My daughter was Scooby for a couple of years.

Goodwill was found in 1902 by Boston Minister, Reverend Edgar J. Helms. He took donations from wealthy Bostonians and hired people who were poor and could fix the items. They were then given to the people who worked on them or were resold. Goodwill's philosophy is "a hand up, not a hand out". Today Goodwill has become a $5 billion nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment, and community programs for people who have disabilities that might prevent them from getting a job on their own. Everything is nicer in Naples and this extends to their Goodwill. This is the type of Goodwill store that I recently visited in Sebring. In addition to the usual clothes and second hand items, they have a ton of brand new items which they sell at discount prices. My favorite part of the store was their huge Halloween Boo-teek. Brand new costumes and decorations were mixed in with second hand clothing and Halloween items. They had some incredible things. My favorite was a wedding dress covered in blood splatter. All you would need is an ax and then you could be the bride from the Haunted Mansion. Unfortunately it was so tiny, too small even for my daughter. There was also a prom looking dress with blood that would make a perfect Carrie. I found a chartreuse ball gown that reminded me of Winifred from Hocus Pocus. The dresses were $19.99. With a little imagination you could put together an inexpensive contest winning costume. Goodwill even had Christmas items in their Boo-trek. Selling Christmas items in September, now that's truly scary.

This is an excellent Goodwill store. This was our first time visiting this particular Goodwill and we loved the experience. The store is huge, immaculate, each area is meticulously kept and organized. The staff is wonderful and attentive. My parents found a whole bunch of treasures. We found some vintage china that we loved and re-homed. I truly love shopping at second hand stores and purchasing items that simply can't be bought in regular stores. I love giving new life to these vintage pieces and adding them as treasures to our home. Pro tip: There is plenty of free parking at this location.

You can find everything from a cute everyday top to high end designer pieces that are perfect for special occasions. I went right after Thanksgiving and everything was 75% off, which was amazing. I spent about $120 on what would have been over $550 worth of clothes. If you enjoy thrifting and finding unique pieces, this place is absolutely worth a stop. Great selection, great deals, and you never know what treasure you'll find.

While shopping, I observed multiple staff members who were restocking merchandise openly discussing, in front of customers, how they were removing the "good" items from the sales floor to take to the back and set aside in personal piles for one another. This was spoken about loudly and casually, as if it were standard practice. While doing so, these same employees repeatedly stepped directly in front of me and physically pushed past me to access racks I was actively browsing. This occurred multiple times and created an uncomfortable and disrespectful situation. The combination of staff hoarding merchandise for personal use and physically disregarding customers reflects a serious lapse in professionalism and store oversight. Customers should not be displaced or made uncomfortable so that staff can reserve merchandise for themselves. This behavior undermines trust, fairness, and the integrity of the store's operations, and leadership should be made aware.

They're supposed to be a charity but they still are livelihood and ruined our lives and we still don't have a vehicle we spent $7,800 everything we saved for years just to have it stolen from us. He still to this day has not rectified the situation he will not replace the vehicle he had ample time to do so he tricked us by making us pay to have our car towed to Brandon the mechanic and pretend that he was going to fix our car and help us but he just ran out the time so I couldn't sue him in a lawsuit and then gave us back a broke down piece of car that didn't work and they wouldn't even scrap it for $200 I cannot believe the audacity of this company has little regard for people's families in their lives they took everything from us. They sold us a car for double the price it was worth. I should Not have been trusting he is a lier. He stole our families life by selling us garbage for 7,800 our life savings the next morning after I spent our life savings on the car he said he would not do anything it was my problem then changed his mind we dropped the car off with Brandon who has our car for many months and never fixed anything towed our broke down piece of crap car back to us which we had to pay for and told us it was junk Naples Auto Donation center ruined our lives I lost my job, we lost our house, and my 3 kids I sent up north to live with family because I could have them homeless on the streets. He lied many times and truly ruined our families life They took everything from us. 239-302-7725 If you want details about how he stole our life savings and ruined our lives my daughter cries all the time I can honestly say he ruined our families life and smiled and said no warranties after he left my vehicle sit with Brandon the Auto mechanic who was supposed to fix it but all he did was spit in our face and not fix our car it was there for many months. He did nothing but lie repeatedly. He gave us back a 7,800 vehicle that we couldn't even sell for scrap for $200 it cost us more money to tow it over to go see Brandon until it back and he did absolutely nothing except early by car stood there rip everything out and not put the car back together. Naples Auto Donation center and Brandon all they did was run out time give us hope to spit in our face and ruined our lives. Karma is real and I hope every nasty thing Naples Auto donation center do to all the families you hurt comes back ten fold. Please don't buy anything from these horrible people who ruined our families life.

Since I can't pass up a thrift store, even when I'm actively downsizing, I poked around, ending up in the art section. Several weeks back I mentioned my intent to find replacement art for the pictures I'm taking when we sell our house furnished. Nothing, nothing, nothing .... hey, this works! A framed, double-matted photograph of dusk. Or maybe dawn. I can't tell. It was priced at $3.99. Well..... it happened to be community appreciation day. (No wonder the store was busy.) The cashier said that I previously accrued a dollar in shopper bonuses. I didn't know what he was talking about, but who am I to argue? Bottom line: this fine, double-matted, framed photo of sunrise (or sunset) came home with me for $1.50! Maybe it's my day after all. So I bought a couple of lottery tickets!

Considering that goodwills purpose it to provide a sense of community and help those in need, perhaps employing people who consider customers as an "inconvenience" and who LOCK THE DOORS WAY BEFORE YOUR CLOSING TIME, while openly acting exasperated with customers, doesn't do a good job of portraying the values this company NORMALLY stand for. Maybe your location wouldn't have such shitty reviews if employees were hired that actually WANT to be there. Thank you Kelly for helping us feel SO welcome. You never know someone's story or what they're going through. And I pray you never have to go through what we are or anyone else for that matter.
