Surprise, surprise when what do I see on their reviews? Continued bad behavior of Janice Williams and Linda Harris for their failure to pay other people who have consigned their items at Upscale Resale! CONSIGNER BEWARE! READ OTHER REVIEWS. THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU FOR YOUR ITEMS. These women took my items, and my girlfriend's, damaged them, not returning some upon ending our consignment and then didn't want to pay. We had to fight tooth and nail to finally get payment and upon trying to cash their check it came back as "insufficent funds," and I had to go after them for payment again. If you read all the reviews on Yelp, Google, etc., to this day, 5 years later, they continue to not pay their consigners, damage their items, etc., so this is why I did post this review at this point. It just had to be said. Facts are facts with reviews and nobody, not even Janice trying to deny it, can change the fact that all the consigners' reviews state that she keeps your money. Unfair business practices completely. Additionally, I asked if I should deliver my things but as they hadn't even opened their doors yet, and they were moving things around for setting the store up, they said they would arrange the pickup for my items and take care of it themselves. More for their convenience than mine. When I went to pick up my items (missing items, damaged items) they had nothing but excuses, said they'd send a check. When I got the NSF check I saw they then decided to charge me for picking up my items, which I never agreed to. These women are nothing but manipulators and will say anything to gain your trust by lying through their teeth. They may have our nice items that people are buying and liking in reviews (which is the only positive reviews you'll see), but the owners of those items still continue to be unpaid. I'm so glad I kept this insufficient check from them in 2014 in a file to provide as a warning to others that it's still happening. Continued bad behavior to these women who own Upscale Resale! There's nothing upscale about not paying us for OUR merchandise they're selling to their customers!

The store was full of different items and had accessories, jewelry, shoes along with the clothes. The best thing was the employees asked me what I was looking for and then quickly helped me find different items that I may be interested in so I didn't have to search the entire store myself. This saved me a ton of time and anxiety has going through stores like this. Sometimes give me an anxiety attack. Since everything is unique and not like in a regular store where one rack will have the same item but in different sizes. My night went off perfectly, and I was definitely dressed the part without having to buy brand new and spending a small fortune on items I will most likely not wear again.

There's even some designer brands, and it's all very well organized. I especially love their variety of athletic brands- fabletics, lululemon (of course), athleta, nike, nobull, and many more. I got 2 full fabletics/ athleta outfits for literally like $60, which is probably 2-3 that buying brand new in store. There are options for the guys, too- I brought my dad here and helped him find a few nice dress shirts for about $15 a piece, and they were really nice brands like Tommy Bahama, etc. If you want new sneakers or shoes, they had a really impressive collection here. I had to have very strong self control not to cop a few pairs of sneakers. These are a little pricier, but still much cheaper then buying new.

So you need to watch for it. Wow! When the owners call it a Toy Emporium, that's a real understatement! There are so many items placed in side rooms and all over the place, I have not seen this volume except in large dealers at the Tampa Comic & Toy Con! And these are not "toys" so much as Collectibles. Their stock includes classic car models, Hot Wheels, miniature figurines, super heroes, trucks, games and lots more. All the rooms and displays have themes. Imagine a whole room filled with nothing but Hot Wheels collectibles, old and new. It feels a little claustrophobic with so many displays in small rooms. They do have comics but not in the normal sense. There are more than 20 long boxes of comics, each can hold up to 150 comics. These are all for $1.00 each, or you can buy an entire box for $60, and you pick the comics. I admit I did eventually walk out with a long box of comics. These are basically to donate to several charities such as Comics For Kids, for kids in hospitals and treatment centers. Also Comics For Military for traveling military members in USO locations. A great place to check out if you have any interest in Collectibles.

They also used to have much more to choose from in home decor, and they've gotten a lot rid of a lot of merchandise. Prices are still fine, but I probably won't come back unless I'm in the area simply because of the way they've changed how they sort their clothes. Also, I'm waiting in the line and there's probably about 20 people ahead of me and there's only one cashier checking out.
