want non-attentive people touching my car anyway. read more

Customer service is terrible. We've in to warranty out a battery. They totally took advantage of my wife and sold a Napa battery. Have it for two months and its died twice. Took it back it to get my money back and Brett the service mgr says the battery is fine. "Its the same one that the state patrol uses. He said my car has a problem. I am writing to warn people about the scam this tire store runs when you bring in a flat to be fixed. This happened to me last week and after AAA put on my spare and I went here to have them fix the tire. They showed me a professional looking flyer with the "unfixable" area of the tread highlighted, which was basically everything but the center 6". Because I have all wheel drive, they told me I needed 4 new tires totaling over $1,000!!! I decided to get a second opinion and took the car to Costco where I bought the original tires. They looked at the nail hole and promptly fixed the tire saying it was well within a patchable area. I have waited a week to make sure the patch worked and have had no problems. I suggest you take your tire business elsewhere! read more

I got the "Tire Low Pressure" warning, so I took my car there to get air in, thinking it was due to the temperature drop. Turned out that one of my tires had a nail in it. I was told it would cost $35 for repair because I have run-flat, and the shop had only a couple mechanics who could work on run-flat, so I would have to wait a bit. I took my car to Les Schwab instead, without any appointment and they fixed it for free. read more
