The building is pretty big but parking area is limited. They have a variety of items and right now they are featuring a lot of Halloween decorations and costumes. There is a section of men's clothes and a section with women's clothing. There are pet items, a few appliances like vacuum cleaners, shoes, kitchenware and odds and ends. They have a small area of higher end clothes but not much there. They also accept donations at this one. read more

This was the best Goodwill I've been to. There's a Plato's Closet nearby and my theory is this place gets the Plato's rejects and I came out of Goodwill with 8 items for $53 and I only found 3 pieces worth buying at Plato's. I really like this location as it's smaller and more of a boutique. They have nicer items than some of the other goodwills, but a much smaller selection. It's hit or miss just like all thrift stores. There's a small section of expensive brand names like Lululemon. Some stuff is overpriced, so it's exciting to find the color of the week tags. I would like to preface my story by saying that I am an avid shopper of Goodwill and have been a frequent customer of their stores for over 30 years, nationwide. Having said this, I have never had an experience as AWFUL and traumatizing as I had this past Friday, July 14th, 2023, when I visited this Goodwill Store (Southern AZ #84) with my husband. After having a great time shopping and finding a few choice items to purchase, my husband and I paid for our items separately, at the main register located directly back from the front entrance. The cashier was very pleasant and had even let me leave some items near the register while I was shopping, since they do not offer push carts at this location. After my husband and I left the store with our bags and our RECEIPTS, we went back to our car in the parking lot behind the store. Not even 10 minutes later while my husband was on the phone with his boss, an Oro Valley Police Officer or Sheriff approached the car and started tapping on the driver's side door where my husband was seated, on the phone, eating sour gummy bears that he had just purchased from the Goodwill. The officer then proceeded to have my husband (a Veteran) get out of our vehicle in the middle of his conversation, and started asking him questions without bothering to tell us what the problem was. He then turned my husband around and handcuffed him, hands behind his back, and told him to stand in over 100-degree weather while the officer did what I am assuming, was his investigation. During this time at least 3 more officers and at least one more police car arrived at the scene. Never in the 15 minutes that all of this was occurring did the officers speak with me except to ask my name/ SS# and then to tell me I was banned from ever coming back to this Goodwill. As it turns out, according to the officers, an employee of this store had called them and FALSELY ACCUSED & REPORTED ME of shoplifting from their store WITHOUT ANY PROOF or explanation. I should also mention that my husband offered to have the officers look at our RECEIPTS and BAGS to verify that we did not have any items in our possession that had not been paid for. The officers did not care to hear anything about it and proceeded to tell my husband that we were both banned from this location and if we ever came back, we would be immediately arrested. I would like to mention that I am a half Hopi Woman (BROWN) with a blonde, blue-eyed husband in case that was what bothered the person who decided to call the POLICE and FALSELY ACCUSE me of shoplifting from a GOODWILL. This is the perfect place to come when you want to find used designer finds and fashionable clothing and accessories on a budget. They have Men, women and children clothing and accessories. I saw Coach bags for sale and some other designer finds in shoes and clothing. They have nice men's clothing but definitely have more of a selection for women. There is lots of jewelry and small tid bits of home items. The day I went there was a manager special of 50% off long sleeve tops and dresses so it seems they do run specials. I ended up spending close $60 and was very happy with my purchase. It's quite a way from my home but next time I'm in the area I may stop by again. read more

So, not a typical Goodwill store, this is a boutique Goodwill store. On the one hand they don't have a wide range of everything and anything which is why I originally wandered in. On the other hand, what they do have is much higher quality, better organized and nicely presented. as compared to typical Goodwill Stores. The Good Threads boutique is a cute take on a higher end thrift shop. They definitely have a good selection and reasonable prices and it makes you feel good to purchase at Goodwill. This place was swarmed but be advised there is parking in the rear.Can't say I found anything I was looking for, but with thrift shops that's to be expected. You know, 2 stars feels harsh because the people who work here are great and run a clean well organized location. This review isn't about them. However, do be skeptical about items in the glass case, the luxury items are more than likely knockoffs (PC term for FAKE) that are 100% illegal to be sold in the US by every other individual or company. Why??? Goodwill sends these items to their boutique stores & claims they can't authenticate them. It makes me grrrrumble when I know that they do have VERY skilled staff that sort through the high end donations they receive & send only those they know to be genuine to shopgoodwill.com. It's sad that Goodwill of Southern Arizona (& many Goodwill Industries) are still profiting from this unethical practice when they have so many other wonderful items they have been given (for free) that are real to sell you. BEWARE. Also, familiarize yourself with their return policies if you don't know them. Good selection of clothing and shoes for men and women alike. Three spacious dressing rooms with enough room you could easily share with your shopping partner or a large farm animal. This store also carries some decor items and a large selection of soaps near the checkout. Special discounts of the day are posted everywhere so you can't miss them. Large men's and women's restroom that were very clean. We were very pleased with the entire store from top to bottom. This staff could have been more attentive. They were more concerned in gossiping with each other than providing quality customer service. A friendly hello when we walked in would have gone a long way. I think it's a great concept, but the execution isn't great. I would say it skews to cater towards older women, so keep that in mind. You might be able to find a good deal on professional clothes if you look hard. They also have a big selection of formal dresses. Many of the clothes are overpriced. I saw a used pair of fila sweatpants for 14.99. You could probably get a better deal on a brand new pair at kohls. I've been in 3 times and never found anything worth buying. Won't be going back as I would rather have to search a bit harder for a better deal at a regular goodwill! And for trendier pieces I will stick to Plato's closet. read more

What a fun boutique! I had planned to stop by in the past but today was my lucky day. It was a sale day! This is a nice size store, with a nice selection of women's, men's and children's clothing. They have some housewares, like some unique serving pieces, "artwork", etc. the clothing is higher end, such as Chicos, Ralph Lauren, etc...not too fancy, but good quality. I was able to pick up three pair of shorts and two blouses for $17. On sale days, most items are 50% off. Nice customer service, good selection, and extra parking in the back. This store has some nice stuff, pretty well priced considering. I'd equate it to sales prices on new stuff, sometimes clearance prices (depending on the brand). What surprised me is the amount of stuff that was new, bought by goodwill to sell here. I went here with high expectations because of that I've heard. I went in today and was disappointed, to me it's unorganized and over priced. The fake hand bags are normal in thrift shops but at least other shops price them low because they are fake. But $40 for a fake coach bag? That's a joke lol. Have been told by their employees multiple times that real handbags and jewelry gets sent to the online site, and the fake/counterfeit stuff gets sent to this store. they charge upwards of $80-$200 for KNOWINGLY counterfeit merchandise and then play it innocent as if they didn't know. not only is this ILLEGAL, but it is wrong as well. read more

This place is a little out of my way but I bought several things, and found lots more things I liked but just didn't quite fit, which is just the Way of Thrifting, of course. The shop is nicely staged, lots of inventory, and they have two big dressing rooms. It is a bit more expensive than a usual thrift shop but I thought things were reasonable, maybe in the $8-$20 range. It's a variety of clothing for men and women: casual, dressed up, "going out", vintage, and work-appropriate. They have a little bit of curated housewares and new cheap (but cute) jewelry. The two girls working were friendly and sweet when I asked questions, but let my friends and I browse and try things on at our leisre (my preferred customer service style). read more

However, marking up things like White House/Black Market or J Crew, I don't really understand. Those brands are all readily available at all thrift stores at normal thrift store prices. I just love going to resale shops on many levels. Your'e recycling, your'e buying cheaply, profit from shop goes to charity usually, unique items, etc. So there are lots of good reasons to buy at a resale shop. Items here are laid out quite nicely making it easier to find what you need. I went during their opening last month so it was very crowded. There is parking in the back if the front lot seems packed. I was disappointed by the prices. Almost retail for much of the clothing. The did have an assortment of boutique items (Crew, Benneton, Ferragamo), but a lot of the stock seemed to be really outdated. I won't rule them out though. The great thing about this kind of shop is that you never know what awaits you. So with that being said, another trip is on my radar. read more

New Goodwill format - it is NOT a plain Goodwill store. Nicer things, some new, good brands - J Crew, Ann Klein - beautifully laid out. Nice changing rooms, very much like a boutique, but with great prices for expensive items. They also have very cool, vintage items with some in "like new" condition. The stock changes weekly, and the staff is picky about having the best things (YAY!!) If you are looking for $3, thrift store Tshirts, this is not your place.
