I've been beefing up both my work and normal wardrobe on the cheap here, since the clothing selection is not exclusively 1990s shoulder pad blazers and crepe skirts (although there is that, too, if you need a hot purple [and i mean the color 'hot purple'] dress with puffy sleeves for something). As with any thrift store, you have to sift, but if you've got a reasonably good eye and aren't averse to trying things on over your clothes in the dressing area, you'll probably find something you like. You can also find a large selection of used books, videos, small appliances, dish sets, shoes, quilts, cheesy framed holographic unicorn prints, etc. Don't expect Williams-Sonoma up in here, but if you're not picky, the stuff they've got is great. They have the usual "certain price tag colors = 1/2 off" thing going on all the time, and on Saturdays, everything else is 1/3 off as well. Pretty sweet!

I brought in a brand-new pair of Badgley Mischka shoes (retail value $139) that I received as a gift but couldn't wear because they were too small. They offered me $9, which I declined--no big deal. I planned to sell them elsewhere. The issue happened when an employee placed a pricing sticker directly on the shoe. When she removed it, it ripped part of the finish and left behind paper and adhesive residue. I pointed it out immediately, but I was told it was "just paper" and that it would come off. When I got home, I realized the residue wasn't coming off, and the sticker had actually damaged the shoe. I returned to the store to explain what happened. The owner looked at them and told me it was "no big deal" because the damage was barely noticeable. She offered me $40 for the shoes instead of taking responsibility for the damage her employee caused. These shoes were brand new, still in the box, and were only damaged because of how they were handled in the store. What disappointed me most wasn't just the damage--it was the complete lack of accountability. There was no apology, no acknowledgment that they had caused the problem, and no real effort to make it right. When I asked if they could offer $50 instead, I was told they would lose money. At that point, it was clear the focus was on protecting their profit rather than taking care of a loyal customer. I'm still shocked by how this situation was handled. A simple apology and an effort to make things right would have gone a long way.

Although the shop is small, there is a lot of clothes to choose from and everything is organized well. Parking is available behind the shop along the small side street behind the shop. Cons: As mentioned, the inside of the shop is a tight fit, not much room to move around. Because of this, do NOT bring your child with you -shopping childless is not a con however ;-). No fault to the shop, but the turn getting back on York Road is scary, there is a hill and it is hard to see when pulling back out into traffic.

Every year my sister would utterly destroy the pot she used to make the ham. We all knew she wasn't following the recipe properly, but that ham was so darned good we were willing to sacrifice the pot. The thrift boutique doesn't offer a lot of kitchen stuff. We made a quick lap of the store and left within 2 minutes. Its a small shop and could possibly have something you'd like... Unfortunately the front entrance is a huge hassle. Two doors - making it impossible for someone to hold them both open simultaneously for a wheelchair user to enter. There's no way to get through the second door without running over the door holder and being slammed with the first. I suggest removing the second door for easier access. Happy hunting.

Plus theres tons of other thrifts on the same street. I loved the clothes. Very trendy in an eclectic way; wide variety of 80's/90's stuff, some festival stuff, some totally out there/whimsical/gay pride/woodstock/retro vibe stuff. It was all in my ball park because I love wearing pieces that you don't see on everyone, so I liked just about everything there. The negative for me is the prices. Personally, a big reason I love thrifting is because I usually find them at a steal price at goodwill or in a cool thrift store off the beaten path, etc. which makes it such a cool experience. But when I go to a thrift store with higher prices it takes away from the experience for me a bit, I feel like I'm paying someone else to do the fun searching for me which can be okay too I guess. For example, I think a really cool T shirt with Tupac on it was $60 or something around there. There's just no chance I'd buy that. It's pretty on par price-wise with the other shops in the area though. I forgot to take pictures inside but I bought this cool shirt I'm wearing for $16.

This is usually the part of the city I head to when I want to stroll around and maybe do some vintage shopping/antiquing (don't judge me). Many who know me know that I have a weakness for 80s/90s and especially throwback clothing and accessories that remind me of my childhood. This is not something unique to me but I will say everyone who loves vintage will probably find something that they like or want here at SIX2SIX. My first time in I didn't get to spend as much time as I'd like but I plan on heading back soon when there are no errands to run and more time to spend drooling over their amazing selection. Thinking nothing of it I bought the jacket and someone pointed out to me I was wearing !!!PUFF DADDYS, brand SEAN JOHN!!! I had expected to view another store of hers, and when I called merely asking for an apology, as I thought the sale was deceitful and she knew its P.Diddys, she dismissed me and hung up. I probably brought in the most business as I bought other garments too. Now when I look at even these other garments it puts a bad taste in my mouth. Absolutely unacceptable
