I'm originally from NYC, and I am pretty discerning about what I buy. Recently I scored some great name brand items, plus a lovely handmade vest. Even better, the fitting rooms are open again! Yippee! Yes, some of the prices are crazy, but there's the thrill of the hunt! My pet peeve is that some items are so tightly squeezed in on a rack (particularly women's slacks) that it's next to impossible to actually see what you are looking at. I often go on Wednesdays for their 10% senior discount, but recently I was there on a Saturday morning, and I did well. Though I was disappointed that the Calvin Klein coat, seemingly a raincoat, is barely water repellant, I washed it & wore it, so now it's mine - for dry days!

This trip paid off with some artwork that was basically screaming, "make me spooky!" Perfect for repurposing into Halloween décor, and honestly that kind of creative find is why I keep coming back. The store itself is organized enough that you can navigate without losing your sense of direction, but still has that "hunt for it" vibe that makes thrifting fun. Prices are usually fair, and every once in a while you stumble across that hidden treasure that makes you feel like you've won the thrift-store lottery. Not every trip is a jackpot, but that's part of the charm. This time the win went to spooky artwork. If you don't know Lululemon they are worth so much more than five dollars and I think it is crazy that they didn't even take two of my shirts and only gave me five bucks for one shirt. I didn't expect much out of this experience but I expected at least $10 at the very, very least. I feel like if you're going to be a selling type of thrift store you should be giving your customers at least half value. Especially if it is in fact more on the expensive side of brands.

There wasn't a lot in the way of furniture on my recent visit but I did leave with a signed pottery vase that will end up on my shelf. Prices are reasonable (less than other thrift stores) and I've noticed the most common price lately seems to be $4.99. Employees are pleasant and helpful. With an open mind and few expectations you just might find a treasure!
