We've been visiting various thrift stores around the county recently, and thus far I feel like this Goodwill has been the most disappointing. If I could describe it in one word: SPARSE. I know Goodwill gets donations constantly, but you wouldn't know that by visiting this location. They had maybe two dozen pairs of men's pants (not counting "slacks"). This location should be ashamed. I saw crazy prices, some things cost more than they cost in Ross, TJMaxx and heck, Walmart. $25 dollar throw blankets. Vase priced at more than the original cost at Ross. Such a shame. I will. It be returning and do not recommend. read more

A hidden gem of Parkville/ Nottingham area. Gotta hunt for what you looking for. Some days you win and some days you end up empty handed. You can find items that new and some gently used. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Had 1 young lady went out her way to help Cinderella find a missing shoe. Another associate cleaned out the dressing room without griping. read more

Took some time, but I found a brand new White House/Black Market dress with matching cardigan for $25! (Unworn with tags still on- easily would be at least $300 in store/retail). A RARE find that was SO worth the time it took to make my way through the racks of junk... For the most part, this location has incredible deals on lightly-used furniture as well. read more

In comparison to other goodwill stores I have been to, this one is pretty good. Large selection, fairly well organized, friendly staff. They often have items that still have the department store price tags on it. The only negative for this location is that the shoes are on top of the clothing racks. If you want to see all the shoes, you have to walk up and down every single aisle of clothing. And it's a little difficult for shorter people to see the shoes cause they are up so high. read more

I went here with my girlfriend while she was getting an oil change and we ended up spending about two hours in this place. They have a decent assortment of thrift store junk, the vast majority being in good condition. Everything is organized fairly well too. The women's clothes were awesome, my girlfriend ended up spending a pretty penny on shoes and garments. If you're short you may have a hard time seeing the shoes given they are on top of the clothes racks. The guys clothes section blows however. It's really small and there is not much in the way of assortment. A decent thrift store with minimal BS junk and a purchasable selection. read more

Definitely one of the larger and better goodwills in the Baltimore area. This store usually has a decent selection of name brand clothing and they always have donated clothing from target's clearance section with the tags still attached. While the men's section is fairly small (unsurprising), the housewares section is huge, they have a great book section, and the prices are usually fair. Like all goodwills they have a sale on a different colored item each week which is a great additional bonus Parking is easy since there a huge lot across from the store. They are open 9am-9pm which makes finding a time to stop by easier. I will agree with an earlier reviewer that the staff isn't the most helpful; often while I'm checking out they are having their own conversations among themselves, but if you're just there for the great deals you won't be disappointed. read more

Terrible! They were two clothing items on the floor that I wanted to purchase. They did not have tags on them, but I really wanted to purchase them. I was told since they do not have tags I cannot purchase them today. Totally unprofessional why can't they just mark them with the price and sell them to me? Ok, it's Goodwill. What exactly are you expecting? Nordstrom? If you can get past that fact, you should be ok. I've found great deals as far as clothes go. I don't shop in housewares or furniture at all. I got an entire outfit for less that $10 for a funeral the next day and it looked new! Every time I have gone in there I have found stuff. You just need to look carefully! Btw- another poster commented on the smell. It does smell pretty awful. Just wash your clothes and any residual smell is gone. As far as the comments about the staff, well.... SOME of the staff is pretty rough, there are others that are great. Again, it's Goodwill. You are getting amazing deals. I've donated a lot in the last 6 months because of moving and cleaning out and every time the gentlemen in the back loading dock are always so friendly and helpful. Have found some decent items here as well including a brand new with tags Target swimsuit for my daughter. read more

Probably the worst Goodwill in Baltimore. Prices are so high on some items it's laughable. A lot of stuff in the housewares/electronics section is straight up broken, and yet it will be priced at $10 or even $20. Also, the staff at the register clearly hate their jobs. They treat customers like they're trying to get away with something. Its weird. Management at this place needs to get a grip. read more

The clothing and DVDs here are OK. A great book selection. What is not so great: There are always huge lines, no public restroom, and the entire store smells like urine. I will not be going back here anytime soon... read more

(This review only pertains to the goodwill store at 8818 Belair Road, not all goodwills) I have shopped here for over 15 years but it seems like the prices have shot up and the customer service has gone down....I mean REALLLLY dreadful over the past few months.... I stopped by after WORK on a Friday and the purple haired 'MANAGER', (I guess that is who she is), did nothing to move the line along. Even though there were 4, yes count them, 4, employees in goodwill shirts at the front of the store, she was clueless to the line. The tall guy breathing down my neck was complaining, but I was the one who sat my cart aside and left. (after spending time shopping for over an hour) She said "Why you so mad baby????", but made no effort to move. AT. ALL. Really....this did not deserve an answer. I just left. A real manager would have said..."I can check you out now". RIDICULOUS! read more

This is my favorite Goodwill in the Baltimore area. It's huge and has a great selection. Today, I bought a mint condition Casio SK-1 sampler (with original manual) from 1986 for a grand total of $10. I've seen this quirky little keyboard sell for $80-100! This particular location always has some musical gear for sale. I'll be stopping by this Goodwill weekly because there are some real deals to be found. read more
