I have shopped at this Savers over the years. Sometimes I…read morehave left with more and sometimes less; I have always left with something. The store is spacious. Clothes & shoes are organized by size rather than color like in some other thrift stores. They have a wide variety of housewares and toys. There were some mirrors that had no price. An employee told me that I would have to return another day to get a price because those who set the prices had left for the day. I guess that's a good thing or I would have come home with those mirrors. I was surprised to see only self-checkout. Murphy's law says that I would encounter at least one item that wouldn't scan without employee intervention. The issue was handled swiftly and I went on my way. Overall, Savers is the best thrift shop in the area.

Ridgefield Thrift Shop is GOAT. They carry an amazing variety of home goods and fashion that…read moreincludes Hermes scarves and YSL shoes. I proudly decorate my house with treasures discovered there, as well as add to my wardrobe. I also happily donate there. The only disclaimer is that in recent years, you won't find many bargains on anything higher-end. As most thrift stores do these days, they price high to keep the resellers from getting bargains. Unfortunately, if you are on a budget, you might not be affording the Hermes. It's an issue without an easy solution. But the great news is that Ridgefield Thrift Shop does a lot of good for the community, donating to all the local organizations and employing genuine volunteers rather than exploiting underprivileged groups for labor while overpaying a CEO. The hours are limited, so it can be crowded. People literally line up outside to wait for opening time. But you don't need to go through that trouble. If your treasure is there, you'll find it.

The store is very neat and orderly - clothing is arranged by size and color (to the best of their ability), the housewares section is neat and tidy, the book section is concise and easy to navigate, and the aisles are set with enough space for people to browse and pass one another without playing the game of "are we going to rub our bodies together in the pandemic?" - a game we all shudder with dread at. I will also say that this store does a good job of pricing things fairly, particularly when you compare them to their Westport counterpart. If you're looking for a deal - particularly on clothing - this is going to be a great location to browse!

I have always found something of interest, whenever I have dropped in, a tool, a shirt, decoration pieces etc. Prices in my opinion are very fair, specially for this neighborhood. One thing I will point out is that they do not have a fitting room, so best is to know your size before you go there.
