I needed new tires and made an appointment here online. They are close by my house and offered free installation. I dropped my car off and a few hours later they called me to let me know if was ready- pretty easy. They weren't very informative but I did research on my own before making the appointment. So far so good on the new tires. Goodyear tires was also offering a mail in or online rebate so if you need tires- take advantage of that. Overall- a decent experience. read more

Do NOT take your car to this business. I had my Infiniti G35 taken there for an alignment and tire balancing. After I got the car back the steering wheel would shake at various highway speeds, especially at 70 mph. I checked the lug nut torque with a SNAPON electronic torque wrench and some of the lug nuts were torqued to 140 lbs! OEM torque spec is 83 ft-lbs! Not one of the lug nuts was torqued to OEM spec. Now I'm wondering if my brake rotors are warped from the excessive torque. NOT RECOMMENDED! read more

This used to be affordable and dependable to place to bring your car for decades. As Bob Dylan sang "times are changing", this place has too. I had notice this placed was not as packed as use to be recently (more like a ghost town now) and I know the reason why. Came in to get a $20 dollar oil change like clock work. After dropping it off, they called me back saying I needed to change all kind of filters and replace bulbs. Gave the ok and ended up with a $360 bill. So after getting home I put in every additional service in you tube for my car and realized I had been overcharged $120 in hours at $40 an hour for each filter and bulb replacement. Each filter and bulb took about 5 minutes to complete. So I got ripped off. The whole service should have taken about an hour to do not the five hours of labor I was charged. Do now I will be changing service providers like some of my neighbors. read more

I have been a returning customer for over 10 years. I brought my car in to be fixed. I'm not sure if they are under new management or what, but this place has gone extremely downhill. My car was in better condition when I dropped it off than I received it in. I will never be coming back and highly recommend if you have car issues to avoid this location as they do more damage to your vehicle than actually fixing what was wrong with it. read more

I received wonderful service in a very timely matter. I would recommend them to everyone.

Went there to purchase 2 tires. Good service (much better than the fern creek store) They got the job done fast and were friendly and courteous. Even put the spare back in trunk neatly and correctly. Much appreciated. read more

I have used this shop at various times over the years and have always had a satisfactory experience. Several months ago I purchased a new set of 4 tires. Wasn't planning on keeping the car long so they helped me find a budget set of tires. Then the other day I noticed a tire low on air and then found a screw in the tire. I called them up late in the day and they took me right in and fixed the flat for no charge in 15 minutes. I recommend this business. read more

The technicians knew what they were doing and walked me through what was wrong with my vehicle. They took their time to make sure i knew what was done to my car and what was wrong with it in the beginning. Amazing service, i will be coming back for any further issues read more

Found a nail in my goodyear tire. Without an appointment took my vehicle to them. Great service, not only plugged tire but determined it needed a patch. All was under warranty. Everyone there was great and very helpful. read more

Always very prompt and very courteous. Made a mistake ordering tires and the customer service department and the guys at the desk were very understanding. I've brought more than 4 different cars to them and will continue to patron this location. read more

While the location at 4909 Shelbyville Rd, St Matthews, KY 40207 was scheduled to close, they moved equipment to this location resulting in Shelbyville Road location to not be able to provide services. We visited on Thursday, had to order four tires and made an appointment for Saturday. This location, while having the other store equipment, would not guarantee service would be completed today. No attempt to correct or solutions provided after we order tires and scheduled appointment. I would rate no stars if could. read more

the store itself is awesome but the staff. are LAZY and do not get in no rush whatsoever to wait on a customer and they also jus close the store whenever they feel like it on 3rd shift so u nvr know if it is open or not at night time , I think wit a few improvements and better management, it will b a 5 star rating but until they get the lazy asses out and stop closing it jus cuz they feel like it when it says 24hr , they about as bad as speedway on Preston is read more

Goodyear Auto Service - Tires Near Me - Louisville, Kentucky

I picked up a bolt in my tire right at bardstown rd and the Watterson on Thursday. I pulled into gardiner lane shopping center to check my tires and found the issue. I took it into Goodyear and they got it back quick, we're able to repair it FOR FREE and we're very polite and kind when helping me. They were my saving grace on Thursday! read more

Ok let's face it, changing your oil is sort of a pain in the butt no matter where you have it done. However, this is 1-hour of your life every couple of months, so you might as well find a place where the experience isn't MISERABLE. I think I've found that place here. First and most importantly, it's cheap. Granted I got a coupon in the mail, so my oil change was only $24 + change, BUT that coupon was expired and they noticed, but didn't care. Which is awesome. Secondly yet still very importantly- THEY TAKE RESERVATIONS! That's right, call 'em up, ask when they have availability and boom, one hour later from your appointment you're on your way. Very efficient. Thirdly, they are super nice, friendly, and they don't try to trump up charges as if they are surprised your car even made it in one piece. I hate when mechanics do that, and here they don't. I didn't get one "you really need to change your transmission fluid for $150," or "your stigmomentor-blah-blah is cracked which will lead you to getting stranded in a week and it costs a $G" or whatever. The only reason I don't give this place a 5-star is because the waiting room chairs weren't La-Z-boys, and their coffee sucks, but hey that's a very minimal complaint for a mechanic. read more

I've been coming to this Goodyear for a few years now since it's convenient to my house. After my most recent visit, I think I need to find a new car/tire maintenance shop. Back story: each winter for the past 2-3 years, I struggle to keep my tires inflated. The cold sets in, and the air sneaks out. I'll take it in to Goodyear, and they've been good at just inflating the tires for free as they don't find any issues with them. During one visit last year, they did find some issues and patched my tire, which took care of my air issues last winter. Last week, I arrived at work to find another tire flat. It wound up being the same tire that had been patched last year. I decided at this point to just get two new tires so I wouldn't have to worry about losing air anymore. Over $300 later, imagine my surprise when this weekend, one of my BRAND NEW tires was nearly flat. At this point, something has to be wrong with the wheel, right? I brought it into Goodyear and after they checked it out and started inputting information into their system, I asked what the issue was. They mentioned that the valve stem was old, so they replaced it. Why didn't they look at that when they replaced the tires? Isn't that something that's typically done at that point? After this experience, I don't feel confident that this Goodyear is committed to providing quality work, so I'll start looking elsewhere. read more

I was in Kentucky and was waiting for my 97 f150 to be delivered on Thursday , so I called the guys at Goodyear and told them That I was planning to drive it across country from Louisville to Anaheim ,Ca.and asked them tio check it out and repair what ever was wrong I scheduled an appointment for when it was supposed to be delivered but it was late arriving so I called and told them it was late arriving and they said no problem bring it in when it arrives and we will check it out. I took my truck in on Thursday afternoon and told them I had to check out of my motel at 11 am Friday and they said no problem bring your luggage here and you can put it in your truck .to make a long story short they found numerous things wrong and that was no surprise and they worked on my truck Thursday afternoon and most of the day Friday and when completed said I should have no problems on the way to Ca and I didn't ,it was a joy to drive and feel worry free, So here is a big shout out to all of the guys at the Goodyear Auto Service Center at 3016 Bardstown Rd Louisville ,Ky Thanks for making my trip trouble free . I cannot say enough good things about everyone ! I WILL ALWAYS BE THANKFUL TI YOU ALL CALVIN MAHONEY read more

Sounds like a lot of reviews are lying here. I've been here a few times for oil changes and never had any issue. A lot of reviews are claiming overpriced service. No crap. It's a major chain. When getting auto work done, I recommend a good local mechanic with a good reputation. Now, for a simple oil change, this place is perfect. Way better than Jiffy Lube who's known to lie and cheat people. This place is close and they get the job done. Want better work done to your car? Take it to a local garage! read more

After bringing my car here for a decade I found one of my tire bolts was cross threaded and took it in for them to remove. They refused to take it off and replace it and insist it was not them... unfortunately I have been so absurdly loyal to this mechanic that there is no way that is true and did not even offer to knock anything off the 70 (70!) dollars it will cost to fix. I already lost an hour of work time to bring it in, but when I told them they've been caring for the tires etc exclusively for ten years they could not have cared less and let me leave with my tire still stuck to my car. I sure hope I don't get a flat before I can get someone else to fix it. No longer recommend. read more

I went there at first because I had a slow leak in my tire & they were kind enough to put air in it a few times, no charge of course, even in 13 degree weather. So when two tires had leaks I went in for tire repair. When I picked the car up I learned there was no charge. Wow. When I needed a battery I went back, feeling like rewarding them for being cool about my tires. The service was good, and priced just fine. A friend therefore chose to have her brake work done there, and was similarly happy with the cost and the quality of the service. BUT! Here's the real test from today: I had a coupon for service, so went there for an oil change, tire rotation, and some free inspections I'm a middle aged woman - with extensive mechanical knowledge - but they don't know that part. I told them at drop off that I was preparing for a road trip, so check the things you check for that. An invitation to try to take advantage, and a less than reputable shop would absolutely do that. Then they called to let me know the results: Brake fluid, tranny fluid, tire wear, brake pads - every one of those things were checked and I fully expected to hear "cha-ching". Nope, the answers were honest and while I'll need a brake fluid flush soon, I don't need it now, and the rear pads are coming due but not today. Tranny's fine, tires have another year or so. Great experience every time. read more

My car battery died in the parking lot of the Gardiner Lane Shopping Center. Roadside Assistance said it would be 3 hours before they could come help me. Luckily, this Goodyear store was in the same shopping center -- stroke of luck! They took my car and replaced the battery in less than an hour while I had a restorative cup of tea at the Heinie Brothers in the same shopping center. Reasonable price, really nice people, quick and efficient service. Who could ask for more? They helped turn what could have been a VERY bad day into a minor inconvenience. Thank you Goodyear store! read more

This place used to be wonderful but it has slowly gone down over the years. I had my car fixed there earlier in the year. They replaced the radiator which was over a $600 repair and I'm still having issues with my car from the "repair". I called the corporate office and they refunded me the labor cost but what good is that when I have to take my car somewhere else to have it fixed properly read more

2 at best. Only because a temp tech there was pleasant and was the only one to follow through. I've been back 4 times in 3 days and have had issues each time. Took it in because after charging the battery, several electronic issues didn't work. 1. I told them the issues and instead of focusing on the electric portion, they focused on the individual issues. 2. I have an older car which only has key entry on the front doors. They called me to ask me how to unlock the back doors. (I don't know maybe unlock the front and reach around to pop the lock? 3. Picked it up after having it sit all day to receive new battery terminals, drove out of the lot and it died just down the street. 4. took it back and was told the alternator (which was working fine the day before) suddenly isn't holding a charge and I'd need a new one. 5. Had an appointment at 8 with a guarantee of a noon pickup. When I called at 11 they told me it was ready. I came up and they said it would be another 5-10 minutes. After sitting for 40 minutes in the lobby, he comes out to tell me that it's lost the run memory and won't even start! What the hell have they done to my car? I do not pay a supposed professional to tell me "I don't know" and continually damage my car further. I will not be coming back. read more

If you need ANYTHING fixed on your car that this place does.....my advice to you is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I am not sure what has happened to this place as it used to be decent but I recently had 2 of my daughter's cars serviced here in regard to tires, brakes and alignment and so far have had to go back twice with one car and three times with the other. And with EACH one they tried to again sell me services they had already done on the cars! Sketchy at best, go elsewhere. read more

Went in to get my oil changed and the guy tried to up sale saying that my new car doesn't take the basic oil and that I needed the highest quality oil. When I mentioned that I would take my car to another location because I knew that wasn't true, he quickly decided that I didn't need the $69 oil after all. I don't feel they are truly honest here and don't plan on taking my car back in. read more

Decent store and people but forget getting in unless you schedule a couple weeks out. Purchased new $300+ each tires there and they were not balanced right from the start. Tried going back in several times and every time was told they were too busy to fix their problem and advised me to continue driving it, despite the violent wheel shake, until they could get me in an appointment. It's a shame because they all seem nice, but nice alone doesn't cut it. read more

I had two tires installed. Within a week, I walked out to my car and the tires were completely flat. I had the car towed to my mechanic to inspect the tires. It turned out they were not sealed properly when they were installed. Totally inconvenience me for hours. I did not call or go back in to this particular Goodyear place (warranty). No trust. And am posting this review to alert others. read more

Don't go here . I went there July 3rd at 2:30 was told my car would be ready between 5:30 and 6 I was having an oil change and tires rotated they were cheaper than the dealer. I called them at 6:20 because I had heard nothing the guy said "Did I tell you it would be ready today ?" I said yes but in the morning will be ok I knew they were closing in 40 minutes. The next morning I was called and told it was ready I went picked it up on my way home the tire pressure was on saying they were low. I called them said come back it was the holiday I had plans. When I took it back a couple of days later they couldn't figure out how to reset that so here I am sitting at Honda and they are fixing it. I really didn't save money with the time I have spent dealing with this. I won't be back . read more

WTF don't these guys get it? every time I come here I put white towels on my seats and every time they come back covered in black grease. Black grease on the interior, on the carpet on the door panels, on the steering wheel, on the door handles. All the tires and mag wheels are covered in black grease, it only takes a few hours to clean of the grease, like I have nothing better to do but baby sit these Pigs? you get what you pay for. Went to their store on Bardstown Road to check out a loud, vibrating noise in the cabin. The noise began about a week after I had an oil change done there. After a two hour wait, they told me they didn't know what it was and probably just something loose behind the dash. On the bright side, they don't think it's anything serious - not engine or transmission. However, that's two hours of my life I will never get back. Truly poor service. And they couldn't care less. All they are interested in is selling tires. Screw the rest of us! Definitely won't go back there again. read more
